Detailed Reviews

Check in was great, the lady on reception was super nice and helpful. I was staying in a basic cabin - basically just a bed, small table and chairs, towels, a fan and a heater. They have pot boxes with everything you need for the kitchen available to hire for free. Every other holiday park I've stayed at charged money and a bond for these, so that was awesome. They will also provide you with tea/coffee and fresh milk. I was also delighted to discover electric blankets on the bed! Nice to toast it up a bit before you jump in, the bed was comfy and the covers were warm. There was also a blanket if needed.
The park itself is lovely and quiet, away from the hubbub of town and seemingly protected from the wind. Super spacious too - it was the only stay of my entire trip that I wasn't a bit anxious about getting a park/fitting into my park/someone else blocking my park. You have all the grassed area to park next to the cabin, as well as a picnic table and outdoor chairs on your little deck. Cabin 2 is mere steps away from the shared facilities so super easy to pop over to the bathrooms or get some boiling water for a tea. Despite being so close to the facilities it was pretty quiet, other than the odd group of people talking as they walked past, all I could hear was the birds and the wind. So peaceful. There are semi-obscured views down to the lake and also beautiful mountains behind you.
It's a short walk down into town, the park's location is also closer to Mt Aspiring National Park so you don't need to drive back through town to head off for a hike, which is nice!
The bathrooms were nice and warm, showers had ample dry space for your stuff, and 2 communal hairdryers. The laundry was amazing! The nicest laundry I've come across in my travels, machines in good working order and the whole area was just clean and well presented.
I particularly liked the number of hooks at this park - that sounds so random but hooks are so simple yet so handy, especially when you're travelling! There were lots of hooks in my cabin, and lots in the bathrooms. It just seemed like a very thoughtful extra touch by the park owners.
There is also a car wash and vacuum bay.
The price was really good for my little cabin, I was very comfortable and would definitely stay here again or recommend to friends and family.

Never stayed at a Holiday Park before. We got a great studio room (No 2), and it was amazingly quiet with a lovely lawn in front. Bed was comfortable, staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. Quite a few rules about no visitors at certain times etc but we liked the peace that provides. Parking spots are laid out for each unit and there is no chance of your vehicle being damaged by the one parked next to it. We will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay in Wanaka Top 10. As a family for four we stayed in cabin 3. The cabin was very tidy and beds were comfy. The facilities were modern, clean and all inclusive no need for coins to run the shower. The grounds were well layed out so even though the park was at capacity you didnt feel cramped. We will definitely be back again.

The motel units are very well equipped with a full kitchen including an oven and all utensils needed and a separate bedroom and comfy couch and chairs. The bed was comfy though the pillows were somewhat hard and the shower was very hot and strong. The units are at the front of the park overlooking a grassy area with long views to the lake. Parking is immediately outside. We understand that there is a drying room for ski gear and storage for equipment but we did not use these. It was very quiet and walkable down to the lake front and if you don't mind a longer walk, into town. They have a commendable recycling program (including a compost bin for scraps provided). Staff are very friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to stay here. We booked a two-bedroom cabin for the two of us because that was the only option available. It was extremely clean, well-stocked, spacious and comfortable. The uninterrupted views of the town and the lake from our elevated vantage point were impressive.
The reception staff at this hotel are next-level good. They are so welcoming and caring...felt like we were visiting family. We were sad to say goodbye to them. They are on top of everything...they are a big part of the smooth-running of this location. The owners are very lucky to have them. We left our lunches in the refrigerator by accident when we left. We received an email (thank you Julie) saying they were keeping our food should we be able to return to collect it. Very kind. Very impressive
We really enjoyed the hikes available from this property. We wish we could have extended our stay to enjoy more time.
Thanks to every team member for a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay.

I stayed Friday/Saturday it was cold in Wanaka but my room was very warm, eventually I had to turn the heating down so I could sleep. Everything was very clean and tidy , the bed was comfortable. The other amenities were very modern and clean. The camp is close to town, by car less than 5mins and is very quiet, no traffic noise. The staff were very friendly and obliging, there was good parking for my car, I got a discount because I have a top 10 card, happy to stay again for next year’s birthday party

Perfect stay for 2 nights - room was large & spacious, kitchenette was well equipped with crockery, glassware etc, bathroom was huge and offered shampoo, body wash. Excellent views to the mountains from the little verandah or picnic benches.
Staff were very friendly in explaining their efforts for recycling, servicing of rooms and composting - great to see tourist accommodation go to this level!!
Location was a little out of town but perfect walking distance for us along the water and very doable.
I would definitely stay here next time.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Wanaka Top 10 Holiday Park! We had a one bedroom apartment, and it far exceeded our expectations. It was exceptionally clean and new-looking. The kitchen was well-supplied so we could cook if we liked, including quite a large fridge. The location is also close enough we could walk into town to sightsee or get food or a drink at one of the places there. It was fantastic to be able to walk and not have to deal with parking in the CBD. The little porch area was great for relaxing with coffee or a meal, and had a lovely view over the lake and surrounding mountains. Overnight was so, so quiet. It was also wonderful they have a private spa with a jacuzzi and sauna that you can book. After a day of walking it was a treat to relax in the hot tub! Overall, we loved our stay here and I only wish we'd have been able to stay longer!

Got in fairly late and the very friendly reception staff said there was one spa booking left which was in 5 mins, it was a b it off a rush but well worth it.
You get a whole spa and sauna booked to yourselves for an hour, it was a lovely 39 degrees and there is a lovely view.
The park facilities are pretty good, the spots and roads are a little tight for campers but it worked fine for us.
I was concerned about how out of town the park seemed but we caught cabs which came quick and were only $15 each way.
The kids loved waking up and seeing rabbits bouncing around

The accomodation was clean, modern, thoughtfully laid out with an access to the grouds behind the room. It had a separate bin for recycling, eko-friendly toiletries etc. The room was spacious and comfortable, my husband especially appreciated good light for shaving in the bathroom, which is often a problem in similar accomodations.

Hi there, Feel free to look at the Lake Wanaka website to see what is on for events
Hi there, you can book live on our website, thanks Lauren
Not necessary. Park offers standard room. Or, your campvan should have everything.
We stayed in a chalet so I am not sure what the toilet shower facilities are like but Lauren was so helpful when we stayed I am sure she will help you anyway she can. I would definitely stay here if I ever get back to Wanaka
