Just arrived back from an idyllic 2 week holiday at this really authentic Greek hotel.

Hotel Communal Rooms:
The attention to detail is first class, the little refinements dotted around really make the difference i.e. general mood lighting, arbor in the garden, unique Greek ornaments and features (just as shown on the website). All seating in public spaces and reception is socially distanced in line with current procedure, first class!

Pool Area:
Spacious area, Covid secure distancing in place which made us feel comfortable. Parasols and sun beds looked to be new. Pool bar with great food and freshly made. Some days we had our own ‘private pool’ due to the current hotel occupancy due to Covid, we didn’t complain, perfect 😀 We also felt comfortable under the watchful eye of Maria, great work pet!!

Room:
We had 105, poolside view, low floor and far enough away from the pool bar area to be comfortable. Spotlessly clean, spacious, recently refurbished shower room. The best we’ve stayed in Greece in this type of hotel.

Staff:
What can we say, ALL staff from arrival at reception, hotel bar, breakfast, pool bar, cleaning staff were all friendly, happy, courteous and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. Just what a holidaymaker wants and needs.

Breakfast:
All freshly prepared each morning by Maria, a great asset to this hotel.

If you’re considering a holiday in Rhodes and Ixia in particular, you could not do better than the Hotel Nathalie. The location is on the edge of the town looking over trees and hills at the rear making sunbathing quiet and airy but near enough to get into the main restaurant and bar action. Even in these restricted and quiet times the nightlife was good but still safe.
We didn’t think we would get away this year, however, we were lucky to have chosen this hotel. From what we have seen over the past 2 weeks, the safety of the guests and staff is paramount to this hotel. Keep up the good work, see you all again in better times.

We had booked to go to Crete, but due to restrictions, that was out of bounds and as such we came across this hotel.

Location wise, for peace and quiet and views from the back, brilliant.

There was attention to distancing in communal areas, screened reception and anti-bac gel dispensers. Breakfast was cooked and served by Maria and another lady and queues could build up as they served you onto trays rather than the less COVID aware, help yourself. This meant that whilst she was serving someone’s hot food, you could be waiting with yours going cold as you waited for her to move down the line to serve juice and fruit/ yogurt. Not a bit issue, but not ideal.

After breakfasts, Maria moved to the pool bar, where she cooked and served all day. Food and service here was really good.

The area around the pool when we went was busy but not noisy and most people stayed on the same sunbeds every day. The beds nearest the shower stayed in the sun most of the day.

Our 3rd floor room was cleaned daily and was pretty standard Greek with a low sill shower with curtain.

Although we had a balcony overlooking the pool, this was very narrow and the wall relatively high so it felt closed in. Lower floors had metal railings so would not have been quite so closed in.

There were no safes in the rooms and these could be hired and were in reception. Air-con was extra and we needed it when we were there.

Bar area was spacious and there was a terrace garden at the side.

It’s just a pity that this hotel is located in the resort it is. In a more pleasant resort, I bet you couldn’t book it because it would be full all the time. If you want a quality, clean, well run hotel and are prepared to go out of the resort (Rhodes €10 taxi) for a bigger selection of places to eat, drink and shop, then this is a no brained. Loved it.

This is our second visit and stay at the Hotel Natalie the previous visit was October 2017. Firstly nothing has changed since then!! The hotel reception and lobby area is very nice and makes you feel embedded in the whole Greek Island love affair, the staff are amazing, nothing too much trouble for them, the reception is staffed 24/7. The hotel is clean and very well presented with a small bar area with a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy the evening drinks. The pool area is clean and tidy and the pool snack bar offers a variety of snacks throughout the day between 10:30 and 16:00 with a choice of drinks from two well stocked fridges.
Now our visit is in October and the pool was freezing cold, putting some people off going for a dip. The other issue is due to the size of the seating areas around the pool quiet often large areas end up being in the shade so you often see people sun-bed surfing from one location to another to ensure continuation of sun bathing throughout the day. Although the sun does hit areas from 9am to 5pm but you do have to move 3 times to enjoy a full day in the sun 😄😄
A couple of negatives, firstly the transfer buses cannot get up the small street leading to the hotel meaning you do get dropped off on the main highway with your cases at all different times of day, which for elderly customers may find it difficult to walk with their suitcases. Secondly on your return home journey you get collected on the main carriageway which I describe as the M1 of the Island of Rhodes, getting across is difficult at the best of times, so imagine with your case?
The air on in your room is switched off at the end of September?
The rooms are basic but clean but do not have very good Wi-Fi nor do they have a TV. Our balcony was small only suitable for a small table and two folding chairs but no space to sunbath.
Breakfast is a help yourself process with lots to choose from only issue is that the “hot” food soon gets cold due to the fact they do not put covers over them to keep warm.
The area Ixia is quite run down in places but has sufficient bars and restaurants to keep your choices open for a week.
Overall would I recommend the hotel, YES for a cheeky week visit, just don’t expect the Ritz but you will get a very friendly warm welcome

