Seaside A Lifestyle Resort - Adults Only is often celebrated for its spotless cleanliness and friendly, attentive staff that go above and beyond with welcome treats and potential room upgrades. Set in a picturesque cliffside location, the resort offers stunning sea views and a chic, stylish atmosphere, though the entertainment volume doesn't always hit the right note for everyone. The hotel features serene amenities and diverse dining experiences, but some guests feel the activities could be more varied. Room experiences are a mixed bag, with commendations for cleanliness and views, but some concerns over privacy and maintenance. While many find the pricing reasonable, others question the value for the quality received.

Thank you to Seaside for the best holiday my Fiancée and I have ever had. We stayed in room 45 that was a swim up room with a sea view and it was absolutely stunning. From the room we had a view of the sea which is a crystal clear emerald and the cliffs. Just outside the room was a shared balcony area with a shared infinity pool overlooking the beach and the pictures the hotel use are not edited or made to seem better than they actually are. What you see is genuinely what you get.

There are 3 a la carte restaurants on site and I would recommend booking these on the day of arrival for your best chance to visit all 3, and they are all worth a visit. The customer relations staff were brilliant in getting us booked in for these, we had to go on a waiting list for Umi but managed to get in the same day. We were planning on heading into Heraklion for a couple of nights rather than eating at the buffet restaurant but after our first time eating there decided it wasn't worth heading out! The food at the buffet in my opinion was restaurant standard and there was a huge variety. Even though it was self serve the restaurant still presented each dish very nicely. The desserts here are also incredible and so photogenic.

We had a couples massage whilst we were here and the masseuses were brilliant , the massages are on the expensive side however I would expect this at a 5* resort and you get what you pay for here. We were unsure whether to get our first massage but after experiencing that decided to book back in for another before we flew home.

We did make use of the on-site gym which has enough things to get by but not loads of equipment etc. We also attended a yoga session which was really nice and relaxing and the yoga instructor was friendly and patient. There is also a padel court and tennis court free to book, we played a bit of padel one of the evenings which was great.

All in all the views are the huge selling point of this resort and we would come back purely for that reason, however the food and facilities are truly top tier as well. The final cherry on top is that the staff here are truly wonderful and really make this hotel what it is. There are so many staff members we would love to name as they deserve recognition but unfortunately we have forgotten a lot of the names; however special mention to Giorgios who went out of his way to help and speak to us; the night staff Leonidas who showed us around once we arrived and really set the standard for the staff, Mario at the bars and the girls at Pelagos pool bar. The maid service here is also amazing and they are so friendly, always have a huge smile on their face!

Whilst not necessary due to the staff knowing multiple languages, I would really recommend learning some small Greek phrases, it really puts a smile on the staffs face and we are visiting their country after all!

Absolutely superb holiday and we can't wait to visit again!

Dear valuable guest, Thank you so much for your glowing feedback and for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your recent stay with us at Seaside. We are truly delighted that you and your fiancée had such a wonderful holiday experience. It’s fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views, delicious food, and found our staff to be amazing. We are thrilled that room 45 with its swim-up feature and sea view exceeded your expectations and that you appreciated the authenticity of our imagery. We’re pleased you had the chance to experience all three of our à la carte restaurants and that you were able to secure a spot at Umi with the help of our customer relations team. Your kind words about the buffet and desserts are also much appreciated, as we strive to provide a restaurant-quality dining experience in every aspect. We're glad to hear your couples massage and other activities like yoga and padel contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Your mention of the gym facilities is duly noted, and we are always working to enhance our offerings. Most importantly, we are incredibly proud that our staff made such a lasting impression on you. Your recognition of their efforts means a lot to us, and we will be sure to pass along your kind words. We truly appreciate your suggestion about learning some Greek phrases – it's thoughtful guests like you who help create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you once again for choosing Seaside for your special holiday. We are honored to have provided you with such a memorable experience, and we cannot wait to welcome you back in the future. Warm regards, Seaside Team

Firstly, the views from our balcony and the main pool were absolutely stunning. Crete felt more like a tropical island and better than views I’ve experienced in Barbados or Fiji. We couldn’t stop appreciating the location of the hotel.

Rooms were clean and we didn’t run out of water in the rooms. If we took the water bottles to the pool area, they would just get warm, so it was better that we kept them in the room. Likewise, we didn’t miss not taking cocktails to the room because they’re always available in bar areas. Air con was working fine. The hotel app made it easy to request extra shampoo/conditioner via WhatsApp.

The beach is small, busy but not over crowded, and the water is wonderfully clear. We mostly enjoyed the main pool (salt water pool) and never had any problem finding sun beds.

