My husband and I stayed here in June with our 3 children at the riverside cottages for two nights. While on the resort we took in golf at both the Brudenell River course and Dundarave. We also dined at the clubhouse restaurant, took in the pool (both indoor and outdoor) and enjoyed a great Father’s Day weekend.

The golf courses were in impeccable condition and despite being busy, the course marshals did a great job of making us feel like we were the only ones on the course. It was a fantasy golfing experience for the whole family.

After golf we dined at the clubhouse restaurant. The service was quick and the wait staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. They even catered to our daughter who has celiac disease.

We also spent plenty of time at the heated outdoor pool, which was well maintained and offered a beautiful view of the Brudenell River. The kids absolutely loved it.

The cottages were spacious and had all the comforts of home. We felt very relaxed and will definitely return again. Excellent value.

I must admit we are not golfers and travelled for leisure, but I was disappointed overall with our stay. It is not disability friendly, yes there are elevators, however none of the doors are equipped with a door opener thus making it difficult to get unassisted from one area to another. There are adequate ramps, but it is impossible to get to the indoor pool without going through a restaurant or outside and around buildings depending on room location. Outdoor pool not open until July 1st despite climate change giving us wonderful weather in May and June now. Unfortunately, our air conditioning also broke, we were quickly moved and given an upgrade which was nice and staff was efficient. Also our room was not freshen up daily, housekeeping did knock around 430 to see if we needed anything, but I am used to having room freshened up, etc during the day. The room was very clean and comfortable, the lobby was comfortable and relaxing, outdoor seating areas between buildings was a nice place to sit and read a book.

We had a lovely trip to PEI! We're not golfers but we wanted to stay in a resort type atmosphere, so we chose the Rodd Brudenell. The grounds are beautiful! Situated right on the river, there is a trail along the river and a little island to explore, tennis courts, kayaks, outdoor and indoor pool - and obviously the golf course, which seemed very busy, so I'll assume it's a good one! Because our kids are under 12, we were given kids eat free vouchers, which was a great bonus! We had breakfast everyday at Club 19(and a couple of dinners), the food and service there was great! I very highly recommend the horseback riding provided but Brudenell stables(which is on the property but not affiliated with the hotel). We booked a 45 minute trail ride, it was amazing!!
My only negative comments would be that the room could use a revamp. It seems as though it has not been updated in probably 20 years, infact, I would guess the entire hotel has not been updated in that long. It was not a deal breaker, by any means, but it was noticeable. My other negative is that the spa is only open a few days a week and only until 4pm, I would have loved to have a treatment, perhaps if they were open a bit later . All in all, we had a fantastic time, I would definitely recommend this resort!

I'll start by saying I've never left a negative review - ever. However, this stay warrants a comment. During the 3 night stay, there was a wasp nest outside the door so we couldn't use the deck area, the shower drain was backed up and though the staff come to look at it they did not want to address it until other cleaners were available (post our departure). The breakfast was lukewarm and not good for the price. The promotional gift card ($100) for the Stay and Savor program was not available with the staff. They provided a government number who routed us back to the Rodd eventually and almost a month later it still has not arrived. I called to ask if I had left an item in the room and 3 weeks later no one has bothered to call. Overall, not a "resort" I'd revisit.

We arrived at the resort at 4pm and were told that our room would be available in an hour. After three hours we still did not have a room. As we were cycling we wanted to shower/change, etc before dinner. Fortunately one couple in our group was able to get a room after 2 hours, so we could share that. Management seemed completely unconcerned with the many travellers waiting in the hot, stuffy lobby for a room. Staff was overwhelmed and I felt badly for the cleaning staff as they clearly did not have enough time to clean all the necessary rooms. I understand that many places are struggling to find staff, but the situation could have been managed so much better - a simple apology and a coupon for a cold drink in the restaurant would have gone a long way. I would not stay there again.

The room are outdated but heard when we left that they were removing the old carpet and putting hard flooring which is not allergenic. They accept dogs in the room so make sure you ask if your are like me with bad allergy. The food and drink was good, the courses our absolutely phenomenal. The stay was very well organized with Gendron Montreal. Everything was on cue. Overall good. Hope also they change the mattress, old and uncomfortable.

We booked 2 rooms to stay at the end of September and were lucky as the resort was almost booked up. I did look at the reviews and they were mixed but honestly for the location, this is a great option. The rooms were good and very spacious plus we had a balcony that overlooked the lake. With Covid, we knew that there would not be any housekeeping which is fine. If we needed anything, we would just ask the front desk.
The location was great having 2 of the top golf courses on site that you can just walk to.
We ate at the Club House one night and the food was good but they were very busy.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return there again if we do go back to PEI. The location is central to most of the golf courses nearby which is what we liked.

Our family has made this our #1 Vacation Destination for 5 years now. We are from NB and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else... seriously.. give us a world travel pass and we would rather stay at Crowbush. Nothing compares to walking through the doors at Rodd Crowbush, all the stresses of the world quickly melt away and you are treated like royalty by every member of the team. This year we were a little nervous travelling during the pandemic but I truly felt this was a trip our family of 4 needed to take. As soon as we arrived I could see the steps taken to ensure the safety of the guests and the staff. The staff made us feel welcome and secure, explained what precautions were in place and showed that our safety above all else was a priority. After our 4 night stay we left feeling even more relaxed then ever imagined, the kids gained new and amazing memories. We are incredibly appreciative with the level of standards the resort has set for itself and love recommending Rodd Crowbush to anyone looking for an amazing getaway but this year during the pandemic I wouldn’t recommend staying anywhere else.

The rooms were extremely dated and dirty. The club is 19 restaurant served me undercooked fish and wouldn’t comp the meal. The original room I booked wasn’t available. It’s too bad because the property itself is beautiful. I won’t be returning.

The gentleman was rude at front desk I understand it was busy but no need to nasty about it. I was there on Business with my Boss we had 2 separate rooms the lobby was packed so was the front of the hotel so I told her to wait in line I will unload all the bags onto a cart I pushed it inside the lobby told her I would move the truck to general parking so it wasn't so congested out front of the hotel plus where I had to park blocked off the traffic circle which prevented anyone else of getting around me. By the time I got the truck parked and back to the lobby she just approached the counter and when I met up with her I was rudely told to go back to the end of the line although both rooms were under her credit card. I went back to the line and waited 30 mins just to get to the counter and they told me my room was not ready. I didn't get into my room until 2-1/2 hours past the check in time. If it wasn't for the lady working the front counter my trip would of been ruined the man should take a few notes on how to handle pressure and deal with staff shortages because they are just not in PEI they are everywhere

Hi Cheryl C, there are a couple of options available to you. If your looking to travel around our island then a good option is a rental car or if you just require a trip to and from the resort then taxis are available. Unfortunately I am unable to post the link for our airport but information can be found if you search, Charlottetown Airport YYG. Many thanks again and we look forward to seeing you.
