Detailed Reviews
We visited July for a fortnight holiday. The room was pool facing which I did ask for. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was powerful and had plenty of hit water. There was a fridge in the room which was free. The only thing we had to pay for was the safe which was €60 with €10 deposit. The room was plenty big enough with very good Aircon when needed. The bed was very comfortable. There is only one negative about the room was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. As we were bed and breakfast that would have been nice.
The entertainment at night was a mixed bag some nights it was very good others not so. It finished around 1200 every night if you want to get an earlier night ask for a room not facing the pool.
The breakfast had a very good choice of everything you would expect no complaints at all.
The pool area was good but when it got busier on the second week if you weren't down by 1000 you would be getting a bed. Some people did start to reserve beds which is always annoying. The only negative was the larger pool was very deep with it being 2.0M upto 2.7M but there is a small pool for children.
On the whole I would highly recommend this hotel as it is perfectly located in the middle of the resort. The rooms are good with staff all being polite and friendly.

Wouldn’t stay again. Hotel wasn’t too bad but there was no real atmosphere, sadly the pool is in a mostly shaded area, food was okay however the restaurant felt quite cramped by the food stations making it difficult to queue. $5 euros non refundable for a pool towel in a hotel was weird. Gym was fine however no air flow so felt quite hot and stuffy.

We went to eat at the hotel restaurant since we were staying somewhere else but seeing that they offered brothy rice we wanted to try it.
The waiters shouted information to each other and to the kitchen, which was located on the terrace of the hotel.
The broken eggs leave a lot to be desired since the potatoes were probably frozen and refried, really tough...
The soupy rice that we ordered for two was not bad but had little seafood flavor, a little bland. They leave the wine unopened on the table and look for a life other than the kind of fight that after eating leaves you sleeping all afternoon.
During the meal the waiters seemed a little worried because apparently the orders were not coming out of the kitchen and they shouted “nothing is coming out!!”
It must be said that there were several waiters both at the bar and in the room and by the time we had to order dessert more than once we looked at them and they stood to the side without coming to order it.
Finally, a waiter threw an ashtray on the floor and broke it, getting a fight from who I suppose would be his superior in case a child cut himself, but these are things that happen, I think we have all had a glass broken at some point...
€35 for 2 people for a menu of this quality and the lack of coordination between waiters and the kitchen is a bit overpriced, basically you pay to eat in a hotel, better to go to Paco's bar where they shout at each other but at least the potatoes They are cut by hand.
They didn't even say good afternoon to us when we left.

We were pulled in off the street and given a table, the man at the front said they weren't too busy and we wouldn't be waiting long.
We ordered some drinks, Vino/Cerveza/Cocktails, they were ok, and fairly standard pricing, and ordered the food when they arrived, Starters were 2x Chicken Croquettes and 2x Spanish Tortilla. Then mains were also ordered.
40 minutes later, we still hadn't recieved the starters, so we asked the Waiter who advised a couple of minutes. They were getting busy but weren't that busy when we arrived. 5 Minutes later, I asked how long, and told him that if they couldn't get them out in 5 minutes then we wanted to cancel. 5 minutes later - Nothing. So we asked another waiter who chased it up! Then the Croquettes arrived, but no Tortillas. We waited and still no tortillas, so we asked to cancel and said we would pay for the drinks - the waiter got quite rude and said that the tortillas were now ready so we had to pay for them. The Croquettes were now stone cold. We finally managed to pay for the drinks and leave!!
While we were there, we could see the kitchen as it was outside. There was people smoking next to it and also food was being placed on the counter and left there for 10 minutes before a waiter came to collect it!
I would not recommend.

Unbelievable like 5 years ago. We celebrated my father's 95th, and how you've always exceeded our expectations. From the rooms, dining room, animation, terrace... all professionals and with a very good treatment, reserving several tables on the terrace for the birthday celebration, attending our requests...
All Educated and Pro Staff. And last but not least the reception staff, and a special mention for Annie, thank you, you are an amazing Pro, varying every last minute change, making us the very pleasant stay, with the email exchanges we have had.
Annie, it has been a pleasure to stay at your hotel, and we have no doubt that if we have to return to the area, it will be at the Alhambra.
From my family and my staff, thank you.

Cons - not all staff are nice, noisy hotel guests, the food was not good you are better off eating out like we did every night. Room was not cleaned the whole trip aside from towel change, rooms were not as glamorisly advertised and door stop broken (safety hazard as a screw was exposed. Pros- close to the beach and restaurants and majority of staff were nice.

Come over from my hotel to have lunch with my 2 daughters. Everything was going well, i order chicken thighs chips, chesse burger and chips and a fish and chips. When the guy brought out the food he told me the chicken had egg i said thnaks for letting me know. My daughter asked if she could try some of my fish once given her some she started to cough, when i looked i noticed tiny bones when i asked the guy why he hadnt informed me of this he said what is he meant to do tell me the eye colour of the fish also!
He then removed my plate? Why i dont no! When i asked for the bill he has to put down my meal! I wasnt paying for something i didnt get to eat as he removed it!
When i explained this to him he said i still needed to pay i said i want to speak with a manager (being a manager of a setting myself) after 20 mins of nothing from the manager the guy come back with my meal removed, he said i need to settle the bill i explained i was more than happy to pay for the other meals as they were eaten, he then stand infront of my 15 year old and said “i feel sorry for you for having a mum like that”
I went to the hotel to speak to the manager or just stood in the far corner listening to me talking with the young guy before leaving, i was then informed to fill out a form as i was making a complaint,
The hole hotel staff seem confused and lack manners!

It was an okay hotel, nothing special.
It was a little dirty here and there
In the evening at 21:00, excessively loud music was played, you couldn't sleep at all.
The breakfast was good enough, much the same.
I don't recommend it if you have toddlers who need to sleep early. But if you are on a party trip and have the energy to party every day, then the hotel is for you.

Stayed here for 4 nights with family and children! Can not praise this hotel enough!
The rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towels and the maids were so friendly.
The food selection was good, all the staff at the hotel were amazing especially Jimmy the children’s entertainer, he was so great with the children and made us laugh!
The hotel is in a great spot, close to the shops, restaurants and beach!
I would definitely recommend and will 100% be back again, the atmosphere is amazing in the evenings with love bands and singers and the bar staff are friendly and polite!
I would give this hotel a 10/10!
