his is our Go-To whenever I am in NYC. We are very very happy with the Adria.

First of all, they are in a very good location. Lots of shops and restaurants of almost any ethnicity nearby. Northern Boulevard is one of the busiest shopping streets in Queens. The hotel is even just a few blocks from a White Castle, and that is a big treat to me, because I can only get 'em frozen in California. The real thing is special.

If you are driving, you are about 30 minutes to an hour to Manhattan depending on traffic and wherever you are going. You are also close to JFK And La Guardia Airports. The bus, subway, and the Long Island Railroad are available, and a Lyft/Uber to Manhattan will cost you 50 to 60 dollars or so. You are very close to the Throg's Neck and Whitestone Bridges if you are heading anywhere North. The hotel is in Eastern Queens, so there's also very easy access to Long Island.

The hotel is also very accommodating. I usually arrive on an overnight flight, and they usually can get me in my room by 11 AM or so. No promises, but I have never had a problem.

Rooms are older, but fair sized, and we have always gotten a spotless room. The beds are very comfortable, and there is a good sized flat-screen TV with Direct TV. The bathroom is a bit small, but very adequate. Our room always comes with a mini-fridge, and this time, since we were staying almost 2 weeks, we asked if we could get a small microwave. We had one in the room in no time at all. Everyone from the desk clerks to the staff is always very friendly and will help in any way possible.

A hot full breakfast buffet is provided every morning with hot and cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes, waffle machine, the works. A great way to get you on your way. They are one of the few hotels in the area that also provide free parking. Only one time I had a problem with parking. I got the last spot in the parking lot, but I have been told if they are full, you can always park at their sister property, the Best Western, next door.

One thing I do suggest, is check the rates not only with the hotel directly, but also on the internet hotel booking sites. Sometimes booking through the hotel is cheaper, sometimes the internet is. Shop around, but you will not regret your stay here. We will definitely be back.

Before driving into Manhattan for a few days, we wanted to visit sites in Brooklyn and Queens, so we selected this hotel for its price and location and its onsite parking. Check-in late evening was quick and easy. The friendly front desk clerk answered all our questions. The lobby was welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious and welcome complementary breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, assorted pastries, coffee, and more), the likes of which we haven't seen in the past year of traveling during COVID. (We had to provide proof of vaccination in order to receive this perk.)

I booked this during Christmas 2022. My main concern was parking and breakfast, as most hotel reviews were mixed with neither of those. This place had both! Private parking that was very close to the elevator, perfect for the -3 degrees of frigid wind we experienced. The guy who checked me in at almost 2am was very nice and let me know everything I needed to know. Breakfast was WAY more than I had expected, waffle maker with toppings you can add, 2 types of eggs (they actually made them in a pan, was not bagged eggs like other eggs) sausage, potatoes, breads, various pastries, cereal, juices. The hotel itself is old and had some old things, of course. The room was clean, there was indeed cigarette burns all over the rug by the bed, but ZERO remnants of cigarette smell, as someone who used to smoke I can 1000% smell if someone has smoked in a room anytime in the last few months. No smell! Due to COVID they only cleaned the room every 3 days, which was fine as we respect hotels and dont mindlessly dirty towels and sheets. It did disturb us, as we had opened expensive xmas gifts and left them out and forgot to put the DND on the door. Nothing was touched except my blanket, which i totally thought the housekeepers took accidently in the mess of things... turns out they made the bed WITH my blanket haha, so we found it in the morning. Overall this will be my go-to hotel when visiting my family. I really appreciated the staff and private nature of the hotel. I would also like to point out that about 4 mins drive around theres a busy street with lots of cool places with food and snacks, as well as a dunkin donuts with a drive through you can see from the front of the hotel. Thanks for everything Adria!

We got moved here from Inn at Great Neck because they overbooked and moved us to Adria two days before our stay. There was no time to book another hotel and we didn’t want to pay an up charge for last minute booking.

