We arrived after a long day on the road. Met by a lovely lady who showed us all we needed to know. The outlook is stunning, rooms all opened for us to stickybeak in found them to be stunningly appointed, a shared bathroom might make the stay a little awkward. Will see how we go. The owner and his black Labrador made themselves known. I’m sure we will really enjoy this stay

We stayed here one night before visiting the caves. Trevor was a great host and explained the property to us. He allowed us to use his kitchen to heat up our dinner that night. The setting is spectacular…..the property has amazing views over the land. There is a hot tub that was in front of our room (#5) which was clean and we used it. The only drawbacks are that the room was dated (but clean)…we appreciated the frig in the room and the breakfast could be better (he serves instant coffee 🤮)…some cut up fruit would be nice given he owns a fruit stand. Overall a nice place to stay.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay at Waitomo Orchard B&B.
The B&B is in a beautiful country setting with lots of cute animals like sheep, cows and horses nearby. I loved all of the flowers around the property, which all smelled amazing this time of year. Outdoor table and seating areas had beautiful views, the room was clean upon arrival, and each of our interactions with the host and staff were pleasant and professional. Bonus points for the adorable dog Jack and friendly cat on the property. Our 18 month old son also had a blast running around the place.
We do wish there had been more opportunity to spend a little time getting to know the host. In many of our previous B&B stays around the world, we have always enjoyed the opportunity to sit and talk at breakfast and sometimes meet the other guests. Breakfast was continental style (as advertised) and checked all the boxes, but some additional coffee and tea options would have been great along with perhaps an egg addition would have been great. The style felt almost more hostel -like and self sufficient in that regard - which was fine. We were largely just there to rest in between adventures but missed that intimacy offered by some other B&B's. Parking one evening was also difficult because a guest had parked right in the middle of the driveway blocking several approved parking spaces and another morning a car had blocked a few people in. There is sufficient parking on the property so we aren't sure why another guest parked where they did...
But, overall, we would recommend Waitomo Orchard B&B to our friends and would stay again. Thanks Trevor! We had a great time.

We came to Waitomo to visit the glow worm caves during a road trip of the north island. Waitomo orchard estate B and B was an excellent find.
The rooms were very comfortable, the views amazing and our host Trev was very friendly.
We took three rooms so having to share toilet/shower facilities were not an issue. Also the toilet is separated from the shower and hand basin so made easy if we were sharing with others.
Breakfast was left for us and had plenty of choice.
We really enjoyed our time there and could have stayed longer!

We passed the entrance from the highway a couple of times. It's easy to do if you don't have GPS. However, once we found the Waitomo Orchard B&B we were very pleased. An evening meal is miles away, but once you settle in for the evening, the solitude of the B&B is appreciated after a day of sightseeing. Our room was large, exceeding clean, well appointed, and with a large en-suite bathroom. The B&B sits on a ridge and the views from our private patio were outstanding. The continental breakfast the following morning was tasty and generous. I would recommend the Waitomo Orchard B&B to a friend.

The setting for this place is fabulous. The owner seems to have taken great care over the setup, and we had no problem finding the place nor our room.
The room (6) was tucked away from the rest of the house, almost like a garden room with an ensuite with 2 d/ beds.
Looked idyllic, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of pee in the room. I'm not sure if it was animal pee or not, so it may be a resident (I saw that there were dogs in some rooms).
This smell was off-putting, and we were grateful to depend only one night here.
Breakfast this morning was OK. Everything was ready early and in plentiful supply.
This would be a wonderful place to stay, but for the smell in room 6, for which I have knocked off a star.

We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. The host is a very kind person and he goes to the extra mile for his guests, also the pets are so lovely - a little highlight. We ve never experienced a more beautiful and peaceful surrounding on our trip.

Good room, clean, spacious, private.

It has great views, facilities and host, topped off with very extensive breakfast with many options.

Will use again as good location when traveling down thru the country.

The B&B had a beautiful setting. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
There were no hosts on arrival so slight confusion about which parts of the house were available to us, and we didn’t have access to mugs for a cup of tea any time after breakfast.
The biggest downside was that the spa pool was filthy — really very dirty, which was pretty off putting and I don’t recommend anyone use the spa. Other than that it was clean.

There is at least one en-suite room. Hot tub is under cover outdoors and about an 8 person one.
