Condo style accommodation very bright and spacious. Has a living room, full bedroom, kitchen with oven, dishwasher, full size fridge utensils, coffee maker and lots of storage space.

Washroom is a bit older in terms of features the water pressure was just ok. TV, wifi, safe, iron and ironing board all in the room.

Location is very convenient only 2 blocks from Waikiki beach and 2 blocks to all types of shopping: Nordstrom’s Rack, Macys, Ross and even upscale shops such as LV & Omega within 10 minutes walking distance.

Many good restaurants close by as well as ABC stores. There is a convenience store and coffee shop located right in the facility.

There is a pool, tennis court and laundry facility right on site.

We had a one week stay in a one bedroom condo which was booked via Sun Holidays.

The condo whilst dated was clean and roomy and located on the 21st floor.

Bathroom was small with a combined toilet and shower/bath.

We had a full kitchen with stove, oven and microwave as well as a full sized fridge.

Location was great and only a few blocks from Waikiki Beach. The location is closer to the Diamand Head side of Waikiki but it is easily walkable from one end of Waikiki to another.

We had a slight ocean views from the side of the apartment.

Hotel had a roomy balcony with two chairs and a table.

Many bars and restaurants are located close by.

Unfortunately we did not get a chance to check out the facilities of the resort as we were quite busy touring during our stay.

I found this condo a great option for our stay in Waikiki.

Room/Hotel is well located in the Southern end of Waikiki. 1 block from zoo, beach, restaurants, coffee, etc...
Room itself left a less impressive imprint with very dated kitchen, broken drawers (at least the ones you could open), Broken cable on TV so neither TV worked, mold in shower corners, broken slider on bedroom divider, and hotel hallways never cleaned by staff (ie, vaccumed) the entire 7 days we were there. (dirt, food debris, small pieces of glass, etc.. all on floor the entire time we were there without ever being cleaned up). Beds were hard and creaky - felt more like cheap Motel beds. Room basically needs a full update.

Pool was busy, with only 1 out of the 2 hot tubs open for use without explanation. And if you are in a rush, even with 4 elevators, you will need to be very patient. Can be waiting more than 10 minutes at times mid-day.

Still gave it a 3 out of 5 simply due to the location, and the minimal time spent in the unit.

Wonderful service and convenient location. Internet was blazing fast. Parking was affordable and easy. All rooms are condo-style suites with full kitchens which was much more space than I needed as a solo business traveler, but an excellent value especially for families.

I’m surprised to see so many positive reviews for this place. If you are used to staying at a resort, You will not be happy at Waikiki Banyan. The location is close to the ocean and our unit (rented through Airbnb) had free parking. For these reason I give 2 stars. The building is very dated. It doesn’t have central air or ventilation system (common in Asia or old concrete buildings) so the January wind we had was howling like crazy! It was hard to sleep because the old windows were not air tight. Even the elevator doors on the 3rd floor had to be manually pushed shut by a permanent resident due to the wind (and lack of proper ventilation and design.). Amenities are terrible. Only book here if you do not want to use any amenities (besides the beach!). We were visiting in winter so we did want to use the pool and spa, the beach was windy. The spas were plastic residential grade spas and the plastic was old and deteriorating. The water filtration of these residential hot tubs could not keep up
With the number or visitors so the water was not clean. In a typical hotel the pool and spa have a professional filtration system. Pool lounges and chairs were very dirty and in need of repair. Our unit had nice furniture but it did not make up for the poor quality of the building. This is the worst place I have stayed in for many years.

This was our 3rd time staying at the Waikiki Banyan. Initially, the property was recommended to us by local freinds who had a long-term rental there. We previously stayed at the Hale Koa in 2015 and 2016 which was exceptional but it was time to go the condo route. We almost cancelled our trip but decided to follow-through with our travel plans even though the Governor pleaded for tourists to cancel/reschedule their trips. We spoke to some local freinds who stated now was the best time to come. Glad we did. It was one of the best Hawaiian vacations. Everything went perfectly and the staff and services at the Waikiki Banyan were outstanding. Cliff and Randy deserve special mention for their smiles, engagng discussions and customer service. They are always great. Pool /Spa areas were open and we could see the staff in the early morning hours performing their regular maintenance to keep these areas clean and safe. The general lobby and other public areas, elevators, parking deck etc were all clean and safe. There are BBQ grills near the pool area where you can grill as well. For a 2+ week trip it is a better deal to just get a monthly parking tag if you have a car. Only a little more than a block from Waikiki's Kuhio Beach. Aquarium, Zoo, Park and shopping all within a very short walk. Great location for families.

