Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel's Favourite
A lovely hotel with extremely attentive and welcoming staff. The rooms are modern, spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and the hotel restaurant ‘Ristorante Spirito Mediterraneo’ is excellent.

Lovely Hotel. The Junior Suite was an excellent choice for the family, being very spacious with separate rooms. Just a few seconds away from the main block. Parking space available for anyone travelling by car and the hotel services where great. Breakfast was included and was an excellent choice to start off the day. My priorities where met, comfort, cleanliness, onsite parking and wonderful surroundings.

To visit the valley di Noto cities this is an interesting place to stay if you don’t want to be in a busy city center. Modica is just 10 min away. Reception is very helpful and the rooms are ok, just make sure you can cope with a totally white room. It was a bit warm and for the evening we wanted to use the airconditioner but it was not yet working. The breakfast was pleasant if you like lots of cake . My big disappointment was that this is sold as room with noise cancellation. However you could follow the next door conversation ( potentially through the ventilation system?) and other things couples do. And they were not yelling at all.

Stayed here 5 days. The room & hotel were very clean & most of it quite modern, although some of it was older style & needed updating . Apparently this will occur at some point. The bedroom was comfy ( nice linen & comfortable bed ( large) The bathroom was dated with telephone plastic box shower & a circular loo seat that was uncomfortable to sit on . All very clean though . The breakfast, served to you( a little unusual in this day & age) from the buffet style layout was extensive. Lots of sweet pastries & cakes , a little savoury choice with eggs , mozzarella tomatoes & cold meat & cheese. After a day or so they provided me with a cake made from spelt flour as I cannot tolerate normal wheat . This was much appreciated. The pool looked lovely but too cold to swim .( not heated) Very quiet area although we heard a few odd noises at night, generally we slept well . The staff were very friendly & accommodating. Kettles only in some rooms as we discovered as moved to a better room due to pipe noise at night .( Would be useful to have one in all rooms) There was building work on most of the daytime as building a new kitchen & hence sadly the restaurant was temporarily closed. We knew this before we had booked. Modica is nice to visit & not too far away by car . Surrounding area is very pretty with masses of stone walls & rough grassland . Pretty rural . Will be interested to see how this hotel evolves with various new updating / new kitchen. Overall we would return to this hotel .

Very modern hotel and extremely clean. You need a car since it is not in the centre but they have a very convenient free car park and restaurants can be reached easily. The staff are very helpful. The swimming pool area is spacious and clean. Breakfast and the restaurant food was delicious. Recommended.

Amazing staff - so nice and helpful. The food we had for dinner was extremely good. Pool area was nice and very relaxing. The bathroom we had in our room need a bit of revamp as it was quite old. We have booked a superior room and it was without a kettle, we think it might be a good idea to add one for those early wakers like us :)

Absolutely love this hotel. We had a room with a lovely terrace where we could enjoy the peace and quiet and the amazing views. Hotel is very clean. There is a bar where you can enjoy lovely cocktails. There is a restaurant as well which we didn’t try but it looks very nice. The pool area is also lovely and not busy. Breakfast was good. The hotel has ample parking space. Staff was all very nice except for one server named Palma who was extremely rude during breakfast - this is the only reason I would not rate 5 stars. But in all, it was a lovely stay and good value for money. Will definitely return!

This was our fourth stay in four years at this lovely hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly, the hotel and rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable and the breakfast is very good. Besides the hotel is equipped with a beautiful pool, tennis courts, gym and spa. It is always a pleasure to end our annual motorbike adventure at the Pietre Nere resort & spa.