The staff make Nathalie !!!
The room we stayed in is basic but spotlessly clean, air con is €6 per night in October which is clearly stated in the booking information.
The reception staff are so helpful and friendly and can’t do enough even arranging an emergency dental appointment for me on my previous stay
The choices at the buffet breakfast are varied and once finished, Maria then opens up the pool side bar cooking up some amazing dishes. Kevin is in charge of the bar with a great atmosphere and an amazing choice of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic.
Hotel Nathalie is in a residential area with a slow 5 minute walk to the main road in Ixia where you’ll find restaurants bars and a direct bus route into Rhodes town. The bus runs every 20 mins or so and is a mere 15 minutes each way
I’ve already booked a further 2 holidays to Nathalie in 2024 and can’t wait to go back !!!

Absolutely loved this cute authentic family run hotel. My friend and I stayed for 11 nights. On the day we arrived it was my friends birthday. I emailed the hotel prior, asking if they could potentially put some balloons in the room as a surprise. I got a lovely response saying they can sort something for me, and they definitely did with a whole happy birthday balloon set and lovely message. The staff can not do enough for you and are very friendly and welcoming.

The room is a little basic, could do with a freshen up, mainly in the bathroom although the shower was great and powerful!. But other than that we found it perfect for our needs. Very handy having a fridge to stock up on water and snacks. The aircon was definitely needed!! We arrived end of July and it got hotter everyday!

The breakfast is everything you would wish for, hot and cold options, plenty to choose from and served 7-10am so great if you want to sleep in abit. The pool area was great, you're not allowed to reserve beds which is a bonus and it was very rarely crowded. You can always get a decent bed at any time throughout the day. The rest of the hotel is beautifully decorated and very calming throughout. The terrace area is definitely a highlight whether you're eating breakfast or having a drink at night, it's stunning.

Location is great, few minutes walk to the main strip of restaurants, sports bars and shops. Not masses of nightlife but we didn't come for that. 5 minute walk to the beach which is also great to watch the sunset on! Some restaurants that were our faves were EL Greco, Amalfi Coast and Hippocampus.
We found a lovely beach bar with pool right on the beachfront called Velon, all you have to do is spend 10€ at the bar/for food and you can have a set of sunbeds, full use of the pool and toilets all day which we found very useful as the beach is all pebbled.
You can get any bus on the main strip opposite Avra Beach Hotel (5 min walk) to take you into Rhodes Town max 3€ each.

Overall we loved this place and hope to return again very soon!

A friend recommended this traditional greek hotel and it didn’t disappoint. All the staff and fellow guests were very friendly and the atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxed. The decor is charming and the courtyard really beautiful. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the breakfast room never felt crowded. We only used the pool on a couple of occasions and there were always sun beds available whatever time we arrived. We ate at the pool once and thought the quality and value of the food was very good. There was a lovely atmosphere in the bar in the evening so we called in for after dinner drinks each night (thanks to Kevin for making us tea). My room was in the first floor and on occasion, I could hear late night (early morning) noise from the bar so if like me, you’re a light sleeper, you may wish to take earplugs!
Lots of people return to this hotel each year and I may just become one of them.

