The Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel garners praise for its exceptional cleanliness and the staff's friendly demeanor, though a few guests suggest service can be hit or miss. While many guests appreciate the cozy rooms for their breathtaking ocean views, there are comments about the rooms feeling a tad outdated and cramped. Despite concerns over room size and additional parking costs, the hotel's prime location just steps from Waikiki Beach and nearby attractions is seen as offering good value. However, some travelers miss having on-site amenities like a pool or gym.

We have returned to the Waikiki Circle hotel three times now. Our
July 2023 booked ocean front room on the 12th Floor had a spectacular view, with the beach and shops so conveniently located. Our room was cleaned daily, and the staff were always very accommodating. We had a magnificent holiday and totally recommend the Aston Waikiki circle hotel.

This review is based on my recent multi-week stay at the Waikiki Circle Hotel. First, you can be sure of COVID safety at the hotel. They meticulously sanitize each room after it is vacated and keep it empty for at least a full day. Second, the balcony and its door are enhanced such that it seems the room is fully open to the beautiful view yet at the same time sliding shutters can be closed for privacy. Third, the staff (Chip, John, Kevin,...) are even more helpful than usual in finding alternate activities for venues closed due to virus restrictions.

As always, the Pacific Ocean is just across the street, available for swimming, surfing, catamaran, out-rigger canoe and other activities ( hotel towels supplied ). Restaurants, museums, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and International Market Place are all within easy walking distance.

Having stayed there more than 40 times, I look forward to my next visit to home away from home. The Waikiki Circle Hotel has my strongest possible recommendation as a fantastic place to stay in Waikiki.

This place is literally right across the street from the water. It's so easy to be able to go back to your room to grab something you forgot. You can rent boards at the pop-up tents across the street. And there's a snack shack nearby. Literally on the same block is the statue of Duke. I don't think you can get any closer to the beach than this hotel. The Rams got cleaned each day which was great because they her bath mat gets soaked with water and sand. So it was nice to have something fresh to come home to after the beach each day. The staff was so nice. I felt really welcome here. My 13-year-old son and I stayed for six nights. Each hotel has a service fee added on and I can't remember exactly how much it was but it was at least $30. And then parking is $28 per night. So plan for that. Also, you need to reserve a parking spot ahead of time, otherwise you will not have one.

This property has so much potential - it's in a prime location on Waikiki beach and compared to its neighbors, they offer the best price. But unfortunately, in the time of pandemic (esp the time we visited), we did not feel that our room was cleaned thoroughly. It was a dingy looking room. I wiped everything down myself with sanitizing wipes which I brought. I immediately made a complaint through the front desk and through Expedia and the answer I received was quite a nonchalant one. I requested for 2 extra sheets just so I could place it on top of the bed bec it really felt unsanitary. The next morning I requested to be moved to another room which they did. This room on the 10th floor was definitely better but that NEXT LEVEL clean they speak of - you just don't feel it. Maybe it's the tired looking interiors & carpeting but there is work to do to make this hotel a lot better than what it is now. Last thing, no one ever mentioned renovations happening and one morning, this is all we heard. DRILLING. We literally had to get out of our room to avoid getting a headache from the noise. I have the video documenting the noise level but I can't upload it here. Hotels need to be more transparent about renovations bec this impacts a guest's stay 100%. Regarding the resort fee that all Waikiki hotels charge, theirs may be one of the lowest but it covers nothing like other hotels. Their fee covered wifi, safe & a newspaper - all of which come standard at most hotels (resort or not!).

We have stayed at this hotel many times and you get what you pay for. It’s not lavish, it’s not 5 star and it’s not expensive. What you do get is a fantastic outlook, best position ever, it’s clean, safe with very friendly helpful staff.
You are centrally positioned opposite the beach, the rooms are not large but who stays in their room when in Hawaii.

We will always come back and what we save of accomodation we spend on ourselves so it’s a win win.
If you want a large room with all the trimmings don’t stay here but if you are after a budget hotel with all that Waikiki has to offer then stay this is the place for you. To get your room cleaned daily it does cost an extra $20 / day on top but they do a good job.

