The hotel deserves its name : dolce vita = pura vida!
The facility is very well maintained, the garden is filled with flowers and birds, the hosts are super helpful and communicative, the rooms are spacious and spotless. Breakfast is included and a fruit lovers heaven. We preordered Italian dinner for one night: they offer home-made pasta and lasagne which are worth every Colon 😉 even Italian wine is being served 🍷. Choose Pannacotta for desert. But you better don’t be afraid of dogs ...

The owners (Italian) were very welcoming and gave very good advice for excursions in the surrounding area.
The room was simple but very clean and pleasant. The little garden in front of the room was very pleasant.
In the garden, lots of birds to observe in the morning at sunrise. There is also a swimming pool and hammocks for relaxing.
The restaurant run by the owners is delicious; the dishes are homemade and you can order fish or other dishes the day before. Too bad they don't do breakfasts, the Tico restaurant next door is really not very good (industrial dishes and very average service).
We had a great time.

Perfect stay for our Family of 5.
Great central location, felt safe inside the property, beautiful grounds, humble/modest rooms (bonus to have AC & in room fridge), loved having access to a nearby outdoor kitchen, walking distance to park entrance...
Silvia, the owner was exceptionally kind, patient and accommodating to our family.
Ferdinand, the owner is an incredible chef. Breakfast was fantastic (best pinto I’ve had in Costa Rica) and his traditional Italian dinners smell like heaven.
If you don’t stay here, I’d recommend making a reservation to eat here. You won’t be disappointed.
We stayed here for 5 nights and we are so grateful for the hospitality and overall kindness that was extended to our family.

Dolce Uvita was the perfect spot for us. Silvia was a great communicator and was so helpful making arrangements ahead of time and giving us suggestions for things to do locally during our 4 night stay.
The setup of Dolce Uvita made things easy too. There is a Tico restaurant onsite, open 3 meals a day if you choose to go there. We especially loved the fresh fruit smoothies for breakfast. The grounds have several different seating areas among the beautiful gardens and the shared outdoor kitchen made simple food prep very doable. The place is very clean and having AC available made sleeping comfortable.
A highlight for us was their Italian restaurant, where Fernando does the cooking and makes everything from scratch. You need to make reservations the day before and let him know what you want to eat because it will be made special for you. The ravioli and lemon fish were just perfect! They also prepared a charcuterie plate for us one night, we bought a very nice bottle of Italian wine from their selection and ate by ourselves at one of the outdoor tables, making for a delightful evening.
Silvia and Fernando have a beautiful little place and you could not ask for kinder hosts. Staying with them was a most memorable ending for our 3 weeks in Costa Rica and we thank them for that!

We stayed 4 nights and would have stayed longer if we could have rearranged our holiday plans. Dolce Uvita was very clean and comfortable. We had a large room, powerful shower and I must say a decent sized bar of soap which makes a pleasant change. The garden was lovely with nice pool. We were given a warm welcome and made to feel at home throughout our stay. There is an outside kitchen if you want to prepare food/ snacks. We are at the restaurant on site which was delicious.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days in December and had an amazing time! Silva was very attentive from the moment we checked in and explained everything we needed to know in the area. She was available to answer any questions through whatsapp as well. Great location and walking distance to many restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious. The pool is nice and there is a small outdoor kitchen that you have access to if needed. Silva was helpful in trying to help is scheduling our covid test to return home. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant on site but we heard their food is amazing! We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Uvita!

Sweet place made great by the owners who answer endless questions and take care of arrangements for whatever you might need. Rooms nice and clean, lovely views especially on second floor. Good food, ping pong and foosball at the adjacent Tico restaurant. We only regret not trying the delicious looking Italian cooked by the owners.

The room was as shown. Comfortable and pleasantly decorated.
The restaurant was closed and I was not informed of this prior to arrival. There was no Italian food store as mentioned in the description. (The wife was in Italy for surgery which I can sympathize with. I was not told how much this would affect the overall stay and would not have stayed here had I known)
It was very noisy with drumming early in the mornings and a lot of street noise.

We can't say enough about the owner of the hotel. She was so very welcoming and went out of her way to assist us with arranging transportation and daytrips. The garden is stunning, with hummingbirds everywhere. The garden smelled like perfume from all the flowers. She is Italian and a wonderful cook! The Bruchetta is so good@

The place is very cozy and the room, gardens and pool are very nice. Silva and her husband are very attentive and kind. She helped me pick some of the tours and helped book the driver to and from. Their breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner. A wonderful stay and experience and recommend it.
