We decided to elope in New Zealand and found Wanaka to be picture perfect. The Beacon Lodge was the perfect place to spend our wedding weekend. Drive up the long driveway and arrive at a perfectly landscaped home with a direct view of the lake and mountains. Walk into the interior courtyard and the scent from the rosemary shrub fills the air. Your room is private, filled with sunlight and offers the same beautiful view from both inside your room and as you sit on your patio. Lavender is planted all around the house and smells wonderful! And don't forget the tennis court and spa available for your use. And the delicious breakfasts....heaven.
B&B hosts can make all the difference and Rosie and Steve were some of the best. We felt like part of the family during our stay and even sat down with them over a few glasses of wine one evening. Rosie even offered to do a load of laundry while we stayed there. The room was spotless and felt very luxurious. We even contemplated extending our stay and would have if we didn't already have activities planned that we couldn't cancel.
If you are considering getting married in Wanaka, definitely consider staying here. It's worth every penny! Rosie and Steve were especially accommodating - allowing my hair and makeup ladies to come to the house and do their thing on our wedding day. By coincidence, our wedding celebrant, Caitlin, is their son's partner (she's great! highly recommended!).
We are looking forward to our return stay as a future anniversary trip. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

We arrived in beautiful Wanaka after a tiring drive down the west coast and wound our way up the hill to Rosie and Steve's haven. It then just got better. Their home has the most amazing setting overlooking the mountains to the west with the sun setting beyond. It then became sublime when we were invited to use the hot tub and Steve offered a beer. I'm in heaven!!! The room and bathroom were luxuriously appointed with no detail overlooked. A top quality B&B. Thank you.

Real eggs...say no more!

View over Wanaka Lake from this fabulous B&B is simply stunning, but this is matched by the tremendous hospitality of Steve and Rosie. Rooms are just lovely with everything you could possibly need.
We arrived and immediately enjoyed the huge hot tub over looking the mountains, with a glass of wine kindly offered by Rosie.
We wondered into Wanaka for dinner, and accepted the lift back to the house, offered by Steve.
If I could give 6 stars I would!!

Beacon Lodge... absolutely spectacular! A beautiful oasis in Wanaka, so peaceful and tranquil, the view of the lake and the mountains from our room left us speechless. A wonderful breakfast provided by Rosie each morning with all the trimmings. Thank you so much Rosie and Steve for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

Rosie and Steve gave us an amazing welcome to their home. We could enjoy all their facilities, and particularly enjoyed a couple of evening dips in their hot tuub, with beautiful views over the lake and mountains, prior to suppers on the veranda watching amazing sunsets. They were both so helpful with our holiday plans, and Rosie's breakfasts were great, as were their rooms, garden and everything else.

Steve and Rosie could not be better hosts. Whilst a little out of the main centre, they drop you off and pick you up and most importantly make you feel welcome in their magnificent home. Wanaka is an amazing place and beacon lodge I cannot recommend highly enough.

My husband and I eloped in New Zealand and spent three weeks experiencing the beautiful country. We were only in Wanaka for two and a half days, but couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and have beautiful patios with a view. Felt the cooked breakfasts could have been better for the price, but they were plentiful and the hosts were very nice.

My wife and I spent two nights at Beacon Lodge and we could have easily spent two weeks. Rosie and Steve were perfect hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. Our room was very comfortable!. The home is a very short drive from the center of Wanaka(2-3 minutes). We enjoyed sitting on the patio outside our bedroom door and enjoying a beautiful view of Lake Wanaka. Quiet, beautiful, spacious, in short perfect stay, perfect hosts. Thank you Rosie and Steve.

I would try asking on the business's website, where you can inquire about bookings.
