We loved this hotel. We were there for St. Patrick's weekend and loved the entertainment provided on the outside patio. They provide great customer service, as they text you for any questions you may have. And, the bed were soooo comfortable

Victorian Elegance in the heart of Newport. Everything in this hotel is up to snuff! Rooms are beautifully decorated and have plush mattresses and linens. Hotel staff are quick to attend to all needs. Great night life downtown. Would recommend this hotel for a fine experience in

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Viking for 2 nights in March, it was our first time to the Newport area and we found the hotel to be good value and rates were reasonable given it was low season. We were in easy walking distance from shops and restaurants and because it was

I travel a lot for work. I’d heard about this hotel & jumped at the chance to stay here overnight (Th-F) when a business opportunity took me to Newport. Color me shocked to discover that the rates were compliant with our travel policy. However, that was BEFORE the $30 ‘fee’ (for

Please book at a different place. We just stayed there and it’s horrible! Visit the bar but stay elsewhere

We were there at the end of June and really didn't see any signs of the renovations.

We just spent a weekend at the Viking for a wedding and also had a block of rooms. We paid the resort fee. Although we did not like/understand this fee at the time, we ended up utilizing the hotel amenities... and had fun with it. My advice is make sure you enjoy the little extras. The extra surprises WE enjoyed included house made marshmelllows and S'mores by the fire pits, including blankets, ice cream by the warm indoor pool at night, complementary water at check in. turn down service, and shuttle bus. We felt cared for.
