Petite Anse Beachfront Hotel & Restaurant offers romance, great food and a refreshing escape. With a spectacular view from every room stretching over to the islands of Carriacou and the Grenadines, you'll be relaxing in a spot that has been described as 'idyllic, pristine and romantic'. Nestled under swaying palm trees in a beautiful tropical garden, we overlook a stunning palm-studded beach. Leatherback turtle watching, a boat trip to beautiful Sandy Island and good hiking are all accessible. Independent travellers who want to escape the madding crowd and discover the real Grenada will love the location and ambience. We offer weddings, honeymoons, blessings, retreats for yoga and business and other occasions. We grow as much of our own organic produce as we can for our restaurant and bar. We also have a pool and a beach. We may be a 90 minute drive away from the airport, but when you arrive you'll know why our guests return time and time again.

If you want rest and relaxation, then the modest extra effort to travel to the less developed north of the island is well worth it. There isn’t a lot around Petite Anse other than lush greenery and peace and quiet, but that was what we wanted. The hotel is small and set on a hillside overlooking a cove with a beach that is almost private given the rocks that jut out at either end. The views from the bar/restaurant terrace are spectacular, looking out to Carriacou and Petite Martinique. We alternated between the mostly deserted beach and the small pool by the bar most days. You don’t have to just sit by the pool though, the hotel runs a number of tours (thank you to Leon) including one to the deserted Sandy Island which was super pretty. ( it is worth noting that there was a fair bit of litter there that had built up from previous visitors that somewhat detracted, but when we spoke to Philip the hotel owner about this, he said they would organise a clean up visit) There is also a fun Sunday morning walk that finishes in a local bar and then back to the hotel for a bbq, which was the food highlight of the week. Our beachfront room was called Cocoa and had direct views from our bed to the beach, which was a great way to start the day. We were adopted during our stay by Tommy the hotel cat, and we would gladly have smuggled him back home with us if we could. He benefitted more from the milk that was left daily in our fridge for our tea and coffee than we did. The staff were friendly and keen to help and the atmosphere was super relaxed and personable. It was nice to see lots of locals frequenting the bar and restaurant which made the hotel feel more Grenadian and authentic than other places we stayed. This isn’t an anodyne resort, it has its quirks and issues, but that is part of its charm. For example our shower refused to deliver any hot water during our stay and the food was pretty basic, although i think the main chef was on holiday when we were there. Thankfully it didn’t have evening “entertainment”, if you discount the firefly’s lighting up the trees by the terrace or the frog chorus vying with the sound of the waves rolling up the beach.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re so pleased that Petite Anse offered you the rest, relaxation, and connection to nature that you were seeking. We’re thrilled that you appreciated our location and the tranquility of the north. The lush greenery, peaceful surroundings, and almost-private beach truly make this corner of Grenada special, and it’s wonderful to hear you made the most of the stunning views, our pool, and the serene cove. It’s great to know that you enjoyed your tours with Leon and your day on Sandy Island. Thank you for sharing your feedback about the litter there—Philip is committed to organizing clean-ups to ensure it remains the pristine paradise it’s meant to be. It’s also lovely to hear that the Sunday morning walk and BBQ stood out as a highlight of your week. Cocoa is one of our favorite beachfront rooms, and we’re so glad you enjoyed waking up to those ocean views. It sounds like Tommy the cat made himself quite at home with you—he has a knack for winning over our guests! We’re delighted that the friendly atmosphere and authenticity of Petite Anse resonated with you, including the presence of locals in the bar and restaurant. We’re proud to offer a Grenadian experience that reflects the charm and quirks of the island. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with the shower and the timing of our main chef’s holiday during your stay. We appreciate your understanding, and we’ll continue working to ensure consistency in our service and amenities. Your description of the fireflies, frog chorus, and waves captures the magic of evenings at Petite Anse perfectly—sometimes nature provides the best entertainment of all. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you back to our peaceful haven one day. Warm regards, The Petite Anse Team

We stayed at Petite Anse for four nights and it is one of the nicest places that we have visited. Petite Anse is remote, and that is its appeal. We stayed in a bungalow fairly near the main building and this would be advisable if one has mobility issues. The view from all the bungalows is amazing. They are basic but spotlessly clean. We had a hair-raising taxi ride from the airport which took just over an hour but one should allow an hour and a half to do the journey comfortably. The hotel recommended Robin, a local taxi driver, and he proved to be an excellent guide. He even came to see us on the morning of our departure with a bag of hand picked nutmegs. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant but be aware that you are on Grenadian time! We were very sorry to leave Petite Anse and we would like to return. Our thanks to Philip and his lovely staff.

