We stayed in the Ali’i building and we had a great experience from the moment we entered through the door. Mr. Jun, made our stay a phenomenal one! Mr. Jun, so pleasant, kind, attentive, patient etc…. there are so many more adjectives I can use but… you get the message. Miki the concierge and Tilkati?(spelling), if you want an excursion or just scoop about the property- these are the women to see, they were great! They made our sight seeing efforts and activities non stressful and were able to please a group of 10 easily. “Mother Teresa” and Cynthya at the Tapas bar…. Please see these ladies, your food orders are correct every time and at your table hot and fast. Teresa also has a special ability with interrogating people, she will know and can read you like no body’s business (good luck with that job at the FBI😜). Dave at the Mixbar and so many others that always had a warm greeting on the premises… made our stay a wonderful one. I chose to give a 4 star rating because it takes just one bad apple that can spoil the entire basket of fruit and in this case there were two. The young man at the restaurant bowls and tea was short with his responses and in my opinion came off rude as if I a patron and a person who found a new love for açaí bowls, was not worthy enough to be in your presence and spend my money. There was also a young Asian male who worked in the Ali’i building front desk who again did not have a friendly vibe, even with his greeting… I so missed Jun. All in all, the hotel was clean, comfortable, plenty of activities to do, plenty of things to see, you don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to but I highly encourage you to see the two young ladies as they will do right by you. Great food, great entertainment and friendly staff. I highly recommend Hilton Hawaiian Village - Ali’i building.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed one night in the rainbow tower full ocean view and 6 nights in the grand Waikikian. The rainbow tower had an amazing view and it was just breath taking. We then moved to a time share room on the 27th floor with partial ocean view. The view was more city view but the room itself was high , spacious and well kept. The appliances in the 2 bedroom suite was modern and having a kitchen was very beneficial for us having breakfast before we leave for the day. The staff at the village was very courteous and friendly and we never had a problem. The lagoon was perfect for the kids and for novice scuba divers who are afraid of sharks in the real ocean (Like me) the lagoon gets crowed during the day so we usually go early. The beach was a little rough with a lot of rocks It was pretty good though. There are 5 pools an the property with some being adults only but we basically used the one near the gran Waikikian (3 levels with slides ) and the super pool. There are many restaurants nearby and prices are higher at the resort as expected but for the convenience and service it was worth it. We went to tropics twice and tried a few of the other cheaper take away places in the village. We mainly ate at Ala Moana mall food court and bought groceries at the foodland there

The Hilton Hawaiian Village is great, if you don't mind lots of action and tons of people. The hotel rooms/condos are well kept, clean and updated, the grounds absolutely beautiful, the views quite good and the service above average. However, I personally prefer a more quiet, less populated and more boring vacation spot. I could not get away from the city noise, high rises and the lack of open space. I don't utilize the stores and restaurants, and prefer an empty beach in a quiet neighborhood with zero amenities. Options are good...and in this case, the HHV is perfect for some, just not me.

This place needs a renovation. The towers are hella old. Rooms are dingy and old and smells. It smells outside too by the restaurants and shop area like rotting wood.. Hotels are supposed to be cozy and comfy. It feels dirty here in the room and I’m uncomfortable . The remote control to the TV needs new batteries. I called guest services and it’s been an hour and no one came yet either. Of course everything is jacked up expensive cuz it’s a “resort”.

Such an absolute disappointment. Our stay begun with a 30-minute wait in line to check in. Here’s the thing: we are Lifetime Diamond members so we got the “special line”. If you weren’t Diamond or Gold you Waited in a line that was at least 109 yards long and I heard people saying it took over 2 hours to get to the counter! What a way to start a Hawaiian vacation….We get to the room in Alii Tower and it is “ok” - nothing great - worn furniture and broken bathroom fixtures. Alii Tower pool missing several tiles and looks just terrible - outdoor furniture worn out and just terrible. Want your room cleaned for your $600:night room? You better call ahead or they won’t do it! So disappointed in what was once a wonderful property. The hotel is so big it’s just a sea of people and crowds - not what you want on a “relaxing holiday”. Now a budget level hotel that is on the lines of a Ramada Inn…. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
