We stayed at The Palms for one night after coming back from Tokoriki and the apartment served as a great stopover before catching our international flight the following day.
The room was clean & large with a kitchen & living room area. The only slight negative was the noise from the road outside but since we were only staying one night it didn't really bother us anyway & felt that the apartment offered good value for money for the area.
The location is also very good being walking distance from where the ferries depart & arrive from the islands. It is also just across a car park from the marina shops & restaurants so plenty of places to eat in the evening.
We also enjoyed the small pool area the morning before our flight after checkout & there is a coffee shop on site to get breakfast & drinks, which was also handy.

We were happy with our stay at The Palms. It has a great location, literally right across the street from the Port and all the shopping and restaurants. It makes it easy to grab a bit to eat or catch the Seaside ferry or cruises. There is a small pool which was nice to have and we utilized for an hour in the afternoon. We also enjoyed the cafe that was on site for a quick breakfast and coffee in the morning and for lunch when we arrived. We booked the option for a regular hotel room with 2 queen beds as it was all we really needed but there are also condominium suites available with kitchens. The room we had looked nice, the beds were comfortable but there was no balcony. We were at the back of the complex so we were a bit protected from the noise of the main street in front.
If you want to check out the rest of the Port Denarau area, you can hop on the Bula bus which stops in at the port across the street. For $10 FJD/adult, kids ride free, you can hop on and hop off for the day. But it’s mostly just resorts plus the waterpark and golf course.
The Palms was a great location for a 1-2 night stay if you’re transitioning in from the airport or coming back from the Yasawa islands. I also read that The Palms is also the only Fijian owned hotel in Denarau as opposed to the other larger resort chains found in that area.

We stayed at this property for one night prior to our Mamanuca island's trip the following morning. We arrived around 8.30PM. There was not many staff around so the service was somewhat slow. Do not expect the staff would help you carry your luggage.
We were greeted by the lovely, smiley and friendly receptionist. Check in was smooth and quick. She then asked one of the staff to help guiding the way to our room and also sending our luggage.
The room itself was just OK, a little dated, with all the necessary amenities you might need. The position of the Aircon was on top of the bed which was a little weird and we had to adjust the direction of it as it blew to our head when we were sleeping. Our room was also like being connected to a larger room that had living room and kitchen. Our neighbour was noisy and we could hear his TV on and him showering. For the price you paid compared to other properties in Denarau area, I thought you got what you paid for.
Check out was smooth and quick. We headed to Nadi town before our Mamanuca cruise later that afternoon. The hotel did not have dedicated storage area where they could keep our luggage but they were kind enough to let us store the luggage in front of the reception desk. They did not produce you any dockets for proof nor they mark the luggage to whom the luggage belong to. Overall, just an OK stay.

Response from Aseri Tikoimatuku, Guest Services / Front Office at The Palms Denarau Fiji
Responded 7 Sept 2023
Bula Thank you for your review. The manager is Ogina Lata and is not aware of this situation as this was handled by front desk and reservations . please be advised you booked two guest rooms and decided to cancel 1 upon check in which resulted in a late cancellation fee, please refer to the cancellation policy in your booking. This could have been avoided if you contacted booking.com or the property direct with your concerns. guest rooms are only for 2 adults and 2 children's but still the hotel allowed you to have 3 adults with no extra costs as this was your last minute request upon check in this also takes time for the hotel to replenish your room with extra amenities for 1 more person. booking.com clearly states that guest rooms does not come with washer and dryers as these are only available in our apartments this too was explained to you upon check in. we did not receive any calls emails or messages from you in regards to your cancellation requests but still we generously waived your second night fee. vinaka

Whilst the rooms and facilities are to a quite high standard however the service at the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered basic food for dinner, chicken strips and chips (which were only luke warm), and toasted sandwiches and then had a marathon wait of over an hour and a quarter before anything appeared. No explanation of why it took so long nor any apology. Completely unacceptable in my books.

The Palms offers everything you need for apartment-style accommodation. The 2 x bedrooms are super spacious. The bedrooms are enormous and modern with everything you need, including comfortable beds and a full-size kitchen. There were also two bathrooms. The property has a small pool with an attached cafe. The food was excellent for breakfast and poolside drinks. Best of all is location, location, location. The Palms is just a 2-minute walk (50m) from the Port of Denarau and Marina Precinct. There is no need for long walks in the heat or taxi rides; the Palms is close to the Marina Shops, has multiple excellent restaurants and cafes, and offers ferry transport to the Islands. The majority of the island day tours also leave from the Port. The Palms would suit families looking for more spacious accommodation and separate bedrooms rather than two hotel rooms. It would also suit someone looking to base themselves in Denarau and planning multiple island-hopping trips from the Port.

