Kamahi Cottage is a real find - tucked away approx 12km from town with the most spectacular views and faultless hospitality it was a real eye opener for a fresh look at B&B. Blew away all my expectations!!! The hosts were aware of our very tight scedule and went out of their way to assist our stay at the cottage....

Finding quality accommodation in rural areas of New Zealand can be difficult. What a discovery then is Kamahi cottage nestled in the beautiful King Country just north of Waitomo. We have been fortunate to have stayed at Kamahi cottage twice in the past 12 months and enjoyed not only the luxury accommodation on offer, but experienced some of the most...

Our family of four (two parents and two kids, aged 6 and 2) arrived at Kamahi Cottage after dark, after skipping lunch, and after more than seven hours of driving New Zealand's unfamiliar roads and roundabouts. The cottage was beautiful and it was perfectly located for a peaceful getaway. Our hosts made us feel so welcome, and the food and freindship offered by the Cowan's was unforgettable. We tell all our friends and...

My husband and I have been lucky to travel all over the world. Kamahi Cottage is like no other place we've been -- for comfort, relaxation, peace and quiet -- a true getaway in a spectacular setting. Hosted by Liz and Evan Cowan, the cottage sits on sprawling farmland just two hours south of Auckland -- in the hills of...

If you're planning on staying near the waitomo caves then this is a must. A self contained cottage with all imaginable comforts, the most comfortable bed we encountered in NZ and a breakfast we rated as "best of the tour". I enjoyed sitting in the hammock chairs on the verandah looking out at the spectauclar views sipping a glass of...
