We decided to explore our own back yard with family members and discovered this true gem! A beautiful Victorian home gracefully redone and spectacularly furnished. Our host/hostess were very warm, welcoming and gave us VIP treatment from the minute we parked our car to getting back into it again. Since Charles is a chef our 3 course breakfast was divine! We slept beautifully in big comfy beds. Thank you Charles and Allison for a truly enjoyable experience! We highly recommend a stay here and so close to all surrounding amenities makes it convenient.
Such a cute b&b, clean, cozy, comfortable room. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming they really went above and beyond. The 3 course breakfast was 10/10. I wish we'd booked more nights than just one!
FIVE STARS in every way! The room in the carriage house, the veranda for relaxing, one of the best breakfasts we ever had at a BnB and the friendliest hostess. Very forth coming with all kinds of info.of events in the area. You just have to stay here!
We just by chance stayed at the Delft House when our original reservation unexpectedly cancelled on us. We are so very happy this happened! We loved stayihg in the carriage house, had magnificent three course breakfasts, and had a great tour director in Alyson who made terrific suggestions for our limited stay in the lovely Annapolis Valley. Charles used local fruits and vegetables in his breakifast creations. We loved being in the area where our foods were grown. Our first evehihg we drove a few miles to Hall's Harbor on the Bay of Fundy for lobster and scallops and then over to the Look Over. .On our full day we drove to Port Royal, Annapolis Royal, and Fort Anne and were back to the B&B by dark. The next day we had an easy drive to Grand Pre for a morning visit. This location was perfect for our two night stay!…
Beautifully situated in a lovely part of Nova Scotia, Delft Haus owners Alyson and Charles will make you feel welcome and extremely comfortable. Yes, the accommodations are charming, clean and well-maintained, but we found the breakfasts to be the exceptional highlight. Charles' culinary skills are clearly demonstrated each morning with multi-course, cleverly planned breakfast menus. Quiche, zucchini fritters, lemon muffins topped with lavender cream, roasted tomatoes fresh from their garden... just a few of unexpected delights plated and served here. This is clearly a labor of love and we have loved it!