The buffet was ok but clearly not up to the standard/variety it would have been before Covid as many stations were not in use and staff were serving due to health and safety restrictions. Overall, the hotel has adapted well and hand sanitiser was available in key locations. Kulinarium and Jasmine restaurants were brilliant.

The hotel manager was visible throughout, and very approachable if you were to have any questions or concerns. Special thanks to Katarina who seems to single-handedly run all the entertainment day and night with smiles and enthusiasm.

We travelled with children and teenagers (ages 11, 14 & 19) and they had a great time. WiFi was good! I would also recommend this hotel for couples on honeymoon as the views were amazing.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Sea Side Resort and Spa. This hotel exceeded all expectations.

We received a warm welcome at check in and was taken to our room by a golf cart. We were then shown how to use the air con and safe in the room. We booked a superior double with private pool as we were celebrating a special occasion. On arrival our room was spotless and the view were just breathtaking. The room had a hair dryer and toiletries were replaced once used. You are also given 2 bottles of water each day for the room. An ironing board was also provided upon request.

The food was lovely and there was such a huge selection. Definitely something for everyone and catering to all needs. The
a la carte restaurants were amazing and our favourite was definitely the Umi restaurant. You do have to pay extra for your drinks in the a la carte restaurants.

I suffer with serious allergies and I was put to ease and felt safe. All the food was labelled and communication between the staff was excellent. Certain dishes in the a le carte restaurants were slightly changed to allow me to eat it. I unfortunately couldn't eat anything for dessert in one of the a la carte restaurants so they got a dish from the main restaurant that I was able to eat. The staff were very accommodating.

The all inclusive drinks and cocktails were nice and freshly made. All the bar staff were lovely. Poppy in the Thalassa pool bar always had a smile and made conversation with us.

My partner had paid for a package due to us celebrating a special occasions. Our room was decorated with rose petal on arrival, we had champagne, beautiful flowers and balloons. We had a floating breakfast on our anniversary (amended tl cater to my allergies) and a massage in the spa. My partner would like to thank Maria in Guest Relations for arranging everything.

The hotel is very clean and the pools were lovely. You are provided with pool towels and are able to change them daily at the pool bars.

The entertainment was good, we most enjoyed the pool party!

The location was nice and only a short walk down to the beach where there are a lot of options for water sports, we chose to do paddle boarding and the jet ski (extra charge)

We really didn't want to leave and are already thinking about booking another holiday to come back! Overall, we would highly recommend Sea Side Resort and Spa.

Firstly let me say Sea Side Resort is an amazing place. It is set in a stunning location, stupendous views, great food and amazing staff. Special thanks to Stella in the main buffet restaurant who was the 'stand out' member of staff on our holiday. But a word of caution - the hotel appeared to running at 100% capacity, and we didn't get our sea view room with infinity pool, ending up in a small satellite development a 10 minute walk down the hill leaving us feeling very remote & detached from the main hotel. It was clear during our stay that we weren't the only ones that were shortchanged and we received very little sympathy from the senior hotel staff (IAndreas the general manager & Maria the customer relations manager spring to mind). My suggestion is tread very carefully when booking, & even when you get an email from them promising the room you have booked, be prepared for dissappointment. The all inclusive cocktails/spirits seemed to be very week. You're not allowed to take drinks back to your room (we noticed the staff challenging guests who did this) but they only put a couple of bottles of water in your room fridge which seems a bit stingy when all inclusive. They have three speciality restaurants - Jasmine & Kullinarium are superb, the Minoan Cretan Tavern less so - suggest you book these on your first day at breakfast, as they do get booked up pretty quickly and we saw some guest trying to book who were left disappointed. Aquafitness in the main pool was a daily event at midday and was great fun!!! The entertainent was really good, and we particularly enjoyed the Greek Dancing Night. Not a huge amount to do locally near the hotel, but there is a small beach with an amazing tavern(Stelios Tavern) which is worth a visit to break the monotony of hotel dining every night. There is a local bus service from right outside the hotel which runs to Heraklion which is really worth doing and very cheap & reliable. The hotel has a "no towels on sunbeds" rule which they don't enforce, and we got up early one morning (6am) to photograph the sunset and were shocked to see that a lot of towels were already on sunbeds. There are some lovely cats/kittens around the site, and quite of few of the guests smuggle food out of the buffet restaurant to feed them. Standard of cleaning in rooms was good and the quality of the rooms was high. In summary, staying here is a bit of a lottery, if you get what you have booked it will deliver in spades, but you won't know until you arrive in reception. Maybe it is only a handful of peoples holidays that they spoil, but unfortunately we were one of them. All the staff were amazing apart from Andreas & Maria. We will not be returning which is shame, as we really really wanted to come back, but cannot take the gamble.

