A place that grabs your heart (and never lets go) From tall mountains to shimmering reefs, spicy rhythms to rolling Soca reggae, pirate shipwrecks to sugar-sand beaches, this Caribbean archipelago is a joyous mosaic of islands and explosion of color, fringed by beaches everywhere you look and soaked in rum. Six Senses La Sagesse Grenada, enjoys a pride-of-place setting between the ocean and a protected cove on the south-eastern part of the island, known for its spices and relaxed lifestyle. Suites and villas extend across 38 acres (15 hectares) within the natural topography of the land, with great effort given to ensuring space, natural daylight and uninterrupted views over the tranquil bay and ocean. Influenced by the traditional architecture, the design language mimics a Caribbean village bursting with variety along the lagoon promenade and beach, with natural walkways through the gardens maintaining the connection to Grenada’s “Spice Island” heritage.

Nestled in a serene setting, Six Senses La Sagesse has garnered acclaim for its spotless environment and inviting atmosphere, with guests particularly appreciative of the hotel's meticulous attention to detail. The spacious and well-appointed rooms, equipped with modern amenities, have earned high praise for enhancing comfort and luxury during stays. While opinions on value show some dissent due to premium pricing, the hotel's service stands out, with its professional and warm staff frequently commended for their personalized approach. Despite some criticism of the beach amenities and occasional mediocre food offerings, the overall sentiment towards the hotel's amenities remains positive, with the inclusion of private pools and a variety of complimentary activities.

The complex is completely new built and incredibly beautiful.from great suites with private pool to large pools within the complex and lots of greenery. The outdoor facilities are well maintained and include a bridge over a watercourse, an own shop, various restaurants, a coffee and an outdoor bar.
The suites themselves are beautifully decorated that bathroom with double vanity, bathtub and extra shower. The staff is Mega interested in making you feel comfortable with all your senses here. Thank you again.

We were fortunate enough to stay at this beautiful property for 6 days and can’t wait to return!
Upon arriving at the hotel, check-in with Rockel was seamless and easy, and our GEM (Guest Experience Maker) was upbeat, super friendly, and wanted to make sure we had the best experience. We took a buggy tour of the property and were so impressed with the beauty, the views, the lushness and the organic gardens that grow most of their vegetables !
Our room was beautiful, spacious and overlooked the ocean and the lagoon. Just breathtaking to wake up to that every morning! The pillows and bedding were perfect and very high quality as well as all the bathroom amenities. We loved the tangerine colored Six Senses flip flops as well!
I cannot say enough about the food! Everything is organic, lots of fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, the basket of fresh cold-pressed morning juices was fantastic, oat milk lattes were perfect, so many choices on the buffet plus a menu! Also, the ice cream and sorbet at SCOOP is all made with fresh ingredients on property with the most wonderful flavors and spices!
We ate at both restaurants for dinner. Sea Fire is set in a beautiful location with the ocean waves lapping up on the beach a few feet away. Fresh fish was amazing as well as the lamb chops, steak and the biggest lobster tail I’ve ever had! My husband is gluten-free and the chef, Abi, took special care to ensure all his food was gluten-free and made him special desserts as well! Their care and concern were evident and they went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests! Callaloo was also wonderful for dinner and with a different menu.
What I also l loved about the property was the myriad of places to sit, read, relax, hang out - private little beach areas, the 3 pool areas, and the game room! When it rained for a few minutes here and there, we ducked into the game room and played pool !
They are also in the process of making a large beach which should be done in a few months which will be a fantastic addition to the property/experience!
The spa was lovely and we both had a fantastic body wrap with Shenell.
I also want to give a special thanks to Shante, the fantastic restaurant hostess, Kimmon, the awesome, friendly buggy driver, Rockel, Joanna and really, all the staff who made our stay so memorable and special!
Just a little aside - it can get very windy, so be sure and bring a light jacket and a hat or headband to keep your hair in place!

