Excellent accommodation. Super staff. Delicious food. Dinner prepared by a young chef who brought in the ingredients and prepared a delicious meal while we chatted with fellow guestd. Recommended as a must stay if visiting this part of NZ. Private patios and beautiful gardens just 2 of the many bonuses.
Super nice place! This hotel is just outside of town, nice and peaceful grounds. Our room was huge! Large sitting area, small kitchen area (fridge), a separate bedroom (somehow we ended up with a room with 2 bedrooms) and a large bathroom with tub. There were also 2 outside sitting areas and we could pick where we wanted to sit based on whether we wanted to sit in the sun. We didn’t plan on eating dinner there, but I highly recommend it. It sounded a bit fancy for us, private cook, etc. but it ended up being a really nice meal and we didn’t have to leave this beautiful location. I have multiple food sensitivities and they made it seem like absolutely no big deal. The same person also cooked our breakfast in the morning. The staff was very helpful with making reservations and helping you figure out what to do with your day. I highly recommend this lodge.…
This is a well run facility and one of the nicer units we stayed at. Our "hosts" were very friendly and chatted freely. Like many accommodations on the South Island, no AC, but we did have a fan. (although lack of screens on most of the windows/doors). Room/bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good, with hot items cooked to order. Pool was fine (not heated), but many bees there. Didn't use Hot Tub. Although they have laundry available, it was $30 a load (whereas other places we went to were free or $4-5).
The staff was so friendly and helpful, it was a delight to stay at Lime Tree Lodge. We stayed in one of the four single rooms, which was elegant but maybe a little cramped. Next time, we'll reserve a suite. The breakfasts were hearty and graciously served. After breakfast, I enjoyed lounging on one of the leather-upholstered couches in the living room and reading the newspaper on my laptop. Each room has a porch facing the well-manicured lawn, with a couple chairs and a table. Nice. But the rooms are adjacent to each other, and if your neighbor is conversing in more than whispers ... it might be disturbing.
We stayed at Lime Tree Lodge for 2 nights whilst on a 3 week tour of the south island and this was one of my favourite places. From the moment we arrived we were looked after and you can tell the team here really want your stay to be perfect. The property is a little way out of Wanaka. This meant it is quieter than being in town and you are surrounded by fields, animals, birds and peace and quiet. WONDERFUL. Our suite was beautiful with doors opening up onto the lawn - it had everything you could want whilst on holiday. Each evening there were complimentary canapes and drinks - while we were there these were hosted by Lisa. She was so lovely, chatty and willing to help however she could. It was a fabulous opportunity to meet other people staying at Lime Tree Lodge - like one big happy family all sitting around the fire talking. On our first night we were tired so decided to have dinner at the property - what a fantastic decision. The food was sensational and we sat around the big dining table chatting to another couple staying there. On the second day we ate out at lunchtime so only wanted nibbles in the evening. We decided to sit by the pool and Lisa was so kind to keep coming out and checking on us to see if we needed anything (she even brought us canapes and wine). A fabulous place to stay - would highly recommend.…
