The Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, replete with live music and personalized touches that have charmed guests. While opinions on value and service vacillate, with some guests mentioning affordability and attentive staff, and others noting overpriced elements and slower service, the resort's prime location for relaxation is consistently praised.

Upon arrival at the Sheraton the entrance is grand, and the welcome warm as is expected from Fijian hospitality. The rooms are modern, well air-conditioned and if you get a beachfront room, views sensational. We are currently concluding a 13 day stay and have thoroughly enjoyed our time.
This is our 10th trip to Fiji, having always stayed at The Westin, and one year the Intercontinental. We wanted to return to Denarau and thought we’d give The Sheraton a try. Really glad we did as this experience was wonderful and once The Westin reopens, we’d have to think twice about rebooking with them or choosing The Sheraton. Tatavu was absolutely delicious, both the food and cocktails, and the live music really set the ambience. 28g was great for sandwiches, iced chocolates and coffees.
I would like to make special mention of Seri at 28g. We have had the pleasure of knowing this beautiful soul from our very first trip to Fiji 10 years ago. Her welcoming, warm demeanor is a true asset to your business. Her interactions with your patrons are truly priceless. She should be very well looked after, its people like her that have us coming back.
The reason for 4 stars and not 5 are due to two things. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Your welcome sheet says housekeeping finishes at 4pm, 5 days of our stay housekeeping didn’t attend until 4.30-5pm, frustrating when you return to your room, need a shower or want a lie down and the room isn’t done. Second reason is on the 21/12 you were holding two functions. As a business owner, I understand this is a great revenue stream and of high importance. This does not excuse staff/security guards to be rude to your paying guests when a function is happening, the whole thing was chaotic. We were out the front waiting for a Bula Bus to come and had a security guard abruptly stand right in my husbands face and raise his voice to move back. We weren’t actually in anyones way, and are a family of 3 with a young son minding our own business, the impression was as though we were about to impose some sort of security risk to the event, even though we were simply standing out the front for the bus to arrive. No need for that sort of treatment.

We had booked 2 nights at the hotel knowing we would actually be arriving early the morning of the second day on the flight from Los Angeles. I called a week prior to let them know and was assured that this was not uncommon. Nonetheless it was very pleasant to arrive at 0630 and be warmly greeted with "we've been expecting you". A short but intense burst of rain accompanied our arrival which resulted in one of the staff driving us to the unit which was appreciated.
The room was pleasant and well appointed although a towel was placed inside the door facing the sea which was obviously a testament to the power of the storms (this was just around the time the cyclone veered off before hitting Fiji).
We ate at the Island 619 for lunch (okay food, service a bit slow even for holiday time), the golf club restaurant for dinner (food excellent and service pleasant), and the Tatavu Grill for breakfast (food and service both excellent). One thing which North Americans need to expect is that a bottomless cup of coffee does not instantly arrive at breakfast but rather has to be requested and re-requested for a second cup (but it was very good coffee). Small point, not a problem.
In our experience it is when things don't go perfectly that hotels and the like can make or break it and in this case they made it. We arrived back from dinner on the one night we actually slept there and found a large puddle of water in the middle of the hardwood floor dripping from the ceiling (and presumably from the AC unit). We called the desk at 2130 and were impressed when the evening maintenance man arrived about 15 minutes later. Clearly knowing how the system worked he opened it up, found the problem (hose had come loose), remedied it, and asked when we would be out in the morning so it could be permanently fixed. Given that we were prepared to live uncomfortably without AC overnight this was a really great response and we were suitably impressed.
Overall a very pleasant stay; when we checked out we told them we had to sit in the lobby for a couple of hours before we went to the cruise port and we were (twice) offered water and asked if we needed anything else while we waited.

We just spend 7 nights at the Sheraton and would highly recommend this. The staff are amazing and always willing to help. There are two pools - one of which is adults only. There was plenty of seating with shade while we were there. They have two main onsite restaurants. The breakfast buffet was enormous and had so many different options. The restaurant is open aired so it was quite hot while we stayed. The restaurant also does a themed dinner each night and the amount of food at that buffet is also ridiculous! We were on our honeymoon so had the Kabana dinner which can be organised through their other restaurant Tatavu which was an amazing 5 course dinner. The room was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the air con worked amazingly. The location of the Sheraton is great with the Bula Bus taking you to the port but also other resorts in walking distance so that you can try their restaurants as well. They use the Westin Resort Day Spa and this was fantastic. My massage and facial was great. These rooms are open aired but have a ceiling fan above you so it is not hot while you have your treatment. Would 100% recommend staying here