Dear Susan, What an absolute pleasure to find your review here waiting for us. The experience you describe is everything a Six Senses stay should include, from our organic and local cuisine to our many inviting spaces to relax here on our lush property. As you discovered, we are committed to a sense of 'barefoot luxury' here at La Sagesse, and we will pass along your compliments to Kimmon, Shante, Shenell, Rockel, Joanna, and your GEM. Chef Abi was happy to accommodate your husband's gluten-free dietary needs, and we're glad you got a tour of our gardens. We hope we have the chance to pamper you both again soon! Warm regards, Antonica Cadore, Quality Manager

Six Senses La Sagesse is a luxurious resort nestled in a peaceful oasis of lush vegetation and ocean views.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm, genuine smile and a signature arrival experience that set the tone for my amazing stay.

My stay in the Ocean View Pool Suite was truly memorable. I was able to relax in the plunge pool overlooking the ocean and enjoy a bubble bath with the lemongrass bath bomb on the bath amenity tray. The suite was spacious and included several welcome amenities that I truly appreciated.

During my stay, I thoroughly enjoyed participating in an Alchemy Bar workshop and used the scrub throughout my trip. Throughout my stay, everything was top-notch from the warm, attentive, and professional staff to the food in Seafire and Callaloo.

I must highlight several of the staff members that made the stay rewarding:
Danae
Claudian
Tion
Leslian
William
Ece
Tralia
Abbie

I highly recommend that you come and experience this resort. You will not regret it!

Open too soon….. so last time we were in Grenada we tried Sandals again. So this time we thought we’d try the much hyped about new resort on island.

Well, I wish we hadn’t. The resort itself looks beautiful but the finishing and attention to detail is very lacking for an allegedly 5 star resort.

Some of the staff were friendly but others due to the fact the resort has very few people there were very lazy and unassuming.

The biggest issue is the beach. It isn’t the typical beautiful turquoise waters. The beach is rough. My partner the first time in the water saw a sanitary towel floating in the water and a LOT of rubbish in the water. The second beach isn’t swim able because the water is so rough. So all you have is the pool area, no real carribean beach.

The hotel is also mis advertised as south of the island. It’s not it’s on the cost on the east coast. Even their Instagram page when you look at the location it’s marked at is wrong. Which is false advertising.

For such an expensive resort in the carribean it’s clearly opened too early and there are a number of issues with restaurants and food.

Due to it being so empty there’s no life to the hotel it’s very clinical and dead. If you like people it’s not the place to go. There’s no one to talk to.

Maybe try again in about a year once they’ve solved all the opening issues and sorted the beach out!

Dear Claire, We really appreciate your honest feedback about your recent stay at Six Senses La Sagesse and we always strive to use it to enhance the guest experience at our resort. It saddens us deeply to hear about the challenges you faced during your stay, and we genuinely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment you may have experienced. Please know that we are taking your feedback very seriously. Our maintenance team is working diligently to improve the challenges highlighted and our sustainability champions conduct weekly resort clean-ups which include all our coastal areas. While our resort is nestled on the southeastern side of the island, where the beach may differ from the typical white sand beaches found on the southwestern side, the beach near our watersports center is safe for swimming. We also have a more regular live entertainment schedule to elevate the dining experience and have always offered crafted experiences on-and-off the resort for our guests. We truly hope that in the future you will consider giving us another chance to welcome you back. Once again, thank you for choosing Six Senses La Sagesse, and if you require any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at antonica.cadore@sixsenses.com. Warmest regards, Antonica Administration and Quality Manager

Pros:
Grounds, rooms, the views, cleanliness of the overall hotel, comfort, welcome experience from management and their kindness and efforts towards children. They gave our daughter a gift which was very kind.
Management jumps to action when you complain, but as someone that doesn't like complaining on vacation, it is frustrating to have to do so to get anything a luxury hotel should offer without asking.

