The best resort in the pacific, white sandy beaches, a beach bar, restaurant overlooking the beautiful beach waterfront, quiet and secluded. I went with my niece and it was a great luxurious resort for R n R, ie total relax!! But I did think it was also a perfect paradise set for romance with your loved one, privacy with the beautiful bures and the space to spend time together. The showers in the bure are very roomy and so nice! I will keep that it mind for my next visit to Navutu with my partner, its definately a favourite holiday escape to return to. I loved the staff, they welcomed us with beautiful smiles and made us feel at home and were friendly. Loved they knew our names and their personalised service made the experience amazing!! They definately make the resort experience awesome. The best island paradise hidden away in Fiji. I have many fond memories. Look forward to when I return, it really is an unforgettable haven, even now when I think of it, my happy place. Vinaka vaka leu Navutu Stars :).

Hotel's Favourite
We had such an amazing time at Navutu Stars. The staff were fantastic. I think there are about 6- 8 Bures (a couple per Bure) so the number of guests is capped at a low number and the staff get to know your names and personalise the experience. One night there was a traditional feast and dancing and we had so much fun. But you also have lots of space, privacy and time to just spend time with your partner. It's quite romantic. You can just relax or be a bit more active. There are daily activities, some of which are free of charge (local snorkel, walk/tour to the village) and others of additional cost. They are opt in so you can tailor your holiday to what you want. The beach is paradise - we used the doughnut tubes, paddle board and kayaks - you can take them out at anytime (also free of charge). Clear water and a really nice temperature. There's a pool but we were in the beach water everyday so didn't use it but other guests did whilst we were there. The rooms are very spacious and have that Greek island white polished concrete type vibe. Very clean. Each night they make your room up whilst you are at dinner to prepare it for bed. Each Bure has it's own private front yard area with a large hammock and day beds. We were very sad to leave. I was 3 months pregnant and the staff were very accomodating and i was able to manage this pretty easily whilst on the island. A few tips to note if travelling to Fiji for the first time (like we were) - meals are a bit more expensive on all the islands. This is reasonable and it costs more to serve food here than it does on mainland (apart from the fresh produce that is island sourced). - Nadi ('Nandi') on the mainland was not our vibe at all. We are in our 30s. Navutu Stars was SO peaceful and it was amazing just listening to the water in the evenings and during the day. In comparison Nadi was loud with lots of nightlife. - Denarau is the port where you can get the Yasawa Flier (boat) to Navutu stars and the other Yasawa islands. About 4.5 hrs from the port to Navutu Stars on the Yasawa Flier - there are much quicker ways to get there like helicopter but at a cost. We stayed a night in Denarau at the Hilton on the way back, before catching out flight the next day. This is a family friendly resort with everything you need - the type of place you just stay in the resort by the pool etc if you don't want to venture out and explore culture. - People don't really swim at the mainland beaches. The island beaches are STUNNING. - Remember even though this is a paradise resort, you are on an island in nature (although it's so comfortable). They have hot water showers in your bure but it's not the type of place you would go if you wanted a long hot bath - no baths (not sure why you would because the weather is generally very warm and you can soak in the beautiful clear salt water sea) or a very long shower. Instead you would be going to a resort at Denarau. Internet - it worked just fine for what we needed. Each couple is given a Dongle to use for their stay. Reception - my husband is with Telstra and could make and receive calls well in our 'front yard' and could but a bit choppy in the room. However we really tried to disconnect from technology but we were reachable. I only make these points as i've read other reviews of island stays that are a bit critical of things that i think are an obvious part of staying on a remote paradise type island. We are SO glad that we went to Navutu Stars. We loved it. It was so much nicer than the mainland in our experience. It was a paradise. We had such a great time and it was the perfect place to relax. We were very sad to leave. (Melbourne, Australia).

Thank you so much for taking care of us during our delightful stay over the New Year week Dolly. Dan may have thought he was boss, but it's very clear who's really the top dog at the resort. From overseeing the cava party on our first night (which was so much fun) and making sure everybody treated us like friends and family to captaining our boat excursions and canoe adventures - you made sure we had a wonderfully fun and relaxing stay. We can't wait to come back for more fun and sun with you and the wonderful team at Navatu Star! Bula!

Our first time at Navutu was November 2022. We were looking for seclusion and peace, to reconnect as a family, to go somewhere authentic and off the grid. We found that at Navutu. We were welcomed like old friends on arrival, we did as little or as much as we wanted from snorkelling, exploring nearby islands, massages, swimming, hiking, visiting the local village, shopping at the local shell markets, playing with Dolly the resort dog etc. It is secluded and private, with only around 30 guests being there at any given time, it is quiet. You get a chance to really meet and connect with the other guests and share your stories, especially at cocktail hour, which becomes the nightly meeting spot! The customer service is second to none, the Navutu family cater to your every need. The bures are lovely. I just don't have enough words to describe our experience, except, we went back again six months later and felt like we were at a family reunion! We were greeted by the same Navutu family (and Dolly waiting for our boat on the beach) who remembered us and were so happy to have us back again. We have met some lifelong friends on the island. We will return again and again xx