Travelling back to back over the last four weeks where we stayed at Sheraton hotels throughout with exceptional service, Denarau location was nothing but disappointing. As Elite guest checking in the front desk didn’t know how to manage our reservations and request. Having two rooms with two different check out dates were mixed up. We approached the front desk 3 times to get it corrected but didn’t happen. Spoke with Sharrol manager on duty who assured us it was corrected and day of checkout both room keys didn’t work. Again went to the front desk who informed us it was never corrected. Felt like we were doing numerous follow up to get things corrected. Housekeeping, where do I start… day 1 everything was great, the next 4 days we found ourselves running after housekeeping to get towels. With rooms with 4 guest each they would only place two towels, no hand towels or mats. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash nothing replenished. It was a nightmare especially with children and coming back from swimming having to track housekeeping down. We did have the head of housekeeping come and apologize but this was the day before we were leaving. Pool services sucked. Zero service by the pool. You would have to wave staff down and they would look at you but finish their conversation and then come to you. Service was painfully slow! Our 5 day stay here was frustrating and exhausting. Majority of the time we found ourselves using facilities outside the hotel and eating out. I would give this place a 2 star rating it giving it a 3 due to the chefs who went out of their way to cater for a celebration dinner that had dietary requirements. There are a lot of operational gaps at this resort. Training and coaching is a concern but the management needs to step it up. There are SO many managers at each level that to get anything done you have to go through multiple people, which causes delays and frustration. Seems like their process is extremely micro managed. They need to empower employees to make decision to avoid customer service issues. I hope this location steps up their game and provide the same level of service that other Sheraton/Marriott properties do.

An old, tired hotel, not worth the money, birds shitting on your head right in the lobby, mosquitoes. Check-in is from 15.00 when the hotel is empty, but according to the manager, the all-inclusive package will be valid only from 11.00 the next morning. What are you paying for? In fact, all planes from Nadi leave early in the morning, it took us 23 hours to get to the hotel (net flight time), this is the 6th hotel on our honeymoon - definitely the worst. Previously, they often used Marriott group hotels for their stay due to compliance with standards throughout the world. There is no control here, standards are not respected. Fiji is the 56th country visited, Fiji Airways was a pleasure, the currency exchange and taxi services at the airport are very nice people and true professionals in their field. This is the only all-inclusive that did not provide the opportunity to use at least something before checking into the room, for example, get beach towels, put valuables in the hotel safe, eat or drink something... The Internet does not work either. It’s good that we took a local SIM card at the airport. So think hard about this, Marriott. 600 US dollars/night for a tortured 4 room is a very bad joke. We made a conclusion for ourselves - never go to Marriott again!

Everything was charged at an extortionate rate, we never had clean sheets the entire stay, beds were made up and not cleaned, i had to ask for water and extra towels one morning as none were provided. Biggest bug bare was a one thousand dollar bond was removed from my husbands account when we arrived on the 28th January and has still not been refunded. All water sports were super expensive with a jet ski 1hr hire at around £300 pounds. One dinner in the hotel for 4 adults and 3 children ages 4, 3 and 11 months was £359. Good job if you can afford this but having been eaten alive with mosquitoes and having an accident on a wet floor with no signage up and hurting my back we will not be back.

GREAT EXPERIENCE Just returned after spending 7 days at the resort celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. We have been to Fiji several times and generally stay at the Coral Coast but decided to try the refurbished resort for a change. There were a few negatives in that they are still gearing up for crowds so there are still some faults. The rooms themselves are lovely but we had gyprock dust on the back and front of our bathroom doors and this was never cleaned up. No info book in your room to help you navigate the resorts facilities and room service if you needed it or contact numbers. The resort advertises spa and massage services but you have to walk a fair distance to the Westin which is closed due to renovations to utilise this service. We had a package with My Fiji and the free golf costs $75F for 18 holes for hire of the clubs. Also, whilst the resort is very modern it does lack some of the Fijian charm by way of decor and entertainment. No beach massage but one available at the Radisson but we didn’t find out until the last day. But there are many plusses. With your choice of three eateries, the food was excellent. The buffet choices were endless and each night at Island 619 there was a different theme. The Tavatu whilst not changing its menu was delicious and you it is brought to you on the beach for lunch. 28G coffee bar for a small area was delicious and had quite a good range if you were not after a big lunch. The Tavatu was not cheap for dinner though, a 300 gram steak costing $250F. The rooms were very modern spacious and comfortable. The beach is cleaned every day and there a number of shops on site. There is even a Fiji Airways check in at the hotel which makes coming home a breeze. You check in your bags get your boarding pass and walk straight in at the airport, awesome. You need a PCR test within 72 hours of arriving from Australia and a clinic is right outside the hotel, very handy. But as people have said, the staff are AMAZING. From check in to cleaning staff to staff in restaurants, everybody greets you with a smile and of course a bula!!!! Jessica in 28G was delightful, Lia in Island 619 was always smiling. We had an issue in our room which was resolved very quickly by not one but 3 staff including managers and then we were treated to a free dinner in the Tavatu for compensation and they could not apologise enough, outstanding customer service. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the lady on the front desk who helped us initially but every day she would high 5 us and check that everything was okay. The housekeeping staff even decorated our bed on our anniversary and the staff in Tavatu presented us with a special dessert and sang to us, incredibly special and something we will never forget.

