The Century Hotel is a good option if you are looking for somewhere a little cheaper which is clean with a good cable TV choice and in a good location to get to all the main places of interest in Garapan...on foot.
The bathroom is a little dated but the rooms are large. Shirleys is a 24 hour cafe on the ground floor that always seemed busy and the food was good. There are safe deposit boxes available free of charge at reception.
The airport shuttle service was excellent for USD 10 one way...irrespective of the time of the flight.
A shuttle service is available for a small fee to the Fiesta Resort but it is an easy 10 minute walk past a couple of supermarkets to the Fiesta Resort if you want the exercise as the shuttle is not always available as and when you need it.
The Fiesta Resort is a beach side property popular with Asian guests. It's the sister hotel to the Century and you can get free use of the pool facilities with free towels there.

After a long flight from Honolulu to Guam then finally to Saipan we were beat.

Upon entering we were greeted by the front desk clerk. The check in process was very easy and quick which got us to our room for some well needed rest.

When we entered the room we couldn't help notice that it was two beds instead of one as requested and the room was at the end of the 3rd floor. We spoke to the clerk who said that they will switch out our room the next day. We got relocated to the 2nd floor with a room near the stairs which worked really well for us.

Both of the rooms we had was very beautiful and it looks like it could have been recently renovated. The only thing that needs attention is the bathrooms, but who really cares about that as the time spent there is typically short.

Free WiFi and parking was a plus but at times when returning late parking was a hassle. The front desk clerk advised we parked on the side and they will move our vehicle if needed. This only happened twice so no big deal.

They have a resturant located in the lobby that's open 24 hours and they do offer room service but with a 15% service fee. I will review Shirley's separately.

Even with the semi outdated bathroom it was nice to have a flushing toilet and hot water that didn't leave a film on your body. I have heard that other hotels in Saipan don't have good water to shower with.

Our room was cleaned on a daily basis which we really appreciated.

Many thanks to everyone at the Century Hotel for making our one week stay a blast.

When looking for a hotel on Saipan that's very affordable please check out Century Hotel

Hotel is average business hotel and they don't have elevator but it is walking distance to DFS and there are grocery store near by.
Also the hotel has partnership with FIESTA hotel and you can use their pool facilities. Staffs are friendly and price is also reasonable. There is a restaurant on the first floor and it's open 24hours!

The staff is nice enough but if you need help with anything, GOOD LUCK! The front dest isn’t staffed all the time. It’s 8 pm on Sunday night and there isn’t anyone at the front desk. I’ve experienced this issue when off island trying to call at different times during the night and day and the phone just rings.

I have questions about the internet and there’s no one around. I spoke to someone at the restaurant and was told someone might be at the desk at 11pm. Not acceptable for your business traveler. Book at your own risk!

Front office manager Vicky and Carlos make this place your home away from home. Great hospitality people!! Very efficient housekeeping keeps premises "ultra" clean. Cable TV has 60-70 channels. Rooms are good sized. Beds firm. Two supermarkets located 50 yards away and a fresh produce shop. Shirley's makes good salads. Free broadband and wifi in room. It doesn't get much better. Why not five stars? Mini fridge in room was a bit loud. Pillows were really hard. Lot's of foot traffic during the night due to middle of night plane arrival/departures which is not hotel's fault. Great value for money.

Very generous and kind staff that clean your room every day. Location is very central. The room was clean and had the basics, nothing too fancy. The convenience of having Shirley's Coffee Shop right on the ground floor (and a bar as well) surprised me. Overall, great experience for the amount you pay.

I stayed here for a week and did not experience any problems with the staff. Very easy to talk to and very accommodating. Nice restaurants are all safe walking distance. The island is where it's at. I will return here again and recommend this place to anyone.

After eating at Shirley's Restaurant, I decided, on the strength of the "Milk fish in tamarind broth" to stay at the hotel upstairs. Meals were not geared for tourists, rather for locals and Filipino residents. Portions were ample and very reasonable with a lunch special, for $8.95, including beef chicharones, or deep fried beef skin. Like I said, not for tourists, but lots of local color. On Ash Wednesday evening, the restaurant filled up with the devout clientele, most with ashes on their foreheads. My Japanese friend didn't have a clue. As for the hotel room, it was clean, staff was friendly, fixtures were fairly new and in great condition, soap, shampoo was better than anywhere in this price range, bed was comfortable. And the kicker, they even threw in free shuttle to their larger and more expensive partner hotel, Fiesta, or to the Grand if you wish, ($5) to use the pool and enjoy the beach and restaurants there. Another thing, the cable TV had about 70 channels, compared to the Hyatt Regency's 24. A little far from the beach and shopping, but worth the savings and comfort.

The Century Hotel Saipan is a 3 star hotel that offers 5 star service. The staff (almost all Filipino) are very friendly and efficient. The rooms are cleaned punctually every day. There is a coffee shop on the main floor that can is open 24/7. The hotel is located in Garapan and a short walk away from the main shopping areas. The hotel is not on the Beach road and does not have a view of the ocean. It is quiet, clean and efficient. If you do not need pools, spa and all of that, this would be a good choice. Note: There is a night club/bar on the first floor in the back half of the building. My room was in the front on the third floor and I never heard a sound but I would imagine that someone on the second floor over the club might have a noisy experience!