Cons:
Beach - there's really no beach. The watersport area is covered in beach wood and algae, up to your ankles. if you walk around the lagoon/cove there is a lovely beach on the other side at an off hotel grounds restaurant but you have to walk through beach trash to get there.
Housekeeping - does not come to the room until 5pm when you're back in the room to shower for dinner. You can be out all day and they don't come unless you explicitly ask. We came back to our room with the coffee maker (we did not put it there) in the sink and a plate of food sitting outside for 2 days collecting ants.
You have to ask for water repeatedly. The water coolers near the pool rarely have water and you have to ask for cups from the pool bar (and you feel annoying doing so as you're not met with positive happy service) - no one comes around the pool and offer drinks or water.
Food quality - It's just mediocre. When you think "Six Senses" you're expecting high end, high quality, fresh seafood and great Caribbean options and you don't get that.

Honestly, it feels like a high end Hilton. When you arrive the welcome experience has you believe it will be a 5 star hotel and it very much is not. We hoped this would be above or on par with Four Seasons, Ritz experiences and what we have heard of other Six Senses properties. When you pay over $1,000/night you expect more than what you get there.

Dear Christina, Thank you for taking a moment to share your detailed feedback with us. As the only Six Senses in the Americas, we take your feedback to heart. As you noted, our vibe is unique here at La Sagesse, reflecting our dedication to sustainability, wellness, and tranquility. We are glad we made a good first impression upon arrival, and that your daughter felt special when presented with her gift. We appreciate knowing that while our hosts were quick to respond to any needs, there were times when guest needs should have been intuitive, and we will use your feedback for further education and training. We hope you and your family enjoyed our Atlantic-side Lance Pere and La Sagesse bays once oriented to our beach offerings, and that your private pool also provided a place to enjoy a tranquil dip. We would welcome the chance to earn your full approval one day soon. Kind regards, Antonica Cadore, Quality Manager

In February 2025, we spent the day at Six Senses and had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, we were captivated by the serenity of this pristine property - a truly hidden paradise. We were then warmly greeted at the Callaloo Restaurant, where we received top-tier service from our hostess Sheronna. After breakfast, we proceeded to the Game Room, where we met Karina, who happily engaged us in competitive games of pool, foosball and darts . The ambience, hospitality of the staff and food left a lasting impression, we would definitely be back!

Fabulous experience. Beautiful Grenada and excellent a Six Senses experience. We stayed for a week in villas 404 & 405 as family of 17 and we were instantly made to feel very welcome and cared for.

The team at Six Senses ensured that we had everything we needed and responded quickly to our numerous requests over the duration of our stay.

The food was great and every time we visited the spa or communal areas we were happily greeted by a member of the Six Senses team. Fun buggy rides up and down from the Villas made everything effortless and easy.

Almost all the family had various treatments during the week and the team at the Spa are both organised and professional. Excellent all round.

Both villas were appointed to a high standard and the views over the perfect infinity pools will stay with us forever !

Thank you Six Senses for looking after us all so well.

We just wrapped up a stay here, were completely delighted, and would welcome the chance to return. A few specific comments...

First, as noted in some other reviews, this property is not situated on a singular stretch of white sand beach akin to what you might find in Turks or Cayman. If you are wanting that, you should go elsewhere. Rather, this part of Grenada is lush and governed by the trade winds, which keep consistent breezes flowing on the Eastern side of the island including this section of St. David's Parish. If you want a classic large, flat, calm, white beach this is not your place.

Instead, this property is like being on a large private ocean front estate with incredible gardens, pools, etc. It's lush and vibrant, amazingly beautiful, rich in natural interest and in our view a gorgeous place to take a break from colder climates this time of year.

Beyond the natural environment and lovely facilities as mentioned above, the two things that make this place particularly special are the staff and the programming. At every turn, each member of the staff was friendly, attentive, and seeking to go above and beyond. From the wait staff to the reception folks to the wellness and spa people, we found everyone to be extraordinarily friendly, welcoming and professional. We've had the benefit of traveling reasonably extensively and felt service levels at this property were as good as anywhere we've been.

