The property is fantastic, luxurious, service is top notch. Food is excellent. I had a great stay. I usually dont write reviews. i am marriott, hilton and taj member who travels frequently. been to 14 countries. I thought of writing review here because one friend of mine said that desert snakes are poisonous. The point is due to sandstorm on 26 april a oryx came till my infinity pool i was inside so i was amazed and all as i had glass to protect me. Point to think is if i would have been in infinity pool and due to mini sandstorm had oryx been there & attacked then? it can attack humans! anyways, next day there was a snake that entered my room! i being solo traveller spotted it & field staff came and took it. they said its non poisonous creeper snake n all but then hey a snake is snake is a snake it will scare you at the moment. I took it sportingly and chilled. next day i saw a lizard walking besides while i was in pool. My friend told me to write review here so that hotel will take maybe more precautions. honestly its a conservarion reserve and they say its nature they are correct but then i want other guests to be prepared! its not safe to walk at night due to snakes, scorpion etc so buggy is reccomended for dinner n all. i didnt knew that snakes can climb lol the snake was fast and went from the door till the bag keeping space fast! it started climbing the bag keeping wooden thing i forgot what is called Lol see they took the snake away n all but yes one should know what to expect. this isnt ritz carlton in a city etc so yes definetely one should be prepared and i dont know i think i just enjoyed as i wasnt aware and believed snake wasnt poisonous & it was my bday so i was in my own mood lol Trust me i kept door closed all the times. either i was out or inside but door was closed they said a inch is enough for it to enter and because inside it is 18 degree in ac and outside 38 degree

Over the past forty years, traveling for both business and pleasure, I have noticed a trend within the hospitality industry which is extremely disappointing to me. While the resorts have become grander, the staffs have become increasingly more scripted, robotic and regimented. I don’t blame the staffs themselves; they are simply following the directions from the corporate office. Enter the Al Maha, I couldn’t have imagined a better way to celebrate my 60th birthday than staying at this small but, ultra-luxurious, spectacular, literally an amazing desert oasis of a resort. Second only its staff, their hospitality was comforting and soothing. Allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Final praise is reserved for Lorraine. Who greeted us with genuine, heartfelt, warmth and personal attentiveness and it didn’t wane. Lorraine, continued to personally follow up with us to see if she could be of service. She was simply amazing! In closing, I must say, our stay at Al Maha wasn’t a bucket list item, to us, it filled the entire bucket. Thank you! Sincerely, Peter Thompson NY NY

An amazing stay at a truly memorable place. The resort, facilities, staff were excellent. My wife and I had a fantastic stay amidst such wonderful nature and surroundings. The staff were simply the best. The food superb. A special call-out to Ariel at the front desk, Yasuda & Catherine at the restaurant, Haneefa & Yaub at housekeeping and Mr. Srini heading the F&B team. They made our stay truly memorable and one of a kind. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Al Maha.

Stunning landscapes, friendly staff, a once in a lifetime experience.. we loved the camel ride and sundowners on the dunes, the falconry show at dawn and the nature drive to view the rolling dunes, gazelles and Arabian onyx. Dinners overlooking the desert were a real treat and the food served at the resort was really excellent. One thing I would say is that the resort is showing its age and a little investment to bring it up to the ultra luxe standards of other Dubai hotels is needed given the price point.

Everything about this property is excellent. Secluded desert, too far from the city attraction. A perfect getaway for those who would like to experience laid back luxury. Staff is attentive, polite. Good food with lavish Breakfast buffet. Highly recommended for who who want to experience luxury at its very best
