We just spent another wonderful 2 weeks at Club Wyndham Resort in Denarau, Fiji and they are still setting the bar high. Your arrival is announced with a welcoming drum on the traditional Lali and a chorus of BULA's and "Welcome Home" from the friendliest staff on the island, which is really amazing considering how friendly the Fijian people are anyway. We opted to stay in what they call an original Garden View room but we still manage to have ocean glimpses from our balcony. These rooms are well appointed and exceptionally maintained and cleaned. All the units are Apartment style. There is a selection of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms all with Kitchens and Laundry’s in them. There is also a selection of Restaurant’s and Café’s as well as in room service. For variety you can even visit one of the other Resort's restaurants as there are a number within walking distance. You can also walk or catch the Bula bus from the resort into the port precinct where this is more eating and shopping outlets to choose from. Part of staying at the resort is attending one of the owner’s updates and sale presentations. I have to admit this was one of the most enjoyable presentations I have attended in a while, well worth the time. The resort offers plenty of activities for kids and adults alike. The Owners drinks held each Wednesday for an hour was lots of fun and well attended. There is organised entertainment such as traditional cultural dancing. A Frog Race was also held with each frog auctioned off to raise money for charity. The money from the auction is used to help the children from some of the underprivileged local villages in Fiji. There are also a number of themed events through the week such as a traditional Lovo dinner at Mamacita's or a Buffet of traditional foods at the Beach Shack. There is provided entertainment through the week such a Fire Dancing, Karaoke and Live Band music to name a few. There is a large main pool which becomes the focal point for adults and kids alike during the day but there is also a more secluded adults only pool available if that is your preference, both have swim-up bars. Our timing was a bit off as we seem to coordinate our stay with the arrival of a Cyclone (Mal). The resort is well built to withstand cyclones. The staff are also well trained in what to do prior, during and after a cyclone. It was interesting to watch how they safely store all the poolside chairs and tables by chucking them into the pool. We were asked to stay in our rooms and not move about outside during the period of high winds which happen to occur through the night anyway. Fortunately the cyclone pass quite quickly and damage was minimal. They pretty much had everything operational again within a day, we all felt quite safe during the event. We would like to thank all the staff at Wyndham for their exceptional service and doing their best to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The only downside to our stay, it wasn’t long enough. We will be back. …

We stayed here at last minute because of the cyclone and it was the best end to our family holiday. The food was amazing , best lamb curry. At times things like coffee orders took 30min even if you were the only person being serviced . But it was absolutely amazing and one of the cleanest places we have stayed at.

Strange experience. We went to Port Denarau to buy tickets for a family day trip out to an island. We were told that we could purchase tickets from South Sea Cruises at a heavily discounted price if we spent 90 minutes doing a tour of Wyndham the next morning. They offered breakfast and a tour and we were told it was basically to show their premises as an ‘option’ next time we stayed in Fiji. We went along and quickly learnt it was a sales pitch to buy into timeshare. It was very intense and not what we expected. We wanted a day cruise for our family to enjoy, not pressure to purchase into timeshare! Anyway, we walked out after 100 minutes, no discounted cruise tickets, being very honest about our disinterest but were left feeling like this was tacky and a little unethical. We love Fiji but because of this experience, would avoid booking with Wyndham or South Sea Cruises. The experience wasted our precious family time, the Wyndham sales consultants time and if they had been honest at the Port about WHY we were going to Wyndham, this could have been avoided. So good from start to finish! We recently spent 7 nights here and had the best time. From the moment we stepped out of our transfer, to the moment we departed we were treated like family. Everyone was smiling, happy and the facilities are fantastic. As a young couple with no kids, we appreciated the adults only pool/bar, but must say the kids are very well cared for here. We had one meal at Chantara Thai (delicious) next door at the Radisson and found the place overrun by wild kids - we wondered if their kids activities weren’t as good? We ate and drank everyday and were lovingly cared for by darling Agnes and gorgeous Seko each time. We knew our days would start well when we saw these two at the Beach Shack with their warm (and cheeky) service. We also frequented the spa (lovely services) and found the prices very good. We stayed in the old wing and much prefer this space. We had a one bedroom apartment which would have been plenty big enough for four if we’d used the pulldown bed. Full kitchen, lounge room, and laundry - very handy for rinsing swimmers etc. We can’t wait to return and visit this place again!…

Me and my family have come to the wyndham denarau 6 times in the last 8years we just love it, the staff are amazing, so genuine and friendly. My daughter enjoyed hanging out with sala, maraea and mere at the free kids club and the energy and the passion the other staff members put in is just outstanding. Peni-wize, Erami, Mat, Zac, Isoa and ziggy I even took the time to learn everyone's name.

Club Denaru is an amazing resort located at the end of the strip with most of the other large resorts. It is super family friendly, the kids here are so well looked after with a kids club, activities, movie nights and the pool is fantastic offering a babies area, shallow end for younger - teens to play water sports and there is also an adults only pool. There are 2 large restaurants and food and drink service on the beach area. Our unit is a 2 bed, 2 bath ground floor unit, it is impeccable. The best thing about the Wyndham is their staff, super friendly and helpful.

Amazing resort! Club Wyndham was beautiful, the pools, bars and restaurants were fantastic and all the lovely staff were so friendly and happy and always so willing to help. My son loved the kids club and all the activities that they had organised - Millie was a stand out favourite for him! We would go back in a heartbeat!