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review. We’re so pleased to hear that Petite Anse was one of the nicest places you’ve visited and that you enjoyed the peaceful, remote charm that makes our location so unique. It’s wonderful to know that your bungalow provided amazing views and a comfortable stay. We’re delighted to hear Robin made such a positive impression as your guide—his thoughtful gesture with the nutmegs is just one example of the local warmth we love sharing with our guests. We appreciate your understanding of “Grenadian time” in the restaurant—it’s all part of the relaxed pace of life here, and we’re so glad you enjoyed the food during your stay. Thank you for your kind words about Philip and our team. We’d be thrilled to welcome you back for another peaceful escape in the future! Warm regards, The Petite Anse Team

We throughly enjoyed our five night stay at this gem of a place, North Grenada in the parish of St Patrick. Petite Anse has a delightful rustic charm, which some say is outdated. I suggest it’s very intentional. It is also very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. It was truly the most relaxed my husband and I have ever been. The simplicity of it all, no TV just sitting on our veranda watching the palm trees blowing in the breeze and listening to the waves of the ocean. We also made the most of the delightful pool overlooking the beach. Stunning. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The housekeeping was exceptional. On the day laundry service and the rooms smelt so fresh and clean everyday. It was immaculate. The food was good, BBQ on Sunday was a bit pricy if I’m being honest. I must recommend the chicken roti, this was truly delicious. In particular I wanted to do a shoutout to Melvin. The Alchemist/Barman who made the most beautiful and delicious cocktails. We have travelled far and wide and these were as good if not better than any we have had elsewhere. Throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who wanted a truly authentic Grenadian experience in and amongst the beauty and lushness.
We highly recommend the tour of the island which we did with Leon, the visit to Rivers distillery which is like stepping back in time 400 years and the trip to sandy island, which is more beautiful than the Carriacou sandy island, in our opinion. See pictures! We had the island to ourselves and you can catch a lobster and the fisherman who brings you over will cook it for you. The staff at Petite Anse also prepares a picnic for you and includes fresh fish to be cooked. Truly paradise.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us here in the lush parish of St. Patrick. Our goal has always been to create a place where guests can truly disconnect and relax, so we’re thrilled that you appreciated the simplicity and charm of Petite Anse. Watching the palm trees sway and the ocean waves roll in from the veranda is one of our favorite ways to unwind too, and we’re so pleased it brought you the peace you were looking for. We’re especially glad to hear such lovely feedback about our team. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Melvin—he truly is an alchemist behind the bar, and it’s wonderful to know his cocktails stood out as some of the best you’ve experienced. Our housekeeping team will also be so pleased to know their hard work and attention to detail made a difference during your stay. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Sunday BBQ and the chicken roti; it’s feedback like this that helps us improve and ensures our guests continue to enjoy authentic Grenadian flavors. It’s fantastic that you explored the beauty of Grenada through Leon’s island tour, the visit to Rivers distillery, and your adventure to Sandy Island. We love hearing that the picnic we prepared added to your experience—it sounds like the perfect day in paradise. We hope to welcome you back to Petite Anse one day for another truly relaxing and authentic Grenadian escape. Until then, thank you for recommending us and sharing your experience so warmly. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I booked a beachfront hotel room and all I got was the view of another cottage in front of me. We had to bring our bags down to the room ourselves and we are close to 60 years old. The person that showed us the room could barely open it because it had a key on A large piece of wood like you would get if you were going to a bathroom at a 7-Eleven back in the 70s. The room is sparse and the bathroom is dated. There is no air conditioning in the bathroom. While I was Calling Expedia to rebook sitting at the desk in the room, I was bitten by several ants and found out they were a Calling Expedia to rebook sitting at the desk in the room, I was bitten by several ants and found out there were ants all over our room . The food was mediocre and it was so hot in the dining room that I felt nauseated trying to even eat a bowl of soup. The drive to the place is treacherous, and you have to navigate goats, chickens, cats, and people who do not know how to drive. When I was rebooked at another hotel, the owner did not even try and do anything to try and make her stay better. He charged me for $400 for the one night. I stayed because it was too dark to drive on the horrible roads back closer to the airport I would avoid this hotel at all costs .

