We spent the long weekend of August in this typical hotel of the Riviera del Brenta and we loved it!
Friendly and professional staff.
The rooms are very clean and tidy.
The bus stop leading to Venice is in front of the hotel!
And still very conveniently located for any destination!
The only Recommendation I would give, to improve the Italian breakfast service, would be to add some local products and pastry cakes, not packaged snacks.
We will definitely be back!

This supposedly 4 star hotel must have lost one and a half of them somewhere (however, admittedly, the price is not that of a 4 star). Small room on the ground floor with a 80s decor, rather small and essential bathroom. Very basic breakfast.

Lovely hotel with good sized rooms (by European standards). Rooms are very clean and bathrooms are large. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Not a lot of choice for group breakfasts but supper was very good. Washer and dryer were broken when we were here.

Very nice location and beautiful area. Friendly and helpful staff especially the owner. What was disapointing is that self service laundry is advertised on their site. We thus planned to use this hotel for that, however it was not available. For self service laundry you had to walk 1.7km for a specific place, which the rececpionist could not really provide proper directions for. The lighting in the rooms aren't great. Breakfast had very limited options.

Dirty , old and smelly. Disgusting and awful. Forced to stay another day if I live through the mold problems. Others in my group have same. Room has tablecloths for towels! Can't wait to escape this stink hole. The carpet is probably the host of the mouldy smell?

Hotel website (---)

We stay at the IL Burchielloas as part of the Globus tour package in September 2005. The hotel wasn't as nice as its website. There are 3 of us in a room and
we stayed in a double room. The hotel was right off the main road in Oriago (near Venice), a 30 minutes walk into the center of town. The hotel facility is modern with Venetian decoration. The hall way was wide with sitting areas and a smoking room. Our double room was very small for 3 people. There were 2 twin beds and 1 roll away bed. The ceiling was high so we didn't feel as cramp in. There was a window but couldn't be open. However the bathroom was big for European hotel with full size tub and large sink, plenty of vanity space. The bathtub was high and slippery, a bit hard to get in and out, and got to be very careful. The towels were paper thin, unusual texture, but they were very large and did their job as towels. The dinning room was modernly decorated and nice and comfortable. Our breakfast and dinner were included in the tour. The full breakfast was good. It had the usual cereal and cold cuts, breads, eggs. Dinner was also good. The
hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful, no problem with English.

Location, location. This hotel is 30 minutes walk from the town center and 30 minutes drive away from Venice. We went into Venice following the tour group.
It would be inconvenient for individual travelers to stay at this hotel and want to visit Venice. The hotel is used by several tour groups. This doesn't
mean it's a bad hotel and we hardly saw other tour people in the hotel unless it was breakfast or dinner time. The hotel itself is a first class hotel but the
location is too far from the city center for tourists.

Stayed here on Trafalgar tour. Hotel is clean and nice but just too far from Venice which spoiled the tour. Had only 5 hours of free time in Venice and was then transported to this hotel. There is NOTHING to do at this hotel. Food was OK. Breakfast was the best of all the hotels on the Trafalgar tour. Towels are waffle linen ones - not the traditional US fluffy towels.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here while on a Trafalgar bus tour.

The location is about 1/2 an hour to the water taxis depot that takes you to the island of Venice.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We had clean sheets, good hot water from the shower and they had a laundry.

We were on the first floor and as you made your way up their grand staircase, the hotel was decorated with roman statues and furniture. This provided a good atmosphere and made us feel like we were in Italy.

We were provided one dinner at the hotel which naturally had pasta included. It was enjoyable enough. We also had breakfast that again was pastries, yoghurts, cereals and cold meats.

There is a small group of shops about 5 minutes walk that includes a general grocery shop.

The hotel did have 2 computers available for guest use, but while we were there, the connection to the internet wasn't available. The hotel said someone would come along to fix it either today or tomorrow.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here as the room and meals met our requirements.

We would recommend this hotel to people who don't mind not being in the heart of Venice.

We stayed at this hotel on our Globus Tour (Scenic Delights) for 2 nights as our "Venice" hotel.
This hotel is not in Venice; in fact, it was about a 20 minute bus ride to the parking lot at the edge of Venice.

Our hotel room and bathroom were both very spacious. You have to put your room key in a slot on the wall to turn the lights on. There was a bidet in the bathroom.
There was one small elevator. My advice is to take the stairs and not wait for the elevator.

The hotel serves food in the basement of the hotel. (I am not sure if this was just for tour groups or for anyone.) We had dinner in the basement our second night at the hotel. Even though it is in the basement, the waiters were very dressed up and very polite. We had 5 courses. It was some of the best food I have ever eaten! We also ate breakfast each morning in there. It was a small buffet.

This has to be one of my favorite places, and to think that I almost missed it because of the negative reviews. I on the other hand, loved staying here! The rooms reminded me of when I visited family, very cozy! There is a laundromat in every floor, so I got to do laundry on the four days I stayed here. The staff were all so nice, they all were very helpful and amicable. The food was great and a lot! My experience was very positive and I will sure consider going back to this hotel.
I hope they get to read this review, because I didn't get a chance to thank everyone in this hotel who made my stay experience an exceptional one.
Thank you!

Yes, all the rooms have private air conditioners. Adjust to your needs but make sure when you come back from an outing you check it again they might have decreased the temperature but not every hotel does this.

How can you travel back to the hotel from central Venice in the evenings
Answer from Shenad18

Diane, how exciting! Okay, how long is a piece of string? It all depends on whether you and your group enjoy walking and taking public transport as the hotel is inland and approximately 9km from the Venice metropolitan which requires taking boats across to reach it. The hotel is quaint and run by a lovely gentleman who greets you warmly an remembers your room the moment you walk in the next time. So please, have a look at the map on TripAdvisor and see where you wish to move around. That would help you make a better decision. I was on a booked tour, but had free time the second day and went off with a few of my tour friends. We walked.
