The hotel in right in the middle of town. Although it's a little 'old style' our room was nicely renovated and warm and comfy and there are further renovations in progress. The staff were welcoming and helpful. One feature I thought was great is that the hotel has a guest kitchen where you could get plates and cutlery or wine glasses or cook a meal. And the cafe is fantastic.
Last minute trip with a friend for a few days skiing and chose this hotel based on the limited availability and budget. Must say I was a little skeptical prior to arriving but was very surprised. It is older but certainly has everything that is needed. The room we had was lovely and we had a fantastic view of the lake. It was very clean and very comfortable. It is only a very short walk, ie. steps, to get to restaurants, shops, the lake. There was a lovely cafe and a restaurant attached to this hotel. If you are on a budget and want to be close to everything this is definitely a great place to stay.
Great location with just a very short walk into town with views across the town and lake. The Hotel is old but has had some modern renovations so our room was clean and tidy which is what most of us are after. Staff are friendly and helpful. Compared to other hotels we have stayed in this may be slightly overpriced.
This is a lovely hotel, centrally located. The compact queen room has no view, but very comfortable (refurbished). Bathroom very small, but well designed. Very clean room, must consider when staying in Wanaka.
There was an art festival next door when we stayed which was a bit of a pain at night as some of the music played really was not good and very basey however the accommodation was clean and although basic very comfortable and the reception lady was really pleasant and helpful.Price was really reasonable and situation excellent as right in town
