1 block back from main restaurant bar area and water front, literally a two minute walk through a walk way. In our mind could not be a better location. Good room as we have found with several Bella Vista motels clean no problems. They lady at reception was absolutely delightful and although we had checked out let us use the motels courtesy bicycles the following day to cycle around for a couple of hours.
Was one of the more expensive motels we stayed in our short tour around the area I note prices have come down and are now more on par with other places,
Location and going the extra mile with the bikes pushes it to excellent.

Bella Vista is superbly located in the centre of town with lots of car parking close to the rooms. We opted to not have a daily clean. The supermarket, food vans, and cinema are within close walking distance. Our room was clean and quiet and the staff helpful.

I booked a studio for the two of us, but because of its small size it was really more suitable for one person. There was nowhere to store the cases. We decided to dine in but there was only one chair at the small table. These factors added to the price paid, which I think was too much for what it offered, results in a low rating.

We only stayed one night but when we checked in the staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The room was very tidy and comfortable We were even able to do some washing due to them having a small laundry for patrons. Very close to the waterfront. Would recommend.

We had a great stay here, although it was just one night. We were able to check in early and the staff at reception were super helpful. The room was small but still just big enough for our bags. The room was tidy, well maintained and clean. The bathroom was nice. They also had big bottles of the Natural Earth shampoo, conditioner and shower gel which was really nice to use.

A great location and fantastic facilities. The room was very comfortable and had all the cooking facilities that we needed. A large room with comfortable beds. The location meant only walking was needed to enjoy the local restaurants.

We spent one night at the Bella Vista Wanaka which is an easy walk to the town waterfront and restaurants and shops. We appreciated the dinner recommendation (Francesca's Italian) from the reception and also were grateful to have a washer/dryer on site. The room was clean and had a small kitchenette with both a microwave and a toaster.

The Bella Vista is good to stay at as is centrally located. Room very clean comfortable bed, good shower, had small fridge tea and coffee making. Had small table with chairs. There is also a guest laundry and drying room for those who went skiing

We booked into this motel whilst driving the same day to Wanaka so were grateful for a room which we were charged $163 for. It was extremely small, in fact claustrophobic, but adequate for an overnighter. Everything supplied seemed the bare minimum. The bed was ok but I have to agree with other comments that the flashing smoke alarm is annoying to sleep under. This motel is basicly a building and a full carpark. Its right in the town so the bonus was being able to walk to a restaurant for dinner. Check my other review for the amazing meal we had at Tititea Steakhouse.

Part of NZ tour with Tailfinders. Room was very small but had all the facilities we needed. Room was on ground floor level so easy to get our luggage from the car in the off road car park. But cars could park right up to your window which meant it didn't feel private. Also a locked door separated the room from next door so we could hear the neighbours. Proprietor was friendly and helpful but only there certain times of the day. However we didn't spend much time in the room so it was ok. Don't know the price as it was part of a package but I think it was quite cheap so good value. Shops, restaurants and the lake were close by.
