Hotel's Favourite
Very nice stay. I've stayed at many Hampton Inn's and they tend to be pretty consistent with the amenities and cleanliness.
The room was spacious and offered enough room for my dog's crate. Great water pressure in the shower and they offer Neutrogena toiletries.
There were areas behind the hotel for me to walk my dog, which was nice. The breakfast was fine with several protein sources, as well as a good variety.
Lots of parking.
A grocery store and a couple of restaurants across the street, which was convenient.
This hotel also offers a special rate for those there for hospital-related business, which was appreciated.
Only reason for 1 less star was the lack of personality of the front desk staff. Kind of a "bare minimum" attitude. The breakfast lady was very sweet and always smiling, and the housekeepers were very friendly as well. Just don't know what the issue was with the front desk staff (except the beared guy when we first checked in at 6 am. - he was nice).
I'd stay again.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times, as my son addresses health issues at U of U and Primary Children's Hospitals. It's very convenient to both. There is also shopping and restaurants nearby. We book the suite and it's very spacious and convenient for families. The pool is warm and the hot tub even better. Breakfast is really good-- my kids love the waffle spread and I love the hot oatmeal. They do offer a discounted hospital rate if it is available. It's pricier than most Salt Lake hotels, which is a bummer, but for us the location is worth it. Very clean, incredibly friendly and understanding staff. The only reason I'm giving them one star is because the rate (if you can't get the hospital discount) is higher than most families, going through a health crisis, can afford.

We stayed here overnight before our flight out the next day after a week long trip around Utah. We chose this hotel because we have had great experiences at Hampton Inns, and the location was convenient for some sightseeing we wanted to do as well as being close to a friend's house that we were going to visit. The room was spacious, clean, and well outfitted. The breakfast the next morning was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We even enjoyed the 3rd floor outdoor patio for a bit. It is on Foothill, so it may get a little noisy on that side? We were on the opposite side of the building on the second floor, and it was very quiet. (Across from a cemetery.) One advantage to our room is that there was a second story outside exit door near our room, which made for easy access out and just around the corner to the large hotel parking ramp.

We have a daughter in college nearby. Have stayed at this hotel a dozen or so times. Care of the property and overall customer service have slowly been declining the past 12 months. Never an extra roll of toilet paper in the rooms, the employees are closing up breakfast before it ends in the morning. Rooftop parking lot has had the same broken down Buick parked in the corner with flat tires and license tabs removed. We are Diamond Members and it’s like pulling teeth just to get a bottled water. We love the proximity to everything, but are seriously considering trying different hotels as this one is a disappointment as of late.

They are really underselling their rooftop terrace at this hotel, which allows for gorgeous views of both the mountains with sunset hitting them, and the actual sunset over Salt Lake City. Chairs are super comfy, with sturdy tables for poker or your dinner. We spent as much time as possible on this open air third floor rooftop - there is a road with some traffic, but it dies down as the night goes on. Room was comfy with a good mattress which is normal for Hampton (hard to understand the other reviews on the mattresses...), and clean. Front desk clerk (male, light hair) was super friendly and clued us to My Pie Pizzeria which was wonderful - we gave him our leftovers (hopefully enjoyed). Location is jointly with a Verizon store, in case you need attention from them. About 20 minutes from the airport with a much better view than expected. Air conditioner seemed to be locked at 71 degrees, which was a bummer for sleeping, but otherwise fine. Breakfast normal Hampton.

+1
When driving into this hotel, it may be easier to see the Verizon sign than the hotel sign! There is some covered parking, which is useful during icy or hot weather. I stayed two nights for leisure during the Sundance Festival. Other guests looked like they were also attending Sundance. Everything in the hotel worked! My room was quiet because it was on the top floor and faced east away from the road and toward the mountains. The lobby always had vacuum pots of coffee; sometimes I had to ask for decaf.

I normally stay at Hampton Inn & Suites, but this one was disappointing. First, since I'm a Diamond member, I asked for an upgraded room. The clerk mumbled something, quickly scanned the room key and seemed anxious to talk to a young man waiting behind me (I did not get an upgrade and they didn't appear to be too booked). Second, things in our room were run down a little. The curtain to block the light was taped together where it was ripped, the cubby to hold the fridge was damaged on the bottom, and our service dog found old food under the bed skirt. Since we were there for a University of Utah hospital visit, we can say it was close for driving and some stores and restaurants within walking distance.

This Hotel is located very near some good hiking areas and is a bit outside of town. It's a bit tricky to find from the road (check Google Earth before going) but is in a good location for shopping and dining as well. The small outside terrace is a great place to hang out; though it's on a fairly busy street you still have views of the foothills and mountains. The room is simple and fine. No issues, shower is a good height, generally quiet. The Covid impact on breakfast is understandable (a small bag of take away items.)

Our memories of excellent Hampton properties are fading with another very average stay. This house is buried in strip mall like corner property with reasonably good access to the university and surrounding properties. Parking is in an open multilevel garage. Our room looked out on a cemetery, but there is a hidden outside terrace on the 3rd floor that has pleasant long views of the valley and mountains. While the room was well serviced everyday, check in, while efficient, was utterly uninspired. The lobby and breakfast area was the typical attractive Hampton formula. There is a very small indoor pool and exercise area, along with business office, self serve laundry and sundries/snack shop. A previous commentator mentioned the loose rippled hall carpets, which still exist on every floor- not sure what going on there. Our room was a medium sized double queen with a small bathroom. It was attractively decorated with multiple pieces of art. The room had a medium flatscreen with good channel selection, complementary internet, a refer and microwave. The room had no safe and completely forgettable in room coffee service. HVAC and lighting worked well, with sufficient outlets. Our toilet was not working well, which was repaired when we identified the problem. The bed and linens were good as were the toiletries. The towels were small and thin- not impressed. The second floor ice machine was not working. The complementary breakfast was of average quality and selection - waffels, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, breads and juice/coffe. Meat and eggs one day and potatoes and a muffin concoction the next. At nearly $180 per night an average value at best. Maybe I need to reset my expectations of Hampton properties.

This hotel is exactly what you expect from a Hampton Inn. Everything is nice, not exceptional. What sets this place apart from other hotels is the location. We LOVED the rooftop terrace with panoramic sunset views of the city. It was a lovely place for the family to relax in the evenings and gave the teens a place to step away from the parents for a bit. We almost always prefer a hotel in a scenic location (versus downtown) and the location in the foothills didn’t disappoint. The hotel was in close proximity to some nice restaurants, hiking activities, and had a grocery store across the street. Would definitely stay here again.

google puts travel time to Park City as little as 14 minutes, which seems a little fast.
No Airport shuttle. Service is available during commuter hours 8:am - 10:am and evening 4:30pm to 5:30pm. We cover a 3mile radius.
Time from the airport is 20-30 minutes located in another part of the city. The hotel is Near the University of Utah 2mi, walkable is Hogle Zoo 1.25mi, This is the Place Historic Village 1.5mi, Utah Museum of Natural History and Red Butte Gardens 2mi. Across the street is Foothill Village Shopping Center with many shops and restaurants.
I do not represent the hotel, so I would recommend contacting them directly. I did not use it, but if I recall correctly, they did have a shuttle van.