Some specific tips:
- Do lots of yoga and wellness activities. Sandeep is great, and makes it all highly accessible whether you are currently an advanced yogi or your body has the flexibility of dried pasta. He's great and really leans in on your overall wellness in a great way.
- Go ebiking with Teon (sp?). He's from St. David's originally and seems to know everyone in the area. He has an amazing positive energy and it's a great way to see beyond the resort itself.
- Fully avail yourself of the spa. It's lovely, and unlike many resort spas, the therapists really know what they are doing and can get into those knotted up spots to do some real work. Spa staff is super friendly as well.
- The property is large, and villas range in distance from things. Staff will pick you up with a buggy any time you like, but one can do a lot of walking. We liked that and saw it as a feature, but if you have mobility issues, we would recommend talking to the staff about villa location ahead of time.

Enjoy!

Dear Peter, Thank you for sharing your insightful and well-informed review. We know future guests will benefit from your descriptions of all we offer here at our Six Senses in Grenada. As you noted, our location benefits from the trade winds, and we're glad you always enjoyed our sweeping bay views and our lush grounds. As mentioned, we are always ready to pick up guests by buggy, but we're glad you explored our property on foot as well, to enjoy our many gardens and tropical landscapes that lend to a sense of island oasis. This was our (me, and wife) first Six Senses stay. This place is beautiful. We were in a panoramic room(51) and the views were stunning.

I can’t say enough about the staff, they made us feel so welcome.

There were a lot of little things that made a huge impact to our stay:

- Getting up at 5:30am to fish the shore with GM Jeff David. No luck, but great fun!

- Nightly turn down service where they placed slippers at the perfect angle such that when I woke up I could directly slide my feet into them (seriously!).

- Getting greeted at breakfast every morning with a warm hug from Sharona, (I strongly recommend the pumpkin pancakes, my wife and I split an order each morning, see photo below).

- The secluded black sand beach with just a few lounge chairs and some big beanbags, great spot for a private beach day.

- A great hike to the Seven Sisters falls guided by Emron, and reaching the third fall, which was amazing.

- Afternoon free homemade ice cream at the ice cream bar (strawberry with caramel sauce is my recommendation)

- The rum tasting with Nerry - great local rums!

- The dinner specials at Seafire Grill. The lobster special was so big there was no room for it on the plate. And delicious too.

- The vegetables are mostly grown on the property and are delicious. We walked by them daily and heard about the gardens from the head gardener Dean.

- Fresh coconuts, cut open straw added, and brought to our chairs (again, free) by watersports and pool attendant Charlseson.

I could go on and on. We had a relaxing yet also adventurous week. We were made to feel extremely comfortable, lots of free activities (yoga, fire ritual, to name a few), great food, friendly staff.

One note - there are two beach, but this is, today, mainly a pool-type of resort. As I mentioned above we spent the day at the black sands beach (water too rough to swim, but the black sands were talcum powder soft). We walked the main beach a few times and did swim in it one day, but it is narrow, with no room for beach chairs. I believe the beach will be improved in the coming months. This did not matter to us because the 2 large infinity pools are right on the edge of the beach, you can be at the pool and see the ocean 30’ away.

Response from A H, Owner at Six Senses La Sagesse
Responded 27 Jan 2025
Dear John, What a pleasure to find your glowing review waiting for us! It was lovely to welcome you and your wife to Grenada, and we are honored to have hosted your first Six Senses stay. As you discovered, we are committed to curating an oasis here amid our pools, lush grounds, views, and beaches, and we love that you both embraced all we offer. It was our pleasure to pamper you with our turn down service, fresh fruit and produce straight from our gardens, yoga, and more. We're glad you got up early to try your hand at fishing with Jeff and sampled rums with Nerry. And we agree that the Seven Sisters hike is not to be missed! We will pass along your compliments on our food sourcing to Dean, and we're glad you enjoyed each meal at SeaFire and Callaloo. We hope you will be back to make more cherished memories the next time you need some rest and relaxation. Warm regards, Antonica Cadore, Quality Manager