Feel like you massively over paid? Let me explain. My wife and I spend 11 nights at sea side resort and spa and unfortunately the experience was average at the best of times. Let's start with the room, we booked the suite maisonette with sea view which would be considered a premium room. First room we had to request a change of room as they had placed us into a room across from the bar and entrainment area which runs the resort entrainment until 12am each night, after some "debate" they agreed to move us(not a train smash but definitely not off to a good start). New room was in a much appreciated quiter area of the resort. They room over cosmetically looked nice and comfortable, but the lack of basics a 5 star room should have was astounding. Had a mini bar fridge with 2 bottles of water, seriously thats it and would be replaced every 3rd day unless you requested it daily. Be mindful they have a policy that you can't take any drinks from the bar to your room (which is absolutely ridiculous and simply the hotel trying to save a buck). No iron or ironing board unless you request (anybody who is travelling needs to iron there clothes coming out of there bag). No ice or ice buckets or any complimentary snacks which any actual 5 star hotel would provide. Onto the facilities, adult pool area is tiny in comparison to the resort and the very few (30 sun lounges) directly around the pool (even with signs on the umbrella's saying you can't reserve) are all fully "RESERVED" by around 6.30am every morning without fail. Your options go from bad to worse and sun lounges are scattered over 3 levels (level 1 - AstroTurf, level 2 - weird area below pool, level 3 - even weirder area below pool). Onto food and drinks, the buffet restaurant food is average and definitely never looked forward to. If you stay for 7 nights our more then you entitled to visit the 3 other restaurants once each. This excludes alcoholic drinks those are charged additional. (€36.00 charge per couple "excluding" drinks if you can't stomach the buffet another night). The wine served is of such poor quality think flavoured vinegar. Resort Spa is massively over priced. Over all the staff are friendly but can also have bad moments. Hotel is an expensive return taxi from any entrainment or sightseeing. I would never stay or recommend this hotel to anybody as after all was said and done we really felt like we had be ripped off and massively over paid. All inclusive that isn't actually all inclusive and 5 star that is 3 star at best.

I recently visited this hotel for 10 days with my family and we had a great time. The food was good, accommodation lovely, resort really nice and staff very friendly.
The dining was a traditional style buffet affair and the à la carte restaurants were excellent, slight downside is that the all inclusive package seems to be irrelevant as you have to pay for your own drinks.
I have been to many hotels all over the world and it’s difficult to single out one for any particular reason, this hotel however absolutely blew me and my family away due to the entertainment organiser Katerina. During the day she would ensure the pool area wash awash with a warm, friendly and fun place to be with her general warmth and genial hosting. Evening time Katerina would host different events with a combination of fun and professionalism I have rarely seen in any hotel across the world.
There were of course many wonderful staff at this hotel but I have to single out Katerina as the best and we will be returning to this hotel primarily due to her. She was liked by young and old alike and I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we’ll see her on stage or screen.

Just returned home from 2 weeks here.
The location of this hotel is beautiful, the views are stunning. There is also a nice little beach to walk to with a couple of tavernas and a bar.
The room was beautiful, clean, spacious, centrally located with a fantastic view (228) . Although the maid only came every 3 days due to COVID if you needed any more water or towels or anything you could just message the manager and it would arrive within minutes.
The food was outstanding, although you could tell they had a more limited selection than normal due to the food having to be served there was always a great selection and I’d say some of the best all inclusive food I’ve ever eaten.
When you arrive make sure you book into the speciality restraunts as they book up quickly

Whilst I wouldn’t want to put people off going to this hotel there are a few things you should know.

The management and in particular Nikos, is quite frankly a cover up artist (I already know I will get a reply telling me I’m not telling the truth, as seen on many of the review here) he isn’t a good manager and hasn’t a clue about customer service, he is very good at covering up situations and deflecting issues and in my opinion as a senior manager in business myself he should be removed from the job and someone else put in his place to benefit the hotel.

I had covid myself in March so am not bothered with some of the measures that people will worry about but what I would like to say is if you want a sunbed 1cm away from the stranger next to you then go to the adult only pool and you’ll get just that, that said, you’ll have to get up at 6am to get one as the pool is too small and there are hardly any beds for the size of the hotel. I don’t normally want to share my relaxation time with a stranger and I certainly don’t in post covid times. They do not have a 1cm rule let alone a 2 metre one.

There is also supposed to be 1 person per 5sqm in the pool this never happens and isn’t monitored.

They are VERY under staffed and despite the hotel being full have around 50% of the staff they need, the staff they do have are brilliant but over worked and it’s unfair on them.

