Big clean apt with king bed in living room and 2 twins in the bed room. Nice and fully furnished. Only one laundry machine operating between 2-8 and it’s set to cold water only. The TV is small with limited channels and the sound is terrible. They had the windows open and a bunch of mosquitoes were in the room and we were mosquitoes food for a night.

We arrived after a drive from Queenstown and were met with a friendly greeting and advice on where to eat and best times for viewing theGlacier in terms of weather etc. The room was comfortable and well equipped with parking right outside the door. It was a very short walk to shops and cafes. After leaving I discovered thatI had left my headphones in the room. Although not found immediately I received an e mail when they were found. Sue the manager very kindly posted them to a future destination without any payment. Brilliant service - they were there whenI arrived in Wellington.

First don’t expect a 5 star hotel there are none in Fox Glacier. This is the best hotel because of the friendly staff, clean rooms, WiFi and Convenient to everything in Fox Glacier. The rooms are small but have everything you need ,small kitchenette TV . There aren’t any views, In the middle of town but again not an issue since town is so small. The manager Sue and other Sue are great and so accommodating. They offer great suggestions for food and umbrellas are always available

We recently visited Fox Glacier for a helicopter ride and decided to spend the night at the Bella Vista hotel. We were very pleased with our accommodations and the friendly staff. The room was clean and quite comfortable. For a hotel at this price point it was well above what we had expected. The staff person we dealt with was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. If you are passing through the area and need a clean comfortable place to stay that is moderately priced, the Bella Vista checks the boxes.

Stayed for two nights and found the room to be most comfortable. Host in office was excellent and friendly - she offered advise on local points of interest and where to eat. Good value for money and couldn’t see any reason to stay anywhere else if we visit again.

I travelled to Fox Glacier for work and was so happy with this accommodation. We were greeted by friendly staff who provided us with information about the Coast, a map of the town, hidden gems of the town and dinner recommendations. We went to Cafe Matheson which was one of their recommendations and it was amazing! The room had everything you needed and the motel is in a convenient location. The staff let us know that the road was closed then updated us again in the morning which was much appreciated. Would love to stay here again next time I come to Fox!

We enjoyed our two night stay. Clean, comfortable with good facilities. We were told by staff at reception to boil drinking water which we did, however, it would be great if the motel could supply a water jug so that water could be cooled and stored in the fridge. Just a suggestion which could be helpful for others in the future.

There was a heater in the bathroom and the bedding was warm and cozy. Fast and free WI-FI to book your glacier activities for the next day. Stargaze on the shared veranda or watch the trees light up with glow worms on the short Minehaha Trail in the forest next door. Possible sightings of native birds and non-native deer or possum. Restaurants and other businesses were less than 5 min walk from the hotel. Clean laundry facilities. Fox Glacier Village is also closer to Lake Matheson for hiking and breakfast at the cafe.

Nice place to stay. The host was very informative and engaging and provided some nice insights for our day there, including places to eat. Well presented rooms, ideal for short stays while exploring the many spectacular sights in the area.

We were so grateful to find Bella Vista. First they had a bath for soaking our cold, wet bodies and secondly they have ev charging facilities. Wonderful! The room was spacious, clean, warm, and comfortable. Thank you, Karen, for a wonderful stay. We left well rested after a crazy weather bomb of a day.

All our rooms have built in heating and a ventilation system to keep the air fresh. The rooms are also double glazed which keeps them quiet and warm. We hope to see you in Fox Glacier soon.