My hubby and I stayed at the Nathalie in the first week of October. We wanted a small cosy hotel away from the madding crowd. We weren't disappointed! The staff were amazing especially the young lady with the long black curly hair! She gave us so many tips on where to eat etc. Breakfast was great, not 5 star, but fresh and plentiful! Bar was fab too, and the barman makes a mean pizza and Greek salad and Tequilla cocktail even at stupid o'clock!
It's a short easy bus ride to Rhodes Town, if you needed some Nightlife. There is a lovely pebble beach through a shopping centre on the main road. Crystal clear water and you can lie on the sun loungers all day and use the pool if you spend 6 Euros. The food there was great for a midday snack. Several restaurants around in easy walking distance from the hotel. Nathalie Hotel ticked all our boxes, wished we had booked for 10 days not 7!!

The Nathalie is an oasis of calm in a quiet street in Ixia. Yannis and his team are always friendly, welcoming & helpful and we love the traditional Greek feel with some pretty decorative touches.

We enjoyed the private pool area and watching all the different birds and butterflies while relaxing with a book (book swap in the hotel). There were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and also drinks, lunch and snacks available prepared by Maria. Our room had A/C, a large comfortable double bed, fridge, kettle, TV, plenty of storage and a wet room with two shower heads. Breakfast offered a great choice of continental and hot selection. We usually ate in the vine covered courtyard (which is also used for pre dinner drinks).

It only took 15/20 mins by bus to Rhodes Town. The stop on the main road was approx 7 mins walk away as was a large Nanou supermarket. There were several good restaurants within 10/15 mins walk and a quiet pebbly beach approx 200m from the hotel.

This was our ninth visit and we'll definitely be returning next year.

Nathalie hotel was everything we wanted from our holiday and more. The staff are all extremely welcoming and attentive, nothing is too much hard work. The hotels cleanliness is second to none and the location was ideal for the type of relaxed holiday we were after. Maria on the pool bar is very friendly and no request is too big or small. The food served at the pool is very fresh, we ate lunch here every day. The breakfast done the job, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and hot options. On arrival you get dropped at the bottom of the street, you have to walk to the top of the residential street and turn right and Nathalie is located just in front of you on your left. There are two local areas for dining. If you head to the bottom of the street and right around a 15 minute walk there is a strip of restaurants and bars, we didn’t have a bad meal ate in Napoli, Sirtaki, Greek Taverna and El Greko and all where excellent. We also went to the bottom of the street and left and if you follow the road along to the next town there are more restaurants and bars. We went to the cake box for a morning coffee- modern little bakery with cakes and coffee. We had dinner at maestro on the beach which was also lovely. The bus into Rhodes town is extremely easy and safe. The bus stop is located just at the bottom of the street and the buses are every 20 mins. All in the perfect relaxing break couldn’t fault it.

A great value small, boutique hotel with the friendliest staff who make you feel like you've known them for years. This hotel is more suited to mature couples rather than families.

Communal areas of hotel are well decorated in authentic modern Greek style. The outdoor courtyard is a beautiful setting to enjoy and evening drink with candlelit lanterns. Excellent buffet breakfast with good choice of hot and cold food.

Pool is a good size with excellent food served at the pool bar. The homemade chips are particularly delicious! Whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Google maps make hotel look like it is in the middle of nowhere but there are some small gift shops, a few restaurants, some travel agencies for booking excursions, a pharmacy, beauty salon, car hire depot and a large Spar supermarket just 5 mins walk away. The hotel is tucked away from main road, so is quiet and peaceful. Only 5 min walk to bus stop with regular buses to Rhodes town, only costing 3 Euros each way.

Bedrooms are basic but beds are comfortable with lovely feather pillows, although more than just a sheet is really needed for Oct. Air conditioning is chargeable from Oct but wasn't needed, as evenings were cool and rooms kept cool during the day if curtains left closed when you are out. Fridge was really handy to store water and milk for making tea/coffee with the room kettle. Plenty of hangers in wardrobe, although limited drawer space. Hairdryer handily located by mirror in bedroom. The only thing stopping me giving this hotel a 5 star rating is the bathroom. Bathroom is very small and door kept bashing into sink and would only half open. Shower needs updating as very old style and either shower flex or shower curtain keeps touching you when showering. Sometimes water was not very hot first thing in the morning.

Overall, this is a really lovely hotel, excellent value for money and I would definitely stay there again.
