Five stars! Just Need a Hotel for New Year .. I got a complimentary upgrade to a wonderful suite. The room was really comfortable with amazing views. Thank you for your wonderful Staff especially Mr Lee, the direct manager of the hotel. He assisted me with a lot of things during my stay. They were very helpful in guiding me through the steps. I enjoy the environment and the beautiful ocean view by the hotel. Thank you again for amazing holiday in China with my girl. We will definitely be coming back.

This hotel is big, and consists of a number of connected 6—floor high towers. The finishing looks great… from a distance. My room had a wooden floor, something I like. But, it looks like it urgently needed a new finish layer to protect it to the sun/rain (be aware, this is a tropical area, it can rain a lot! It is hot and humid in this region, so air-conditioning is necessary and it works very effective and very quietly. But, the air does not seem to be very clean looking at the dark spots around the ventilation area. You will find a big bed with different pillows, all good except for the cover below the mattress: this one was dirty (looks like different shoe-shine spots). Again good: you will find 2 water bottles for coffee/tee, and 2 in the bath room. What did not work well was the WIFi, and if you connect, make sure not to use google as this does not seem to find anything. Also be aware that things like WhatsApp do not work in this hotel. Breakfast serves both Chinese and Western tastes. You will find e.g. croissant, small cakes, toast, baguette,… but only one type of jam. If you want coffee, you will be served if you ask for it. You can also take if from a coffee machine, provided you can read the Chinese signs. I also had a lot of issues to get the hotel bill, I had to go back three times before they were able to provide it…and it was still wrong. This is not because they don’t want to support you, but language remains a big problem if you are not a Chinese speaking person. To be fair: you get great value for the money. Since this is also a vacation resort, you must be aware that there will be more noise than in a business hotel (kids playing, people talking loud,..) One important remark that can save you a lot of time: if you travel in China by plane, make sure to print the boarding pass on PAPER! You will not be allowed to pass security without a paper version. This also applies when you have a transfer flight! I lost a lot of time by only having these boarding passes on my cell phone.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the The Dunes Golf Golf Courses (East and West) where we played on 11 and 12 Nov 2017. The breakfast spread included local and international food which we enjoyed very much. The facilities at the hotel were good but we were out at the golf courses most of the time and had little time to enjoy most of the hotel facilities..

8 of us stayed here mid March for 3 nights on our annual golf tour to Asia. The rooms are ok although the rest of the hotel, looks tired and old, the beds comfortable enough, but it was the unbelievably bad service and food that really left us amazed. We ate one night in the restaurant off the lobby and were offered the choice of the buffet or a la carte, we looked at the buffet and seriously there was nothing left, and what was there was dried and totally unappealing. We ordered from the menu just after 8 pm and it took until 10.15 to get a few hamburgers, won ton soup and some fried rice. Most of this time was taken trying to explain to the waitress what we wanted as she didn't speak a word of English and made a number of trips to the kitchen and back again, seriously what sort of training, or lack of, do these people get? Not even the basics, just unbelievable. While we waited I was watching the kitchen staff fool around like idiots, laughing and carrying on, absolutely no supervision, I mean where's the F&B manager or assistant to kick these clowns into action? The check in staff were just as bad, no English spoken at all, I tried to change some money and the guy behind reception just said 'no' and walked away, it was only when a nice Russsian lass took over that I was able to change some $A. We stopped at the bar down stairs where they have the claypot, can't remember it's name, and we struggled to get cold beer, let alone make them understand what we wanted. The breakfast buffet was ok, as long as you got to the food before the Russians stuffed it all into bags and took it away. In all a terrible stay and I don't know how Sheraton can put their name to such rubbish, they obviously don't care much about their brand

Very average. While the grounds are awesome and beautiful the hotel lacks staff in the right places. We have been there multiple times and never seen anyone at the pool bar area, leaving you to have to walk inside to he restaurant bar to get anything. A lot of the rooms, although very clean, are musty and smell damp and moldy. The food is decent, although if you are there longer than a week it gets very repetitive. If Sergi is still there he is the BEST! He can handle anything you need in or out of the restaurant! He is a great guy and always happy to help. He speaks great English too so that made things a lot easier once we found him. I would go back, but I would probably book into the Sheraton next door for the extra bit of 💰per night. It's not a huge price difference. Better rooms and more food options!