I had initially booked a studio room through Agoda, which at no fault of The Palms Denarau at all did not coming with a balcony. Agoda did not advise these studio rooms do not have a balcony. Once arriving to my room and discovering this I was the case I was quite upset. I felt as if Agoda had mislead me to believe all rooms at this property had a balcony.
Zeeba the receptionist was simply outstanding, the next day Zeeba arranged an upgraded to a full apartment with an outdoor balcony space. (with an upgrade fee which I was happy to pay.)
The apartment was absolutely divine full kitchen, oven, microwave, fridge/freeze, dishwasher… everything you would need to cook your own meals. Even a separate dining table!
The apartment was completely air conditioned with ceiling fans too for a very comfortable stay & sleep if your not used to the heat!
The master bedroom was just heavenly with a king+ size bed & TV to watch whilst relaxing in bed. The ensuite was huge and also had a beautiful egg shaped bath tub with lovely amenities.
The apartment was also equipped with a washing machine & dryer, ironing board & iron. Just BYO washing powder.
The Palms is very conveniently located to Port Denarau/Marina. (2 min walk away) there are many day trips / cruises on offer. There are also many restaurants, bars, cafes, gift shops, supermarket all very close by.
The Free wifi was super handy & much appreciated, their is also daily housekeeping if you wish. I opted out for this & just got fresh towels.
Joape from reception was also super helpful & friendly with any questions or requests I had.
There is an on-site cafe which is separate from the hotel however you’re able to charge back to your room. The coffee is great however my only fault of this cafe/hotel was the one breakfast I had was dry & not to the description on the menu.
All the staff here at The Palms were super friendly & I would HIGHLY recommend this property to all. In particular this property is able to cater for large family’s with the 3 bedroom apartment options.
THANK YOU so much for making my stay so enjoyable 10/10!! I will definitely be back in the near future!

We spent one night at The Palms in Port Denerau before heading to an island. The hotel is close to Nadi airport and literally across the road from Port Denerau Marina and the centre if Denerau. We got there late and had to leave early the next morning but still had a pleasant time in the hotel. We got upgraded to an apartment with a huge living/dining/kitchen area, a big bedroom with king sized bed, sofa & armchair, and a bathroom with shower and a bath. The room also had a big balcony facing towards the pool and the cafe downstairs. There was a huge TV both in the living room and the bedroom. The kitchen was fully equipped: fridge, dishwashedlr, microwave, tea kettle, plates, cutlery and pots were provided. The room also had a safe, ironing board, iron and a hairdrier. The staff at The Palms were friendly, they even brought our luggages up. Both check in and check out went very smooth and efficient. I would definitely stay there again.

Location: Located on the Denarau Peninsula (with security staff / barrier, to get there at all), less than 3 min walk from the shopping center with supermarket and restaurants and also 3 min walk to the port where the numerous ferries to the e.g. Yasawa Islands depart.
Rooms: Average furnished rooms of the 4-star hotel category. Unfortunately, a bit coolly decorated without a special touch.
Other: Small pool available but we never use it. The reception was friendly and effective.
Conclusion: The hotel is ideal if you want to go to one of the numerous islands to the west. We received in full what we had paid for.

We chose this for a week stay as both my partner and I knew we were using it as a base camp. Each day we had tours to the outer islands/other parts of the mainland and we needed the room for the evening after dinner and to sleep.
It is not a resort but the pool area is lovely, more so at night when the fires are lit. There is a cafe on site that serves lunch and breakfast all week and dinner part of the week.
The big win for us was the location: a stones throw to the port and all the restaurants and shops.
The room was superbly clean and tidy, the bed quite comfortable and aside from an overly complicated tv we settled in well.
There is a fair bit of road noise at this property
As the title says: please save yourself a bad night sleep and invest in some ear plugs for this hotel.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Try Totoka on denarau road (road to Denarau) or Spoilt Rotten at Port Denarau. Both can do expat hair and both do wedding parties. I have used both for hair cuts and foils and they were OK.
In order to see what ?? If it is a last glimpse of Fiji, then the plane could take a couple of different Flight paths out of Nadi and so it is impossible to say whether you will see a view of Fiji as you depart. I suggest asking ground crew at time of checkin. They may know the current flight path at that time
There are more places to choose from in the Denarau Island area.