This is an older and small hotel in the greatest possible location. It is directly across the street from the wall enclosed swimming area at Waikiki beach. The location is what makes this hotel an unbelieveable value. It is at least 30% cheaper (at least in non-covid times) than any other hotel on the beach. That said, this hotel is older and very small. But if you know this going in, it is FANTASTIC. First, the rooms are tiny. The two double beds barely fit. But when yo get to the balcony (lanai) you realize it was all worth it. I paid for the top delux level, which is one of the three rooms directly facing the front of the hotel (it is a round building). My room looked directly athteh beach. I was on teh 13th floor, with a view to love. Every morning I woke to the birds in the incredible banyan tree across the street and surfers catching waves before their days start. Like all hotels in resort locations, they charge a resort fee so they do not have to share all their rate with hotel and travel sites. As long as you know this going in and factor it into the rate, you should be fine as it is still the best deal on the beach. Just be aware of it as it is clear as can be on their site and on hotels . com. You do not get any perks for the resort fee other than use of beach towels and dvd movie rentals for free. The location is right near everything. The breakfast joint in front, Eggs and things, is AMAZING and you get 10% off for being a hotel guest. People line up 30 minutes before it opens, so if you want to get in, be there at least 20 minutes early or you will not get in, its a small place. The staff was great to us, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. OVerall a trully great experience. Its small, a little bit old, but a great place with teh best value.

I spent many hours scouring the internet trying to find a property that I felt would fit the bill for our final week of travel after 10 weeks away from home. Settled on this property because of its location and price. The check-in was efficient and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room had a reasonable ocean view, we had 2 double beds, a small area which contained a wardrobe, mini fridge, coffee machine and safe. The bathroom was small but very clean and the shower pressure was excellent, hot water not an issue. Our room was serviced daily, even a morning paper was provided. If you required any extra supplies you just had to ask. Supermarket right next door, beach opposite, towels provided to take to the beach, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby including the Cheesecake Factory which never disappoints. Room decor is as you see on the internet pictures. Whilst we would consider the hotel and rooms dated, the property is very clean, you can't beat the location and the price was acceptable. Beds were comfortable. No complaints at all. A perfect location for the final week of our holiday and would definitely recommend.

This hotel is Waikiki’s best kept secret. It offers everything we needed for a great, memorable vacation. We booked a delux ocean front room and were blessed with the top floor (14th floor)! It had two double beds, a mini fridge, shower and safe. We had the best view we have ever had! We’ve been to Oahu several times and stayed at a few other waterfront hotels… and this was our favourite accommodation choice so far. It may not have a gym, room service, or microwaves in the suites but it made up for it by having the most amazing views and absolute best location in Waikiki. Not to mention that all the staff was incredible. The elevators were quick and there was unlimited fresh filtered water in the private lobby (and free DVD rentals with new releases). We stayed here 9 nights and enjoyed absolutely every second. There is a convenience store and McDonald’s very close and open late for late night snacks. I would absolutely stay here again and get any oceanfront room ending in “04” as all these rooms would have the most amazing views. Very pleased and highly recommended.

Location is everything. This hotel is directly across from Waikiki Beach and on the main shopping/restaurant street. You can literally walk to 50 stores and 50 restaurants within a four block radius. The room is small, but very clean and super friendly staff. We stayed with two adults, two teens. You only eat and sleep here so who cares about the size! Cleaning staff are so friendly and quick, front desk staff are very helpful. There really isn’t a lobby, but for late check out they hold your luggage and offer you use of the bathrooms. We did not rent a car, you can walk or Uber to anywhere. Beach towel service is a breeze, no issues getting fresh beach towels every day. For a reasonable priced, no frills hotel, this is the place. You simply cannot beat the Aston Circle. We would 100% stay here again.

This was my fortieth stay at the Waikiki Circle Hotel. The property is directly across the street from the ocean. You can experience the surf directly breaking on the sandy beach or relax in a part of the beach protected from the surf. The hotel is a colorful facility with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms can have an ocean front view or a city view depending on where in the circular structure you are located. The hotel is within easy walking distance of restaurants of all types of cuisines and attractions such as the zoo and aquarium. Definitely a walking friendly environment. Highly recommended.

Yes, the hotel has large beach towels for you to take to the beach. If you have small children there are also toys you can take to play in the sand. In addition, there is a rack of beach chairs, air mats, flotation noodles, boogie boards and other beach paraphernalia left by previous guests. This is catch as catch can.
