Plenty to like about this hotel - the reception team are right on it - friendly and efficient with good, English skills and a ready smile. The communal areas are pleasant and in good order, and the onsite, underground parking is a plus (you can pre-book a space for €10pn). Breakfast is a decent enough buffet spread but there is no restaurant. There is a dinky little bar, with drinks on request via reception staff. Rooms are pretty basic with little in the way of decorative titivation and the hairdryer is of the wall fixed variety. Bravo re the generous provision of coat hangers, English Sky channels and tea making though. The hotel is very central, well placed for both the old town and the station, though the busy road location does result in a fair bit of noise. Would we return? Yes, because the staff are so good.

Very well located close to the center and Monza train station for getting around Milan. There is also a bus that allows you to reach Malpensa airport at an affordable price. Kind and attentive staff 24/7. You have to ask for an internal room to avoid listening to the train traffic. Possible to park the car at a good price. Room clean and maintained every day

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Where to start I was supposed to be there for 5 nights had to check out after 1 night. Not heat no hot water which was immediately brought to the person at the desks attention she said it would be days before the heat would be turned on. How is that even possible?
Room was not what I reserved and was dirty also brought this to housekeeping attention there was someone else’s hair on the bed and in the sink and dust and debris on the floors. While it’s close to the train if you want the walls to shake and hear every other guest doors and walls are very thin there is absolutely nothing royal about this hotel except for what a royal nightmare it’s been dealing with them to get a refund for the unused nights. When I checked out I was told by the manager they would issue a refund but the next manager flat out rejected the request to bad it’s at there discretion on if they refund you or not. Really a shame how they flat out lied and even more of a shame they rent hotel rooms that dirty and with no heat.
Run away as fast as you can from this place.

Dear Marci, I'm Davide nice to meet you. Please note that before your check-in you ask me to change the date of departure; unfortunately the terms&conditions through Hotels.com was clear; no way for us to change it. About the problems in your room, it's better if you let us know during your stay, not after the departure. Kind Regards, Davide

Very nice and friendly staff. We had 5 rooms and they always had to give us our numbers straight away. All the rooms were OK. The size is good, the bathrooms are modern. The beds are a bit hard, but good. The rooms are as in the pictures. You can make coffee or tea in the room. Unfortunately, at the end of April, when the outside temperature was 2 degrees, the heating was turned off. As the bathroom has a stone floor, it was extremely cold and uncomfortable in there. A real shame. The breakfast buffet was very good and was always refilled immediately. The coffee was freshly made and served. Here too, the staff were super nice and friendly.
In the evening there is something like a small bar and you can get a glass of wine or beer at great prices.
It is very well located. Max. 5 minutes from the train station and just across the big intersection and you are in the old town.

I stayed here for four days on the occasion of the Italian Grand Prix. Of course the price was adapted to the period but honestly this is common practice all over the world so nothing to be scandalised about. The hotel is on the edge of the historical centre of Monza, a big plus of the hotel is the possibility to reserve a parking space. Very useful particularly during the Grand Prix. The room was perfectly in line with what to expect from a 4 star hotel, nothing to complain about. The room overlooked the main road but the soundproofing was quite good. I know that in Italy breakfasts are already poor compared to other countries like Germany or Austria but in my opinion an improvement in choice and quality would be necessary. The staff always available and very kind. If I had the opportunity I would definitely return.

The hotel is fantastic. Old but very well maintained property with very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Very very neat and clean. The staff allowed me late checkout instantly when I asked for it. This is a typical old school hotel that gives u Excellant service without any cost cutting. Location is Excellant and within 5 mins of Monza railway station. I would highly recommend it for family stay. We visited lake como, Lugano, tirano and Milan proper basing from monza and it was fantastic for us.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights to attend the Formula One event at the Autódromo. Because of the event, we paid a hefty price for a superior room which was expected. However, upon check-in we were given a small, dark and quite dated room which was very different from the photo of a superior room on their website. I immediately complained and showed them my reservation and after some discussion, we were finally moved to a superior room. I’m glad the front desk corrected their error, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. And there was no apology at all! This hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk to the train station and the city center. Other than our initial experience with the front desk, the rest of the staff were all very helpful and professional. The breakfast was good with lots of options. The superior room is roomy and well lit. However the rooms need some upgrading and the bathroom needs quite a bit of cleaning to get rid of mold and mildew in the shower area. The bed was also quite uncomfortable and given my bad back, it was hard to get a good night’s sleep. So I give the staff 4 stars and the room two stars.

The hotel is very well located.... close to the train and in the center, where there are several shops.... but the shops close early. Without a doubt, the one who makes the difference at the hotel is Cris, who prepares breakfast, very attentive, friendly, gave lots of tips on what to do in the city, prepared coffee a little earlier on a day when we needed to leave before breakfast started. ... she is great. Breakfast has everything we need... everything hot, fresh and delicious The room is very clean, cozy.... The box is very tight, it could be a little bigger... but it doesn't ruin the experience.

Quite decent. But really only 3-star level. Parking is possible in an underground car park at the back of the building. The breakfast was OK. Overall, not a bad hotel stay. But not the "best hotel in town".

There are three airports in the vicinity of Milan, so I need to know which one you're going to. From the station in Monza, which is situated 200 meters away from the hotel, you can catch trains that will take you to Milan's central station in ten minutes. There are slower connections too, so you need to check Trenitalia's website. I suppose you're asking about the big cathedral in Milano (the dome). From the central station it's a few stops away with the yellow tube line. Royal Falcone is a great hotel and Monza is a very nice little city with its on dome, but if you mainly want to see Milano you might find it too tricky and time consuming to stay outside.
My mother and I wanted to see The Last Supper, only to find out that you need to book a ticket in advance. They told us that they were sold out for three weeks, so you need to arrange this from home. We had no idea, so my 86-year-old mother was very disappointed by this.
There are more places to choose from in the Monza area.
