Detailed Reviews
A fabulous week away at Chateau du Bourbet with our family (2 adults and 3 kids) and friends (2 adults and 2 kids). Very reasonably priced for the experience we had, with plenty of space, lovely bedrooms, all the amenities you could want, and a very relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable host in Albert. As this is August 2020 I should mention that all COVID19 precautions were in place. The Chateau had been deep cleaned and masks and hand sanitiser were provided. We felt very safe. Thoroughly recommend the 'dining in' experience with local chef Saro one night. River beach at Aubeterre (and Aubeterre itself) was wonderful. Brantomme was very beautiful and a great day-trip. I feel we only scratched the surface of what was on offer during our week and we were very sad to leave. Thanks so much for having us Albert!

Thank you Albert and Abi for your warm welcome and yet another fantastic meal Abi! I really enjoyed the original menu and it was served in a cosy environment. I stayed in Bordeaux room which was tastefully furnished and comfortable, beautifully clean and with fantastic views to the front of the chateau. If anyone is thinking of a romantic getaway this is a prefect choice!

What a beautiful place first of all dripping in history. The food is outstAnding especially the date cake with coconut topping. Abi and Albert were very welcoming and made our stay all the more special. Although I was here in January I can only imagine how stunning it would look in spring and the height of summer. I would unreservedly recommend this as a place to make your holiday in France one to remember . Fox

Wow what a location, Beautiful Châteaux with sheep wondering on the lawn!
One of the friendliest welcomes we have ever had. Very unique menu choices which were delicious too! Its so nice not to get the same old menu options and Abi is a perfect host. We will return very soon. Many thanks Abi.

We have had a wonderful stay at the Chateau du Bourbet this week, the feeling you get when you walk through the door is relaxed and friendly, not at all how you'd imagine a stay in a Chateau to be. Our room, the Bordeaux room, was very comfortable and the views from the window just perfect. Can't wait to return again next year!

We had a wonderful time at the chateau - a family group of 9 visiting the area for a party being held nearby - we took up all the rooms! The chateau is very spacious and highly individual - all the rooms beautifully clean and full of character . The grounds are extensive - peaceful and utterly relaxing with a delightful swimming pool. We enjoyed delicious outdoor breakfasts, and spent an idyllic few days in glorious sunshine. Everything was provided, along with freedom to take things at our own pace. We didn't want to leave.Thank you Abigail and Albert - we couldn't believe our luck!

We arrived at Le château on a rainy day, but the warm welcome and the beauty of the place made us forget about the sad weather !
All our expectations were met ! . The comfort of the room made us feel at home away from home. The food was delicious, and Abigail was making sure we had everything we needed.
We have just one regret.... We didn't stay long enough !
This place would be ideal to discover this beautiful area and relax for a few more days.

A refreshing change to have spent an un-pressurised few days in casual yet professional surroundings. Spacious en-suite bedrooms overlooking the park complimented by Abi's fantastic cooking! Would certainly stay again when in the area.
