My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Te Wanaka Lodge! It was a very well presented lodge with very warm rooms, lovely home cooked breakfasts and a spa pool for the cold nights where we could enjoy a glass of wine. It was also in a prime location with 3 minutes walking distance to the main streets of Wanaka. To top it all off the staff were beyond lovely, Wayne went out of his way to make us feel right at home. We would highly recommend Te Wanaka Lodge, it made our holiday so special! Thanks!

Olivia, we loved the opportunity to meet and host you at Te Wanaka Lodge. Glad you enjoyed Waynes service and yes a glass of wine in the hot tub is the best thing to do here! Until next time

We stayed for 2 nights in the garden cottage in temperatures of 30 degrees. Although quite spacious with mini kitchen facilities it was quite dark as you needed the blinds half closed for privacy and the windows only opened part way for security so there was very little air.
The location was good with access to all that Wanaka has to offer and we were able to park either outside the property or in the public car park behind. The staff were helpful and friendly, the communal areas were nice (comfy chairs in the lounge) and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the dining room. Breakfast was buffet style with a cooked option made to order. Everywhere was spotless.
Although I didn’t go into the bedrooms they might be more light and airy than the cottage when the weather is hot.

I couldn’t recommend Te Wanaka Lodge more. Myself and my girlfriends spent a fabulous evening at the lodge last weekend. I have never felt so welcome at an accommodation before. Everyone was so friendly, genuine and hospitable. The rooms are warm, comfortable and well equipped, the hot tub is warm and private perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Our breakfast in the morning was beyond expectations and of gourmet quality. Our car were even defrosted for us to make sure our journey home was safe. Absolutely 5 star ⭐️. I will be back, thanks again for a tremendous stay 😀

Turned up with no reservation on two different occasions last week and got a room both times! Rooms are quite small but very nice and cosy, clean and comfortable. Cosy little lounge with fire, big dining area where breakfasts in the morning are served - continental style with cooked option (we had bacon & eggs one time and hot cakes the other - both wouldn't have been out of place in a classy restaurant). Didn't test it out but there is a hot tub too.

This was one of our favorite places we stayed during our time on the South Island. The lodge is precious, with a welcoming and friendly staff. It was in walking distance to the city center, so moving around town was very easy. We loved the garden area, and the hot tube that was great on the chillier nights. Would definitely recommend this place, and we would stay there again.

Highly recommend Te Wanaka Lodge. We stayed 1x night for a friends birthday/girls weekend on an awesome deal which included bed and breakfast, bike glendu day pass, drink at Maude tasting room. I personally didn't use the bike glendu day pass but Wayne emailed it to me to use another time which was an unexpected bonus. Great spa and amazing breakfast of scrambled eggs and salmon, fruits, yoghurts, cereals. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

This was a basic motel room and didn't even have any facilities for tea & coffee. This was all provided in the main building. To get to the main building you had to go outside, down a narrow metal staircase and cross an alleyway between the buildings. We were there during the storm that caused Wanaka to flood, so doing this journey just for a cup of tea was awful. It was the same journey for breakfast. Breakfast was a very small choice of cereal & toast. The hostess offered a cooked option each day but it was a 'take it or leave it' no choice was offered. There was a communal lounge & TV room in the main building.

Thank you so much for choosing Te Wanaka. Sorry that you stayed during the flooding of Jan 2020. It was certainly unseasonal to have that weather. Yes due to our cosy rooms, we offer the breakfast along with afternoon tea and tea and coffee facilities in our lodge dining room. We hope the weather cleared for you and that you enjoyed visiting our beautiful country

The room had few frills and is general basic accommodation. The staff were friendly and welcoming and there are adequate facilities with a very pleasant breakfast room serving cold and hot food. Located close to the town the rooms on the road may be a little noisy.

Thanks so much for staying, im delighted you found our team friendly and welcoming. Yes we have cosy rooms at the lodge, and being central we do occasionally get some noise. The 100m stroll to the village centre though is very convenient.

Te Wanaka Lodge is a centrally located hotel within 300m of the town center on foot. Rooms are just spacious enough to stay with luggage but a bit tight. There is a shared kitchen, fireplace and relax area within the complex where you are given a cooked breakfast. Breakfast a little on the light side but good enough. This shared space is quite spacious and hospitable. Great value for money.

Quaint lodge, the team went to extra effort to provide a ready made portacot and cuddly toy for my daughter (which was so lovely of them). Unfortunately windows don’t have fly screens so we had to keep them shut to avoid bugs getting in, which made the room really stuffy and hot. Room doesn’t have air-conditioning but reception was helpful and provided a pedestal fan. Breakfast was homely and staff were extremely friendly. Would recommend.