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. At Petite Anse, we strive to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, and we regret that this was not the case for you. We understand that the view from your room did not align with what you were expecting. While some of our beachfront cottages are situated with partial views, we aim to clarify this in our descriptions and are sorry if this caused disappointment. We also acknowledge your concerns about the assistance with luggage and the key design. While many guests appreciate the rustic charm of our property, we recognize that this was not to your taste, and we will review our guest arrival process to ensure that those who need assistance are well supported. Regarding the presence of ants, we deeply apologize for this issue. Due to our location in a lush, tropical environment, we take regular measures to manage insects and pests. However, it’s clear this was not up to standard in your case, and we will take immediate action to ensure this does not happen again. We are also sorry that you found the dining experience uncomfortable. While the open-air dining area is intended to allow our guests to enjoy the natural surroundings, we are looking into ways to make the space more comfortable during hotter times of the day. Lastly, we regret that your interactions with our team left you feeling dissatisfied. We strive to resolve any concerns during a guest's stay, and we’re sorry if you felt that your concerns were not adequately addressed. Your feedback has been shared with our team as part of our ongoing efforts to improve, and we sincerely hope that you found the remainder of your visit to Grenada more in line with your expectations. Should you wish to discuss your experience further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Warm regards, The Petite Anse Team

We have visited Petite Anse a number of times, visiting for the first time in 2010 the year after it opened. We were entranced and have remained so over many visits. There are so many things to recommend it, its position and views cannot be surpassed. Its simple individual cabins provide privacy and comfort, with the deck being a place to chill out. Staff, and especially housekeeping, are wonderful. Special mention goes to Aran, housekeeping and Melvin in the bar with his great cocktails. Nash who looks after the grounds always has a cheery wave or a chat. Our first glimpse of pelicans is always a great thrill. Its isolation away from mass tourism and a feeling that you are in the middle of nature. Over the years we have seen changes. Staff changes, some as a result of Covid and some as a result of circumstances. We have missed these people. There is a very attractive pool and on initial visits was very enjoyable but advancing years and stiff limbs have meant access to the pool is very difficult as there is no hand rail. The beach is lovely but neglected. I know beaches in Grenada are public property but a little care would make it more appealing. This has been a bit of a swan song as this has been our last visit. We find the journey which involves a trip from the Midlands to the airport followed by the 10 hour flight and then the journey to PA quite stressful, and even more this time when there was a 24 hour delay at Grenada airport. PA is very special to us and holds many wonderful memories. Thank you Philip and Annie for having the dream to build such a remarkable place.

We spent 3 nights in Petite Anse. When we arrived it was raining and windy so not quite the Caribbean experience we had expected! The room we had which was a bungalow very near to the beach was traditional but quite dated. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable the mattress was hard and the frame was creaky! However the staff had decorated the room for our anniversary which was a nice touch. The restaurant menu and food was basic but we had a couple of nice meals. I would definitely recommend a car if you are staying there as the hotel is quite remote. The most memorable part of our trip was a day on Sandy island. The hotel sent us off with a packed lunch and fish for the bbq which was cooked for us on the island. They also provide snorkelling gear and life vests for the boat ride which we wish we had taken as the sea is very choppy on the way there! But definitely worth a visit.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, and we’re so glad you chose Petite Anse to celebrate your anniversary. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the special room decorations and your day on Sandy Island—it truly is a memorable experience, and we’re delighted we could help make it a highlight of your trip. We’re sorry to hear that the weather didn’t quite match your Caribbean expectations upon arrival, and that the bed wasn’t as comfortable as you’d hoped. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll look into ways to improve the sleeping arrangements for our guests. We appreciate your comments on the food and will share this with our kitchen team as we continue refining our menu. As for the remote nature of Petite Anse, it’s part of the charm for those seeking tranquility, but we agree that having a car makes it easier to explore the surrounding area. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you back in the future for a sunnier and even more relaxing stay! Warm regards, The Petite Anse Team