We took the family to Navutu Stars Resort in late 2022, loved it so much, we went back 6 months later! You know it’s going to be special when you’re greeted on the beach by the staff, singing, playing guitars, a complimentary coconut drink in hand, with Dan greeting you all with a “Welcome home”. Admittedly, I did initially think this was a spiel, but every single person on the beautiful Yaqeta Island makes you feel like family. The bures are just stunning and so cosy, the food is lovely, then after dinner you can sit at the bar and enjoy a drink from the wonderful duo of Pene and Wati. There are activities to do every morning and afternoon, some free, some you pay for, or you can just relax on a hammock and just take in the amazing scenery. From Varani in the office, to Agi and Grace giving massages, Pene at the bar, Wati just everywhere, Dolly the dog giving you SUP lessons, Dan steering the ship, and every other staff member there …. nothing is too much. Beautiful people. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back next year! Mick, April, Molly and Alex.

It's been over a year since we stayed at Navutu & we still talk about our experience there. Our travel agent recommended this place, and it was beyond what I had dreamed of when we planned our trip to Fiji. It's a true secluded tropical paradise nested on a beautiful island in the Yasawa's. The rooms were spacious & well maintained, the staff was incredibly welcoming & helpful, food was great...and the snorkelling was unreal! It was also one of the best value places we stayed at during our trip.

This island only has a handful of bures on it and is adults only so it's already a slice of paradise. With friendly staff who all know your name and go out of their way to look after you, it was easy to get on "Fiji time" and relax. There were stunning sunsets, interesting wildlife to watch, friendly pet dogs, good snorkelling nearby, the Lovo was a fun experience, and it truly felt like home for the time I was there. It's so easy to find peace and solitude here, which was just what I was after. Thank you for the wonderful holiday. Things to note: - If you come by boat, you'll spend half of your day travelling, which can be time consuming and not great if you get sea sick. Had I have realised that the trip was so long (4-4.5 hours one way), I would have considered the helicopter. - Breakfast is the same each day, lunch options are the same, and dinner will have limited options but change daily. Food is relatively expensive compared to the mainland but you are on an island in the middle of nowhere, so is to be expected. I found the food simple but above average so satisfactory. - There are morning and afternoon activities available, most of which will cost extra. Yes, there are some free of charge activities as well, but note that the "better" experiences like turtle spotting, cave visits, and better snorkelling spots will cost. Activities also rotate throughout the week, so the longer you stay, the more variety you will have and the more you will experience (if you wish to participate). I did quite a lot and enjoyed them all. - Your room will be cleaned and tidied twice daily, which was nice. - Even during winter, there were mosquitos, so bring repellant. Being from New Zealand, I found the air and water temperatures still hot. - There were rodents in the roof of my bure at night, which rustled and also made some of the material fall down on my bed, which wasn't ideal to say the least. Management attempted to deal with the situation when I raised it with them. - I had a few other issues as well that had to be raised with management, and they did their best to correct things which I appreciated, so I would still recommend this place to others as it was an overall great experience.

The people made the resort wonderful. We were paid full attention to… Getting us fresh lemon, and ginger tea every morning. Excellent food, service, and tropical drinks and smoothies from our wonderful bartender . Special shout out to our wonderful waiter and friend… Queen Mary I love to visit with him and hear all the stories of the islands… they even did a special dance for us at the cava ceremony. special massages were wonderful in a beautiful spa by the sea. All the workers were friendly and accommodating… Singing us in with a welcome song, and singing us out with a Goodbye song. We had tears in our eyes to leave but we will return again. The location of the resort was wonderful. Private enough with only 10 beautiful, cottages., But enough activities to keep us busy. I would recommend staying for a week if possible. Our visit to the village and attending church, and having the church children’s choir come to sing to us at the resort was one of our highlights . If you can bring gifts for all the people and the children. It did take a four hour ferry ride to get there, which was very scenic. Many flew in on helicopter but that’s a more expensive option. We met many wonderful friends from all over the world and had a wonderful time. Thank you to the staff at Navutu stars resort, Maureen and Alan.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 6-night stay at Navutu Stars in December 2023. December is winter in Seattle, WA, USA, and were so excited to soak in the sun and warm weather. After more than 20 hours of traveling, we were welcomed with a beautiful Fijian song and fresh coconuts by the staff. Dan, gave us a great introduction to the activities and spaces at Navutu and we settled in to our beachfront bure. We felt well-rested after one night of deep sleep and a good dinner. The food was amazing. We went for the half board/option 2, which includes a cooked breakfast and three course dinner (lunch a la carte) and it was a bit too much food for us. We wish we could have ate all of it! I would go for the first option, cooked breakfast and a la carte everything else. We were charmed by Wati and Lido’s excellent service. We also had some great conversations with the friendly bartender, Pene. All the staff were fantastic! The rooms were always very clean when we returned and the massages were so relaxing. We participated in 1-2 activities every day (highly recommend the caves and seahorse snorkeling) and always had something to do. There was also plenty of time to rest and read in our beachfront hammock. Dolly, the sweetest rescue dog, kept us company on swims, boat rides, and at meals (she doesn’t beg) and even saw us off at the end. We will recommend Navutu to our friends and hopefully return in the near future.
