The Minaret experience starts with a breathtaking 20 minute helicopter ride over the most extraordinary landscape and then you land in the middle of nowhere! First impressions are this is just a group of sheds! But then you go into the main area and you are immediately greeted by the most wonderful selection of wines and 5 star dining and...

We stayed at Minaret during a 3 week tour of NZ. It was the highlight of our trip. While located in the middle of nowhere, the accommodations, food and service were first class. The individual cabins are close to 1000 sq. ft, with private hot tubs on the decks, a separate living room and entry. The views were outstanding! Our...

Ok I was hesitant to write a review because I really want to keep this place as much under wraps as possible. I don't know what I can say about a place where my husband says "Minaret Station was hands down the best place I've ever stayed" and we are used to staying a 6* luxury places like the Brando,...

An incredible combination of scenery, service, nature and activities - all delivered in authentic NZ high country comfort. The helicopter flight in is un-match-able ... over lakes, valleys, mountains and glaciers - then to be dropped off at the head of a valley and hike down to the lodge. Terrific food and charming hosts. It isn't Huka Lodge decor but...

We are enjoying the most wonderful Classic Car Rally in New Zealand and were lucky enough to spend a day at this unique Lodge. After a morning in a helicopter making multiple landings, we arrived for lunch prepared by Jeremy and his incredible team whilst we watch him produce the freshest of crayfish dishes, home grown lamb, venison fillet and...

There are only 4 luxury cabins so around 8 people is capacity. It's only accessible by helicopter which adds to the exclusivity so it's good that it's owned by a helicopter company. The cabin is very nice, hot tub, big terrace, big room, dressing room and bathroom. Excellent food and a great staff. We hiked all over and thoroughly enjoyed...

We arrived within a 20 minute helicopter ride from Queenstown to the Minaret Station lodge which is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by snowy mountains. The location is remote and gives the guest the opportunity to connect with the nature by hiking to the beautiful waterfall and the river where the water is so pure that you can drink it....

Lovely family or couple rooms, each with own spa. In house chef. A spectacular helicopter transfer from Queenstown with snow landing. Only access is helicopter. You really are away from it all. Not a lodge of Huka, Kidnappers, Blanket Bay refinement - more rustic. Still lovely service and a truly unique environment.
