Great service from a welcoming team. Accommodation was very clean and tidy. Wifi was a little patchy at times, but the overall experience was fantastic and we as a family had a very relaxed and comfortable long weekend. Will recommend to everyone, close to the Waitomo caves and great places to go for a walk with family and kids
Staff, campsite, amenities are all top notch. Situated in a awesome little village with everything needed to make your stay a smiley occasion. I don't very often give top ratings as I believe there is always room for improvement however, this park deserves the 5's given.
Took the family of 15 mixed ages to stay for long weekend, totally delightful place to stay, close to great walking tracks and amazing restaurant, a totally fabulous stay, enjoyed by all. We would certainly return for future stays. The camp was well run, clean and had all facilities we required. Staff were great at placing us close together with campervan site just outside units.
Great holiday here. Good facilities and lots of space for the kids to play and go swimming, especially with the hot tub in winter. Spacious and warm rooms with good kitchen amenities. Close to the waitomo caves tours.
Great location in the centre of Waitomo. Excellent recommendation for dinner which was the Tomo pub… best ribs I’ve ever had! Better organisation for larger campers. They placed me initially near the dump station and I was just an obstruction. Very receptive to moving me to another site which was much more out of the way. The most powerful showers I’ve experienced in my lifetime.
The pool, facilities and customer service was premium. Really tidy park and close to cool restaurants. Nice camping site (although my daughter and I got to hear about some bikers Tinder exploits late at night … hilarious). Unfortunately all of our food/cooking gear was stolen from the fridge over night. This made the stay quite expensive but much of the fault lies with me and was a wake up call to secure stuff. Really sorry this has happened in your park as it seemed out of the ordinary. Just a reminder times might have changed. Waitomo Village is a great place to stay. Thanks.
Great facilities in a beautiful place. The service was super friendly and very good. As it was Easter they dropped around Easter Eggs for everyone including a large one for my child. They checked in every day to see how we were in a very non invasive way. We stayed in a ensuite cabin which was great. Pool and spa were great even though it was chilly in the pool but it’s autumn - what did we expect. Just my the spa even better. Good childrens playground. Opposite to shops and eateries, great central location. We will be back! Highly recommend!
As a solo section hiker on the Te Araroa Trail, the Waitomo TOP 10 Holiday Park was a perfect stopover. Although the Park was fully booked, the hosts found me a spot to pitch up. I arrived soon after lunch which meant I had time to have a shower, do laundry, offload data, check in with whānau, sort some stuff out and just sit and enjoy the stay. The hosts are warm and welcoming and because it was Good Friday, arrivals were also greeted with Easter chocolates. They were well informed on what was available locally on this public holiday but also on the Te Araroa Trail itself.
Fantastic location and great amenities including the pool and spa. Prefect for us as a group of four families holidaying together and staying in the cabins. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend!
Great accommodation with either non powered, powered sites, cabins and motel units to choose from. We stayed in a 1 bedroom motel and it was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Carpark right outside the room. Seasonal pool and spa available too. Located right in Waitomo, great location. Opposite is shops, bar etc. Great location to activities in Waitomo as well, close proximity.