Was booked into this hotel for 3 nights in August. Stayed in the Mango cottage, with a gorgeous view of the small beach, nearby islands and the Atlantic Ocean. The room itself was very clean and basic, in that it had exactly what was required and no more. Airco worked to perfection and kept the room temperature cool, which was seriously needed, especially in the hot evenings. The breakfast was simple and plentiful, with a variety of local fruits, juices and breads. English breakfast was the standard option with local breakfast needing to be ordered a day in advance. Although we forgot to order it, the waitress managed to get us the local breakfast on our final morning, so big shout to her! The cocktails on offer at the bar were a bit hit and miss, with the strawberry daiquiri being too watery, but the Petit Anse special cocktail was delicious and very strong!
The one downside to the hotel is that there is very little else in the vicinity. If you don't have a car then you will have problems, as even the walk back to the main road is an effort in the heat. Would have been nice to have a few local restaurants to choose from.
All in all, the hotel itself was great with the staff being very friendly and helpful. The rooms were great and the view spectacular. Last word goes to the little cat who was very persistent and wanted constant attention!

Thank you for your detailed review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay in Mango Cottage and that the views, comfortable room, and peaceful atmosphere made your time at Petite Anse memorable. It’s great to hear that you appreciated the hearty breakfasts and that our team went the extra mile to provide you with a local breakfast on your final morning—our staff truly loves making guests happy. We’ll also share your feedback about the cocktails with our bar team to ensure every drink is a hit next time! As for the little cat, Tommy is indeed quite the character and definitely a bit of a diva! He has a knack for charming our guests (and demanding their attention), so it sounds like he made quite the impression during your stay. We understand that the remote location adds to the charm for some but can feel limiting without a car. Our team is always happy to assist with transportation or recommendations for nearby activities and restaurants. Thank you again for your kind words about our staff, rooms, and the spectacular views. We hope to welcome you back to Petite Anse for another peaceful escape in the future! Warm regards, The Petite Anse Team

Such a lovely, serene, and special place - a true slice of island magic! If you are on the fence as to whether you should visit this part of the island or this hotel, stop wavering and book a room! The cottages, while not luxurious, are comfortable and well appointed, each with its own stunning view of the resort's beach, which, while not technically private(by law, all beaches in Grenada are public), you will have virtually all to yourself. I cannot think of a more relaxing place to be than on the hammock on the front porch of the cottage, leisurely reading while taking in the view and the sounds of the crashing waves below. The pool is also lovely, as is the bar and dining area, with expansive views of Cariccou, St Vincent & the Grenadines, and on a clear day, as far as St Lucia.

We’re delighted that the charm of the cottages, with their stunning views and tranquil hammocks, made your stay so relaxing. My wife and I were there for 10 days, not even a month ago for our honeymoon and totally enjoyed our visit. This was a second marriage for both of us and were looking for something quiet and out of the way. We are so happy we chose Petite Anse. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Nakitha was absolutely wonderful and patient w us as we always had a million questions, she arranged several tours for us and we were not disappointed. We were so happy to meet and spend some time with the owners Phillip and Tanya and can understand why the staff is so happy and laid back. They have created such a warm and comfortable environment both for their guests and staff. The food was amazing every day, everything was fresh and made on site even their coconut ice cream. We did not walk away from any meal feeling empty or disappointed. There are so many nice things to say about the staff and all the little things they did to make our stay a memorable one. We were able to meet and talk at length to many staff members and they really made us feel welcome. We had a difficult time saying goodbye to everyone as it was like leaving family. I cant say enough nice things about Petite Anse. We are so pleased with our visit we want to return for our 1 year anniversary. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay and we look forward to seeing everyone again. Rich and Kerry

The location is very quiet and peaceful. Definitely a place to stay if you want to relax. The dining room and bar had good prices and the service was excellent. Within walking distance to Sauteurs. Plenty of other good hikes in the area. We participated in the Sunday morning walk sponsored by the hotel and also enjoyed the Sunday barbecue. We booked the Sandy Island trip and that was enjoyable. A huge thank you to Dona for taking care of scheduling and making our reservations. The 4 stop tour led by our driver, Leon was great. We will definitely stay again.

Loungers on the beach have seen better days. There is a box with cushions you can put on the loungers but once again quite tired. I don't mind this as the beach is such a fabulous place to relax and often you are the only one there.
"Definitely take advantage of the hotel arranging the taxi service to and from the airport. The drive is about 90 min on very winding, narrow roads with occ land slides."
