Stayed here in a two bedroom suite with wife and three teenagers. Good points are: Walking distance to lots of restaurants. Suite with separate bedrooms and living room makes for more privacy in larger groups Staff are polite. They kindly extended our checkout time by a few hours due to a late flight home. Free alcoholic beverages in the evening. Other guests seemed quiet and polite / no riff-raff or noisy bothersome hooligans Bad points are: The pool is 3-1/2 to 4 feet deep, suitable for small children but not for adults. It is crowded and full of screaming kids. The lounge chairs at the pool were usually full. A large portion of the pool area is taken up by (empty) cabanas that they want you to pay for. Usually in Hawaii we spend a couple of hours at the end of a hot day cooling off and relaxing at the pool. But on this trip we could not use the pool or pool deck area at all for the above reasons. The rooms / bedsheets were cleaned/changed every two days instead of daily. However they will bring you extra towels etc when needed. At the free buffet breakfast we had to inspect our cutlery and dishes carefully as multiple times there was dried food residue on the forks and knives and once a big chunk of egg stuck to the plate. The free breakfast buffet was a good thing because you can eat quickly without spending any money. However the food choices and quality were mediocre. At the free evening happy hour, the free drinks were fine but the snacks were minimal / basic. If you are a family with small kids looking for a moderate quality hotel then this is a good choice. However we were looking to relax by the pool and vegetate after two years of hell so this place did not quite suite our needs. Overall you get what you pay for. For the same price, you could get a more upscale hotel with nicer pool, food etc. However you would just get a hotel room rather than separate bedrooms. So I have mixed feelings about this place. Mostly they need to make clear on their website that the pool is a kiddie pool and that rooms are serviced every two days. No problem with these two issues except that we were not informed of this when we booked our hotel room. Also they need some quality control / supervisor to make sure that dishes and cutlery are clean before they are brought out for the guests to use at the breakfast buffet.…
It was so hard to choose between all the various hotels in Waikiki, and I am so happy that I chose the Embassy Suites! From the moment of check-in, Sue greeted me warmly. The suites were large, perfect for me to check in and do remote work when I needed to. The build to order omelette was delicious, and every day the breakfast had different variety. I loved the funny bartender (free cocktail hour starting at 5:30 with potato chips). The pool is actually not usable for adults since it is filled to the brim with mostly little kids. Laundry room on premises ($4.75 a load). I was a sucker and signed up for the Hilton time share presentation at the Hilton Grand, and I walked away happy that I did not sign or purchase anything. They expected me to make a major financial purchase of over $143K on the spot! Salesperson was really upset that he did not close the deal, couldn't even walk me out the door, and said before leaving the room, "why are you even here?" So beware! Loved that I was in the middle of the action in Waikiki, sales tax is minimal compared to Los Angeles. It was also within walking distance to the beach. Worth it to rent an umbrella because the sun gets really hot (get there before 9am, and there is an umbrella rental with chairs for full day at $40). I do recommend renting a car since there are beautiful beaches and places to see outside of Waikiki. You're there, splurge on one! Turo ended up more in cost for one day than renting from Alamo for 3 days. Can't wait to go back. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful. Mahalo Embassy Suites for a great stay!…
As Hilton Diamond members and Grand Vacation owners, we stay at a lot of Hilton locations. Beachwalk has been on the top of my list for years and i have stayed here many times. This last visit the hotel was kind enough to give me an upgrade which I thoroughly enjoyed. My son and wife were also traveling and their room was nice as well. But the room is just one part of the wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and you feel the Aloha. The location is perfect for your visit to Waikiki, with a nice pool available for relation when you are not out exploring, dining or shopping. Breakfasts are the best I have experienced in the entire Hilton chain. Things were a little restricted with the COVID situation, but they did a great job keeping it exceptional. Many thanks to the management and staff of this Embassy for making the stay for my entire family so wonderful. See you on the next trip.…
From check in to breakfast to the welcoming staff at valet to the bellman and housekeeping you all would love to stay in Waikiki at embassy suites💕. You just can’t beat the hospitality It’s one block from the beach but so worth the worth. It’s always the positive people that make an impact on a vacation Yes food too
This was my third stay at the Embassy in Waikiki. Check-in staff very friendly. I was here for work and the valet staff had my car down at 5:30am every morning as requested. The rooms are large and clean. A small issue with the tub was fixed immediately. The cleaning staff are very nice and will make sure you have all that you need for linens, and the usual toiletries, coffee, tea, etc. The pool area is well-kept. The pool-side bars are well-stocked and have a wonderful staff. You can order lunch or dinner from Yard House or Giovanni's. Both have great menu's. Although I only got to experience the breakfast on the weekends, it is a full hot breakfast with made-to order omelets if you like. Oatmeal and cereal bar, toast, bagels and muffins. I loved the breakfast! ABC Stores are the local 'quick stop' all-you-need stores, and one is right across the street. Quick walk across the street leads to a beautiful sunrise and sunset, Lots of outdoor activities. All-round, one of the best places I've stayed. I will certainly continue to stay here.…