I won’t go into detail but the room at the Adria was a bit old and there were stains and spots of dirt everywhere in the room. The bedding was stained and the towels were also dirty. I’m not sure if this is in every room, we had a peek at another room that looked about the same. Personally I could not sleep on the bed and went to get some cheap bedsheets for the nights I was there. I tried my best to ignore the stains and dirt.

Overall our stay was a bit uncomfortable but what made up for it was the staff at the front desk and the free breakfast every morning 7-10. The breakfast is a full breakfast - oatmeal, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes.

When we checked out, we explained the whole room situation to Jessica and she was extremely kind and apologetic about it. She acknowledged they were having some issues with the vendors for the linens and towels, hence having to reuse old ones. She said that unfortunately the cleaning staff is doing its best but it has been hard since they really just need a remodel.

All of this was helpful as an explanation but she also agreed that it was unacceptable for guests to have to deal with these issues. She didn’t try to say that it wasn’t true, like some other hotel staff will if you have an issue. She additionally comped us for the first night we were there and charged us a lower rate for the second night. She really went above and beyond to make sure we felt better about it and we really appreciated it. I give the staff at Adria 5 stars but the room was for sure 1 star. Thank you Jessica for your help!!

The Adria was a very basic hotel and in need of a serious update. There was a notice at reception stating that housekeeping will only be done every 3 days unless requested more frequently. The night receptionist was abrupt and a lilies rude at times. The breakfast was shocking, poor selection served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. It felt more like a soup kitchen rather than a hotel, which charges $323.65 per night.

I remember when this place was built 50 years ago! I don't think they've updated the lobby since. That being said the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked
We didn't partake of the breakfast but it appeared to be standard fare
The free parking behind the building made it very user friendly in a part of Queens that is over crowded with cars and people.

The hotel staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was great. Loved being in the city and having free parking! We asked where we could fins a microwave and one was delivered to our room. Even though the hotel informs you that they only clean rooms on 3+ night stays they cleaned and replenished our room during our 2 night stay.

The hotel was nicely appointed and the staff was friendly and welcoming and informative.

It is about a 20 minute walk or $10 Uber ride to the LIRR at Bayside. Not terrible but in the rain and cold was less than ideal. However this hotel was less than half the cost of a hotel closer in and the 30 minutes between Bayside and Penn Station was more than worth it.

I’d usually have stayed near Flushing and taken the 7 which takes over an hour if you don’t get the express.

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend. I am sorry to say it was a disappointment. We made a reservation for a room with a king sized bed which we were told was given away to someone else when we arrived. We were offered to stay at the Best Western Hotel next door. It was late, we had just arrived from a long flight from California with several pieces of luggage and we were tired. We were offered no assistance to move to the other hotel. In fact we were told we had to bring our luggage back to our car and drive over to the Best Western next door. Our other option was to stay in a Queen suite at the Adria which we were told was going to be bigger than the King room at the Best Western! When I asked about getting a rate reduction the girl at the desk told me I had to speak to the manager in the morning but that I had to wait until 11 :00! We reluctantly decided to stay at the Adria.
The room was old, dingy and very small. It was definitely not a suite. The curtains on the window were filthy and torn. I would absolutely not go barefoot on the carpet. The pillows were lumpy and the A/C did not work well at all. There was a very small fridge in the room.
The Adria desperately needs to be renovated!

In the morning I went down early and the manger was there. I have to say when I told him what happened he repeatedly apologized and immediately offered to reduce the rate I was charged. He was very pleasant and very accommodating. I appreciated his offer.
The hotel is in a good location for highway access.
Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again.

The Long Island Railroad is not very far and can take you into Manhattan. You can also get connections to travel to Long Island as well (the Hamptons, etc). There are plenty of city bus routes by the hotel as well but no subway within walking distance. It’s about a 15 minute Uber ride.

The Adria Hotel is about 15 miles from Times Square. Public transit takes an hour or longer to get from hotel to Times Square. We were on a roadtrip, travelling by car, so stayed at the Adria ahead of our arrival into Manhattan. Once we arrived in Manhattan, we booked a hotel (Pod Times Square) and parked our car for 4 days.
