terrible single rooms, no windows, 24h bad smell.... Rooms are very very poor and the higenic situation critica the funny is that the name of the hotel is prestige, but it is very , very terrible quality!!!! my photos are telling everything about that hotel! - I guess that's enough: just don't go there!

I have stayed at the Hotel Prestige about 10 times in the past 6-7 years. Unfortunately, the years have not been kind to her. On my last visit I was demoted to a dark and dingy room at the very rear of the hotel. Room 7 for reference! The door had a hole in it where someone had kicked it. The TV was so small and the sound so bad, the only thing I could watch was sport. Fast forward to this last visit. 1 year after my last. I am allocated... yes, you've guessed it... Room 7!!! I enter the darkness... because, trust me, these rooms are very dark. Turning on the light I immediately notice the hole in the door? Now come on. This is a standard panelled, hotel door. Probably costing £5 per door. And in ONE year it can't be repaired? I look at the same small TV and wonder if the sound has been repaired? I will not bore you with the details. So, although the Prestige is not the dearest nor is it the cheapest... it is fast becoming a place that warrents passing by. As a hotelier for some 20 years, I can see no reason for this apathy towards its customers, other than total disregard for their comfort and needs. In general the staff are very helpful and the restaurant offers good meals... but unless you are fit enough to walk the 300-350m to the nearest bus stop, you are relying on the unpredictable pricing of the Burgas taxi driver. As I said... maybe time to consider walking by?

I stayed in the Hotel Prestige in September 2012. I had stayed here 3 times previously, in 2006,2008 and 2010. The hotel is in a fairly quiet road, although in peak times it is used as a 'rat run' to avoid the 'Sea Garden' road traffic. The rooms are very clean and tidy although this visit saw me living in their annex at the rear of the property. i had no problem with this as it is really quiet and relaxing. The restaurant serves breakfast at €3 but it is good value and a nice way to start the day. The evening meal menu is fairly 'local' with many Bulgarian favourites, but also mainstream European choices. They have a very good selection of wines...from very affordable to Oh my God...how much did I spend!!! The Hotel Prestige is a fairly relaxed place with a very small patio outside, which although only faces a car yard and the rather busy road, is still a nice spot to sit and read the paper and drink a coffee or cold beer. The staff are all very young and it gives the hotel a feeling of youthfulness and non-formality...which is a very pleasant change from some of the more formal hotels in the city. The hotel is pretty popular with young couples and families, and the restaurant attracts many locals in the evening. They are always willing to negotiate on room prices for extended stays, but in general a price of 50 BLV aroom per night is the norm. I would recommend the Prestige as a decent, reasonably situated hotel, with bus services only a short walk away and taxis always available through reception. From the Prestige the Sea Gardens are less than a 10 minute walk and the city is only a 5 minute bus ride.
