Le Buche is set on a beautiful winery off the beaten track. Google maps is better to use than a GPS as we were surrounded by bush but were told we reached our destination after a day of exploring. It also has an amazing Spa for adults. Be aware there is a €15 surcharge per person for flip flops, robe and towels if you don’t have your own. These towels are not renewed. There’s a restaurant on site but only serves a set menu at dinner. Danielle was very kind and accommodated my dietary needs. She is very hospitable and will try her best to help. We even got our laundry done with Danielle’s help. This was a huge help as we were only halfway through our holiday. This resort is more suited to couples as opposed to families. Breakfast was excellent with stunning views. The only complaint we had was the temperature in our room. It kept rising despite our efforts to turn off the heating. We were unable to sleep on any of the nights with temperatures reaching 26C and 27C .When we spoke with Ricardo he told us it was due to the temperatures during the day and to open the windows. This did nothing to help. The safe was non functional and when we approached him for batteries, he insisted it worked without checking. Avoid room 20 unless you are a warm sleeper. In short Danielle is fantastic and Ricardo should stay away from customers.

After finding the turning we drove along a @white Road@ for 10 minutes arriving at Le Buche. We had booked through Secret Escapes for a week and were amazed by this beautiful place among the vines and olive trees. We were met and checked in by Richard and offered a welcome drink of their beautiful wine, as we enjoyed our drink Daniela was working on place settings for a special graduation party they were having that night and she asked us what we thought was best. It really was like visiting with friends. Our room overlooked the pool and was very comfortable plus had mosquito screens! That evening we had a spectacular dinner there, which we highly recommend. We ate here twice more on our visit and both of those meals were lovely. A wonderful place we wholeheartedly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Le Buche for 5 nights with a secret escapes package. The night that we arrived we we were a bit late as it is more than a 2-hour drive from Pisa airport, and we decided to stop off and see the leaning tower on the way! Our host Daniella gave us a warm welcome and and took a straight in to have dinner with the other guests, despite it being a set menu and running to a schedule. We then checked into our room which was a gorgeous cottage (deluxe) with white beams. Very spacious, modern lock and heating system. State of the art bathroom with walk in shower. We spent the next 4 days exploring and visiting Siena, Florence and on the last day stayed in to use the amazing spa, go for walks and lie by the outdoor pool. I had two massages which were the highlights of my stay, the therapist was very experienced! We ate dinner at the hotel almost every night, the food was very good quality. This hotel sure does have high standards! Breakfast was such a treat, with a range of fresh fruits, croissants, yoghurts, breads, honey, jams, cheeses and anti-pastis. Not to mention cakes! We were so impressed with every aspect of our stay. The icing on the cake was the wine tasting which we saved for the last evening. It was so hard to choose which wines to buy to take home... The views from the hotel are breathtaking. Sitting outside in our private terrace overlooking the stunning hills and valleys was priceless. No photos can do it justice. Overall we were thrilled with the holiday, and the secret escapes package including car hire, dinner on the first night, bottle of wine and wine tasting worked out to be amazing value. We cannot fault a single part of the hotel and our stay. An ideal retreat for anyone who wants to experience genuine ITALIAN hospitality!

Absolutely beautiful setting, with stunning views and food worth the trip for alone. We stayed here only one night and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The wine tasting menu is absolutely recommend and the even accommodated for my partners gluten intolerance without making it an issue. The spa is incredible, but one of our highlights was the greeting and company of Zelda the dog. We’re already looking to book again for next year, only for much longer this time!