We stayed at the Waikiki Banyan the first week of July 2021 for one week. We were on the 18th floor in Tower 1. The room had a nice balcony with a partial ocean view. The room had a full kitchen that had all the cups, dishes and kitchen utensils you would need. We rented a car and made a grocery run to Safeway and bought groceries for the whole week. We ate out almost every night. There are a few food truck spots nearby and restaurants. I did not notice the prices were way out of line for dining. Gas was cheaper in Hawaii than in California. The Waikiki Banyan is right down the street from the beach so we spent a lot of time at the beach. We explored some nice places with our rental car. There is a rental car desk about a five minute walk away at the Hyatt. Sometimes there is a few minute wait to get an elevator. These are large buildings. I would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Sweetwater at Waikiki located at the Waikiki Banyan. The one bedroom unit was very spacious. King size bed was comfortable. There is also a pull down bed if you have more than 2 guests. It has Hawaiian themed furnishings. The ladies at the registration office were friendly and efficient. Always a smile. Made it a wonderful Aloha experience. We stayed at a unit with partial ocean view. Nice! Kitchen has everything we needed for quick breakfast before we head out to whatever we planned to do for the day. There are no washer and dryer inside the unit but they are available for a small fee (coin operated) on each level of the property. The pool, jacuzzi or sauna were open for guests to enjoy. BBQ grills were also available but there is a $2 fee per hour to use them. The location is great! Short block to Kuhio Beach, many restaurants and shops. The office also has beach chairs, umbrellas, books, boogie boards etc for the guests to use free of charge. FREE parking is also included.

This condo was only a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and 1/2 the cost of beachfront hotels. Was easily walkable to International Marketplace and restaurants too. All staff encountered were friendly. The building and the rooms are old and outdated but that is not a big deal to me. Everything worked and was clean. The lanai was small but worked for two people (would not have worked well for more than that). There was a small view of the ocean and the mountains. The walls are thin but there weren't many people on my floor due to Covid so wasn't a big deal. Traffic noise got louder as the week went on too. Occupancy definitely picked up by the time we left (close to Spring Break). Parking garage was fine. Lowest prices of any hotel around too! Most of the recreation deck was closed (I think for remodeling or repairs?) The grills are "pay to use" and you aren't supposed to bring down glass but everything in your unit is glass so not sure how that was supposed to work. Don't know if there are grill tools there or not. The pool was a decent size and the water felt good, not too cold. The hot tub was a little small but there are two so it worked out ok. Each tub fit 4 adults well with distancing but could hold 8 in normal times. No pool towels are provided so you have to take bath towels. Complementary movies and PlayStation games are available but we did not use either. The bed was comfortable but wobbled whenever anyone rolled over. AC unit is in the living area so if you close the bedroom door it got stuffy in there. Bathroom was small but again, with only two of us, was doable. Have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. We have stayed at Aston properties before and have not been disappointed. I will take an older couch and carpet and a short walk to the beach to save on expenses. Everything worked, was clean and staff was friendly. I felt safe in the area walking by myself. That is what matters to me.

Hard uncomfortable bed. Dirty carpets. Stained upholstery. Sticky sofa. Paint chipped walls. Broken lampshade . Not able to use the pool. Broken dvd player, yet charged 29.00 a day for amenities that we did not use. Told the desk, we were told "you have free wifi" every hotel has free wifi, plus we have unlimited data on our phones, so that is not a big deal. The location was great, the staff was not. There are so many hotels to choose from in Waikiki, I really think the Aston needs to clean up the rooms. New paint and bed bedspreads (ours felt very old and worn) plus clean the carpets, get the stains out! looks gross!