The lady and guy who run the adult pool bar are brilliant as is the entertainment lady (Christina) and a credit to the hotel.

The all inclusive doesn’t include everything you have to pay for certain drinks and any drink in the al a carte restaurants you have to pay for, not what was advertised before we came.

The food is of high standard and cooked very well.

Rooms are nice but not worth the upgrade price.

What made it a very frustrating ending when we checked out was we were waiting for the bus for 1 hours and got there 10 mins before the stated time, after it not coming we rang jet 2 who said it had come and gone, despite us being in reception standing by the front door, we were told the hotel had told the driver we had checked out (and another couple waiting) we then spoke to reception who advised they thought we left and told the driver the same despite us standing there the whole time at the front door!

The main reception lady came and dealt with it and admitted they had got it wrong but this error almost made us miss our flight as we had to get a taxi and only arrived just over an hour before the flight left.

Overall if you have a problem Nikos will say he will listen but in reality he doesn’t, he tells you what he wants to tell you, over talks, doesn’t listen and then offers no solution other that to say he at have seen you smiling by the pool so clearly you were having a good time and your issue is not valid !!! This man needs to go and if you read this Nikos don’t try and tell me everything was good and my review is wrong, it’s fact and you need to go on a customer service course because you are not even 1* quality.

As for star ratings the hotel is 4* not a 5.

I wouldn’t put people off but wouldn’t rush to book either.

We hadn’t booked this hotel originally for our holiday but we were extremely unhappy with our original booking that we decided to treat ourselves to stay at this hotel for the last few days if our holiday and I’m so glad we did! This hotel is absolutely amazing and 100% is as advertised on photographs on jet 2 website and on their own website, the seaside resort and spa made our holiday and we are home now with some amazing photos and memories.

The room was absolutely stunning ( we stayed in a sea view maisonette) which absolutely blew us away with the modern decor and breathtaking views, the food is absolutely delicious and has a huge variety to suit everyone.

The pool areas are spotless and cleaned to a high standard , the sun loungers and cabanas are extremely comfortable and are very luxurious and get the sun all day !

The cocktails are absolutely delicious ( pina colada and Mojitos were our favourite) and The gin and tonics were great too! there was a large drinks selection to suit everyone including non alcoholic cocktails so plenty to choose from.

The views are breathtaking and and the beach was turquoise blue with lots of fish swimming in the water to look at.

It’s a pebble beach I’d recommend to buy the swimming shoes like we did, you can buy them at the beach from
The local shops , they are cheap to buy and a snorkel is a must to see all the fish and crabs ! We even Cuttle fish too

We loved this hotel so much that we are already looking to book again for next sept it now our “ special place “ we feel do lucky to have found this place and to have made the most amazing memories here, it was our 21years together anniversary and the staff kindly gave us some bubbly and treats to our room as a surprise! It made our holiday thanks so much!

We were sad to come home and leave this place , so we will 100% be back next September.

Thanks for making our unpleasant holiday in to the best holiday we’ve ever had! We are so happy we switched to your hotel!!!

After several holiday cancellations, which I am sure many couples and families are experiencing at the moment, me and my partner booked this beautiful hotel.
Only 30 minutes from the airport and located on cliff tops giving the most beautiful views down on to the local beach it was the perfect holiday.

The staff were amazing and everyone treated us both with respect and kindness. Popi, Dimitri, Maria, Stella, Papia's to name a few were very attentive and were always there to serve drinks and with a smile every time. The buffet has a different set up but that is purely as a protective measure for staff and guests. The food is lovely and fresh and served to you from a distance. The additional restaurants are tasty (Especially the Asian) and are perfect to mix up your holiday meals.

The walk to the beach is beautiful and swimming in the clear sea is a lovely experience. If you like to sit on the sunbeds at the beach it's £3.50 per bed for the day or you can lay your towels on the sand.

A special mention for Andreas the hotel manager. We met Andreas to enquire about some trips and a friendship was made. He made us feel like his family. We requested the mattress to be flipped over in our room because it felt slightly uncomfortable and within 30 minutes we had a band new mattress! He always made sure we were happy whenever he saw us right down to the last minute when we thought we had missed our transfer! Andreas also kindly arranged our extension on our last day as quick as a flash. A special Thank you to you Andreas!!

The adult pool is perfect. Right next to the bar and we spent 80% of our time here. So relaxing.
Even though seaside is remote there is plenty to do. Hire a boat. Scrubber diving. Snorkeling. Paddle boarding. Water park. Quadbike safari. A taxi to the local town cost 10 euros which has another beach, bars and restaurants.

Overall this is the perfect place for a lovely relaxing holiday. You won't be disappointed. Do not hesitate to book. We will definitely be back!!!
