Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
I can't recommend this hotel. There are a number of good points: helpful staff, attractive building, nice pool, convenient location. But the bad points are pretty strong and mostly have to do with the building itself. It looks nice, but has no noise insulation, so you hear both your neighbors and the busy road outside. I was wakened at 1 am by a truck downshifting on the curvy hill, and although that was the only one that woke me up, i was listening to them the whole time i was in the room. The room itself just isn't finished well. There's an overhead light with a bare bulb, a table lamp with a shade that doesn't fit, and the switch for the bathroom light is not only outside the door, but on the wrong side so you have to walk completely outside the bath to turn on the light you should have got on the way in.
I realize these are not big issues. We finished our 2 night stay. The price is reasonable in an area where there are not many bargains. If this hotel meets your needs, come book. But don't bring high expectations.

The hotel is located along the highway with not many business around so if you are walking your choices are limited as to where to eat unless you opt for a taxi wherever you go. Also, the big trucks going past were loud. The hotel does have a direct path to the Ballena park beach so this is very convenient. The A/C in the rooms is a big plus.

Very helpful and friendly staff and management! Rooms are spacious, have good beds, AC and a proper shower.
Rooms are noisy though. We literally heard our neighbor snoring.
We do recommend this place though!

This is a very rustic hotel. I stayed here with two other adults. It was clean. It smelled a little musty when we checked in but after the air conditioner was on for a while the smell improved.
The pool was nice. Breakfast was included. It was "tipico" good.
The location is convenient to tourist activities and beautiful!
You may want to wear hiking shoes for the walk to the beach. The beach is secluded! You may have to walk through some water to get to the beach.

The hotel was built in a mountain cabin style, however it doesn't receive the adequate maintenance. In the second floor you cannot sleep hearing noises of what seems to be rats. In fact, the bed of the room where our friends tried to sleep, was completely covered by rat feces. The AC didn't work, so my friends couldn't sleep. The only positive aspect was that the administrator refund the money to my friends.

Definitely an economical place to stay... Beautiful grounds and very clean... Problem with hot water (instant on shower head) on Friday night so no hot water.. (Water is cool, but not cold like in the USA). Reported Saturday morning and left for the day.. The staff replaced the shower head and told me that it was "fixed and working", Well, the element in the shower head broke again and they had no other replacement parts or electrician to fix it... So two nights without hot water was a problem as the second day we had spent on the ocean and were covered with salt water.. The pool was tolerable as a partial solution, Staff was very apologetic and we survived...

Remember that you almost can follow the speakings in all the rooms. Or TV devices. Mo lounge places. In low season no restaurant. These people don't understand the hotel buisiness. 50 dollars a night is expensive for this place. The beache is nice, the path to it? They have forgotten to maintain it.
