Detailed Reviews
We were greeted by mark who was friendly and welcoming . He gave us lots of information about things to do and where to go.
The unit was clean and large. It had an air conditioning unit in the lounge, which we did not have to use.
It was very light and airy with large windows which allowed a lot of air in to cool the rooms if necessary.
Good range of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment
Shower was powerful and clean. The bed was very comfortable
Free parking was a bonus
It takes about 25 mins to walk into town , where there are large number of restaurants or a 5 minute drive with loads of parking , although we were there over a weekend so the parking was restricted as Wanaka was very busy

This is a great Motel to stay at in Wanaka. Mark the owner was really helpful and accommodating. The unit was roomy and clean and had everything I needed for a really relaxing stay. During the day through the hottest part of the day it was a great place to relax in the cool of the room and reset for more hiking in the later afternoons. It's close to town and supermarket as well as all the good restaurants on the shore front. I'm definitely keen to visit again!

Very nice little house, simple, everything tidy, very clean and functional! Super friendly and nice owner.
Perfect for couples or families just 1.4km from the main area of Wanaka and with all the main amenities.
Another important point, each house has its own private parking

Upon checking in, the staff at the counter expressed dissatisfaction with our use of booking.com, and suggested for us to upgrade to a different room with an additional cost which we politely declined. He then proceeded to cite concerns about the commission fees that booking.com takes from them and mulled about how we shouldn't have booked through them.
If commissions are an issue, perhaps they should reconsider listing on such platforms instead of projecting their dissatisfaction onto their guests.
On our second day, there was a power outage from 10 AM to 4 PM, resulting in no heat or Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, there was no sincere apology or explanation offered during this inconvenience.
We were then charged a $300 incidental fee for a stain on a chair that was ALREADY present when we arrived. Despite emailing them to request an invoice and explaining the situation, our request for any additional details were denied as we had no 'photo proof'.
So in light for future guests staying in room 5, please be aware of a round watermark on one of the chairs. Make sure to document it to avoid getting potentially charged for something you didn't do..
Overall, it was a distasteful experience.

Avoid at all costs. After check out you receive to your surprise an additional charge. In our case it was for $150 for additional cleaning (approximately half the cost of the night). We left the motel room tidy. The charge is just fictional and the response from the owner Mark is laughable. He is smug and dishonest.

Travelocity said I needed to contact Manuka to request a refund. Manuka said I should contact Travelocity. A total run around and HORRIBLE customer service on both ends. Avoid Manuka and definitely AVOID TRAVELOCITY!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Manuka Crescent Motel and really enjoyed our
stay there. Mark, the owner, made us feel welcome and provided us with information about the area. Thank you Mark; we hope to return before leaving the South Island.

Very accommodating and friendly host. We were on two motorcycles and he kindly let us have the front unit with hard standing parking. He pointed out places of interest and things to do in the area.
The unit was clean and tidy with plenty of space.
Comfortable bed, shower over the bath but great pressure.

Stayed here in January 2020 for a night. The room was clean and spacious. Good amenities in the room and bathroom. Staff was very helpful. I asked for late checkout and they agreed without any charges. The room had kitchenette with microwave and hob, plus utensils. The room did not have aircon so it was kinda hot as It’s summer in NZ. But rest was all good.
The only thing I found bit concerning is -they take down your credit card (for security) details and write it on your reg card, not sure how safe this is.

I would contact the owner direct. There is some parking in the motel complex (but not sure it would accommodate a campervan) and some street parking.
I don't think this motel would be suitable,as there are no views, and a good way from the town.Hope this helps.
