We stayed here for one night while passing through wanaka. We spent 3 weeks travelling in NZ and staying in a variety of hotels/motels, unfortunately this was one of the lower quality places but still more expensive than most. Rooms really need renovated or price should be lowered. Would look for something else next time.

We had three nights in the Archway Motel. Our chalet offered roomy accommodation with a comfortable bed, separate shower & toilet, useful kitchenette. A laundry was available and successfully used. Car parking is adjacent to the chalet. A patio offers a pleasant area to eat outside. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff but motel units are tired and in need of renovation. Windows are metal framed and insecure and bathroom was of cheap quality with old fittings. Bed was comfortable and room had necessary amenities for a one night stay. We have been moving around South Island for the best part of a month and are therefore aware of what an average standard is. This motel does not reach that standard but I cannot fault the staff.

Great open plan room for 3 adults with enough space for all and everything you need. Beds particularly comfortable. Great location for walking to lakefront, cafe's and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here during a conference in one of the studio rooms. It does everything you need from a motel really. Two heaters in the room ensured winter didn't bite hard inside, new smart TV was nice, but best of all, the owners recently purchased new mattresses and pillows. And I've gotta say, the best pillows and mattress I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. They put some 5 Star places to shame. The kitchenette was well fitted out, and the motel's an easy walk to town too. To cap it off, the owners were just lovely too and really rounded out the whole package. Great price, really well furnished, friendly service. I'll be coming back.
