We stayed here for only one night but we packed in a lot for our short visit. The hosts Rachel and James had us set up early so we were able to get settled in and relaxed after a full on day in Wanaka. The hot pool was a welcome delight for our tired legs and we enjoyed this treat before heading off to Wanaka for dinner. Rachel and James are wonderful hosts and very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommended stay. Thank you.
We enjoyed a longer stay at Riverview Terrace. which has superb views and well appointed rooms. The location is perfect for exploring Wanaka and the surrounding area, as well as being within walking distance of Mt Iron, Clutha river, and a wonderful local patisserie. Everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay is provided as well as thoughtful extras. We particularly enjoyed the bikes, table-tennis, and watching the stars from the spa. 100% recommended.
We spent a night at Nikki and James's house. They were very welcoming, gave us great recommendations and the most amazing breakfast. The room itself was comfortable and quiet, the house luxurious. Our room was just a few steps away from the outside hot tub which was a blessing in such cold and rainy weather. The views were super! Overall such a great experience. Will definitely be back!
We had a brilliant time. The bed and breakfast was awesome. The views across the mountains were incredible and the hosts were lovely. They arranged a brilliant wine tour for us, and the free bikes were an added bonus. The breakfast was delicious too. I would 100% recommend it.
We had originally planned to begin our South Island tour with a few days in Queenstown. Friends in Melbourne suggested Wanaka instead as our base and so we duly booked in at Riverview Terrace. We had some concerns initially about being outside the town but it proved very easy to get taxis to and from the property. In fact it was nice to come back to such an island of calm. Riverview Terrace is in a beautiful location with wonderful views. We had the lovely Pisa room with its wide outlook. James and Nicky were very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Our days started off with a lovely breakfast and for dinner we were more often than not drawn to Relishes in Wanaka which offered truly imaginative food beautifully prepared. We were lucky to have beautiful weather all the time we were there and would love to go back some day. Much to be recommended.…
