Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Extremely small space and literally walk around the bed sideways and end ways - very average accommodation on our stay thru the Fox Glacier - we were really disappointed tho hosts were accommodating and pleasant. Would not recommend for more than one person and definitely not a long term stay.

We arrived and were checked in immediately. The room was clean and neat. The picture is not at all what it looks like. Far enough from City Center to be quiet and close enough to walk to dinner. Smooth checkout. Parking was free.

With it's fantastic location and views of Mounts Cook and Tasman, the accommodation could not be better named as mist descended to provide a dramatic backdrop to our stay. Our hostess, Allanah, took time to help us orientate, provide tips on viewpoints, recommendations restaurants and provide a hearty breakfast. Iain Woods and Sherri Dewsbery

A comfortable B&B for our one night stay but wouldn't go so far as to say its luxury or boutique. The room was clean with nice views to the mountains when waking up in the morning. The host was welcoming and very helpful with dinner recommendation (Matheson café) and also convincing us to get up early for the walk around Lake Matheson (did not disappoint). Overall a comfortable stay.

Very small room, which hadn't been cleaned properly - fridge had part consumed yoghurt. Fridge was so noisy during night it had to be switched off. The track next to the room was like a racetrack in the morning as cars rushed up to the heliport. Breakfast was OK. Overpriced for the facilities offered.

Thankyou for your Review. I am very sorry you didnt have a good experience. The Fridges are being replaced with new quieter ones on the way. The Driveway next door does not belong to me and I am constantly reminding them of their responsibility to drive slowly and consider my guests.

When it's clear the views towards Mount Cook and Mount Tasman are amazing from this B&B. The rooms are comfortable and well presented. The host is friendly, chatty and informative. She makes you feel at home in her lovely house. A great place to sleep on your Fox Glacier visit.

We absolutely loved our stay at Misty Peaks! Allannah was simply fabulous. Our room was to die for - with spa bath, and very comfy bed and sitting area! Breakfast delicious. Location perfect. We felt so welcome and so comfortable - had to give her a hug when we left. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly special experience.

We were referred to this B&B by friends who had a fantastic experience last year but everything surpassed our expectations. Allanah was welcoming and helpful. She was a wealth of information on where best to view sites, various restaurants and general info about the area. The bed was super comfortable and the heated floor in the bathroom was great. The breakfast which Allanah made from scratch was scrumptious. The prune, apricot and fig compote was amazing. Parking on site makes things easy as well. All in all it was exceptional

We absolutely loved our stay here. Allanah was an excellent host. So welcoming and full of useful tips to help us get the most out of our two days here. The arrival hot drink and the wine all added to an amazing time. This is an excellent B&B with everything you need and more. If you need to stay in this area then look no further as we can thoroughly recommend Misty Peaks!

A little tired yet welcoming and Cody on a cool autumn day. Just not quite boutique but better than average. Room is comfortable but not huge and en-suite also. Very clean but the outside is a little dreary even though there are views to the mountains. Our host was very helpful. Breakfast was ok, plates were not clean. Just needs a freshen up and more attention to detail.
