We stayed in Twizel for Sealy Tarns, and Hooker Valley tracks. Only took about 40mins to get out there. (Go early, it gets busy. We did these over 2 days, we had both tracks done by 11am each day and headed back). Couldn't be happier with this place. We stayed in the King Deluxe - one bedroom. It was modern and tidy. Comfy bed, nice hard shower pressure. The unit we booked also had a Washing Machine, and Fridge Freezer. This was such a luxury, and it was well utilised. Thankfully it also had a good Air Con/Heat Pump. It was quite hot so this was a life saver especially at night. Location so handy and close to everything. Wifi was good, bonus was a Netflix subscription. Communication good and check in/out easy. Exceeded expectations and we will definitely be re-booking when we return, and letting others know about this place.…
We coud not fault the place. It was clean, had all the amminties we required for a two night stay. The apartment was just accross the road from the shops and restuarants. Rachel our hostess could not do enough for us. She was amazing.
A slight hiccup on check in was very promptly resolved by the super friendly owner. Perfect location to everything you could need .Comfortable clean room with great facilities. A small room but appointed very well and sized great.
34 Mackenzie Apartments was perfect for our stop over in Twizel. We stayed in the backpackers cottage, which was clean, spacious, had a comfortable bed and couch and had a wonderful k-cup coffee maker with great coffee! The only thing "backpackers" about this was the price. The apartments are in town and across the street from a market and various restaurants and cafes. Twizel was a cute town and great place to stay. I would most definitely recommend staying at the 34 Mackenzie Apartments if you are in the area.
What a surprise! Such a beautifully laid out apartment, clean and super cosy. Close to all amenities, supermarket, restaurants etc. The color scheme and layout has given me inspiration for my own home renovations A+++