Let me start by saying that the beach and the swimming pool are the best features this hotel has to offer. The beach is clean with plenty of sun beds and towels and the swimming pool is well maintained. But that's it from the good things this hotel has to offer. Now let me start with the bad stuff. Most of the girls in the reception do not speak English. When we checked in, the girl was on the phone all the time; there was only 1 person working in the reception. She didn't even look us in the eye or greet us, she completed the check in and when we had to pay the deposit, she didn't even know how to say that in English and called a girl from the Eatery restaurant, who spoke to us in Russian. The same girl kept speaking to us in Russian each time we went to the restaurant (we stayed for 5 nights) and at one point we scolded her as we didn't like to be addressed in Russian. The same girl also accused us for stealing boiled eggs because we wanted to sit outside as I wanted to smoke. Outrageous! The quality of food in the Eatery is horrible!!!! First of all most of the dishes are Chinese, but let me tell you: after being in many hotels in China this is the first one who didn't even have dumplings! The first ever! The kitchen guys were slow, very slow and nobody seemed to care. The plates where the food was displayed remained empty for a long time. Even the the filled Chinese buns. The sausages were horrible; Chinese sausages with sugar that I would never buy even in the supermarket. One morning there was bacon (bacon was missing from the breakfast menu the rest of the days) and when I saw a woman eating bacon I was happy. When I went to get some there was no bacon. And when I asked for bacon they said: we don't have. Then I confronted one of the boys there saying that I saw people eating bacon; he asked the cook (the guy making eggs) and he didn't even bother to answer. I refused to leave and waited for 10 minutes until some bacon came in a plate only for me! The dinner buffet is more horrible. First they advertise in the lobby that the buffet dinner is 120 rmb but when you go in the restaurant they tell you is 138. I showed the ad in the lobby I have taken a pic of and they said to me, it is only for Russians. And I said: how do you know I am not Russian (even though I am not) and the girl was quiet and allowed us to eat. Again, the food quality was horrible! Very few dishes running out very quick. There was duck and after 10 minutes it was gone. It was replaced with Chinese sweet ham. Just horrible! When we wanted to change the room since we were placed nearby the Kid's club and an intersection connecting three parts of the resort the reception said tomorrow, when we went there tomorrow they said again tomorrow. The excuse: they were fully booked. And I asked what if a pipe bursts in the actual room or there is a problem in the room we are staying: where are you gonna put us, since the hotel is fully booked? The answer was: silence! The housekeeping were too loud dragging their noisy carts and speaking to each other loudly in distance. They didn't clean the glasses and the cups and we have to call them back so they can do so. To round it up: the hotel is below Sheraton standards and there are serious management issues, including the lack of training the staff properly. Even in the confirmation of the booking there is no mention of the name of the manager (standard for all Sheraton bookings). If it was mentioned I would have requested a meeting with the manager to raise my concerns since I work in travel/ hospitality industry myself. I think Sheraton and SPG should immediately inspect this property and take the necessary measures to improve the services and F&B.

Stay only one night during our trip in wanning, but the food, services and facilities are a extremely bellow average . Can be so much better if the staff just care a bit more. No one help us on arrival with our luggage . No one told us where to go or how to get to our room after check in , or even show a map of the resort . Rain was falling from the roof in the lobby but that didn't bother staff which were passing around . We almost slipped down a few times due to the wet floor. There was no signs for slippery floors. No safety for guest. We ordered drinks, and when we asked for the bill, the staff showed us the amount on his personal phone?? not professional for a five star resort.... Better hotels are available near by, give Four Points are miss ..

All I can say is Amazing!!! Everything was great! Service exceptional. Very welcoming. All Clean. All are ready to help. Free shuttle bus to and from airport/train station if you stay 2 or more nights. Only downfall is that food at the resort is very expensive. I will definitely be coming back here.

I spend one night at this hotel because we went to surf competition at Riyue Bay and were offered a good rate. I would never come back to this hotel though. Service at check in and out was terrible. Breakfast was a zoo, the only guy that saved us was the manager at the breakfast buffet who helped us greatly. Thank you. The only fruit I saw on buffet was water melon. Everything basically catered for Chinese customers. Same with dinner, they ran out of bread but after complaining for 30 minutes they went to the normal sheraton next door to bring us more bread. Sanya or dadonghai a long way from resort. The room was nice but smelled very musty the whole time we stayed and even after they sprayed our room. The bathroom smelled terrible as well. The pool area is very nice. I would never go back to this hotel. Too many great choices in that area.