We didn't stay at the Sheraton, but went to Sega Na Leqa three times for their delicious fried chicken, which was only made better by the friendly, wonderful service from the team there. Ilisapeci remembered us each time we went, and nothing was a problem at all. One night we really wanted steamed rice with our chicken, and Ilisapeci and her team helped us arrange the rice through another Sheraton restaurant. The chicken is also cooked fresh - so it's not sitting there waiting in a baine marie - so when you order, they cook the chicken for you then. It means it's not as fast as a KFC, but it's freshly cooked and it's worth it. Loved the chicken and the people, and would definitely recommend you drop by if you're having a fried chicken craving. Thanks Ilisapeci!

The best resort on Denarau Is. Beautiful big entrance / foyer that stretches all the way through to the pool area and is dotted with water features, shops and cafes. There's even a virtual reality space called MindFlight7 where you can experience all sports, flight simulator and the ultimate in roller coaster rides. A traditionally dressed local greets you on arrival while drumming on a pate ending with a loud Bula. Get used to hearing and saying the friendly greeting. Check-in staff are so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I travelled with my partner and 10yo and stayed in a 'garden view' room No.1252 in Block 200. It was one block from the main building but close to the foyer at one end and breakfast area at the other. Also close to the pool but far enough away to not hear any noise. Breakfast in the main restaurant called Island 619 is laid on. Everything you could need and don't need. The usual omelette stations, freshly squeezed juices and fruit, laksa soups and huge choice of pastries, plus doughnuts. The same can be said for the themed buffet dinners also at Island 619. Seafood, Indian, Asian, Fijian and a mix of all. Book ahead for the seafood night. Tatava Grill restaurant is on the beachfront and a nice change of pace. Both have live music in the background. A full day of activities is available in the kids club as well as group activities. Each night at 5.30pm (Fiji time!!) is a great fire show consisting of traditional dancing, fire twirling and breathing. If eating outside the resort is something you want to do try Heineken House across the road at the golf club. Or catch the Bula Bus into the port, which stops at each resort for approx. $22pp per day or $35pp for a five-day pass and chose from many restaurants in there. Fish, Mexican, Italian and Indian among others. The large pool was an usual shape but quite shallow and cold and took most adults time to get used to. The ocean is warmer but this area isn't really known for its beaches. There is also a toddlers pool of similar size, and a deeper adults-only pool. Unlike other countries like Thailand, Fiji definitely lacks a massage culture. Tip: If you like to send postcards you will need to buy stamps in Nadi. Not one place sells them on Denarau Island. Definitely do the zip lining at Sleeping Giant Zipline, Orchid Falls & Jungle Safari and swim at the bottom of the waterfall after an easy 1.5km walk.

Very nice and relaxing holiday at the resort. Beautiful pool, private beach, fantastic breakfast and dinner at 619. 5 mins from the port Denarau, nicely located, shopping and restaurants nearby. A couple of things the resort could look at though; please consider offering more vegetation options for food at Tatavo bar and grill. Also why do guests have to sign in and sign out pool towels. Maybe make it more guest friendly for them to just drop in a bucket or housekeeping can pick up from room? Nevertheless, we were there for our 20th anniversary and the staff at 619 made our evening really memorable so thanks to all of them. Special thanks to George for his beautiful rendition of hit songs on his guitar and a chef Pratap for his delicious Indian buffet dinner ( and also daily breakfast) as well as friendly and smiling nature. Lastly, thanks for letting us check in early inspite of the resort being packed. It certainly helped after a red eye flight.

It is best to buy the large bottles of water available at the local shops. Although we were given water each day you still need to use the large bottles for cleaning your teeth & boiling the jug.
Yes, you can get a roll-away bed, but there may be a small charge for it. Suggest you book it before your arrival to ensure one is available for you as there are lots of children, especially during Aussie school holidays.
There are more places to choose from in the Denarau Island area.
