I am travelling solo and decided to celebrate my birthday in Renwick for 4-nights drinking wine, and I cannot recommend Watson's Way enough as the perfect place to stay. Sitiauted in the heart of Renwick and therefore the middle of over 20 vineyards, Watson's Way is fully equipment with everything you could think of but at an affordable price. They even grown fresh herbs and fruits which you can use from the garden! Owner Peter goes above and beyond for each of his guests and provides informative guide each morning for the best cycle vineyard tours (you can rent bikes directly). Amazing place and I would 100% stay again. Thank you Peter and Celina!

My friend and I stayed two nights at Watson’s, a very pleasant stay! Super clean and super helpful staff. Peter really went the extra mile in making sure we had the best possible time in Marlborough. He gave us lifts to bus stops and vineyards so that we didn’t miss out on anything!

we stayed here for one night. we can really recommend this place. Plenty of space with a cozy space to sit outsight with chairs, tables, hammocks, bbq place, ... lots of games available and a clean kitchen that is very well equipped! Peter even plants fresh herbs outside. There are also great washing machines and drier available and space outside for hanging to dry. we rented two bikes from him to go on the self guided wine tour. Peter equipped us with the map and info which ones are open (as it was 1.1.). During the tour unfortunately we had a flat tire. Peter was so kind to directly bring us an exchange bike so we could continue. Thank you very much Peter! We really enjoyed our stay with you! We can highly recommend this camp site so everyone.

We stayed there for 3 nights, and everything was perfect. Really nice WiFi ;), there is a free pool table, tennis courts, bikes to rent, some music instruments, the kitchen is well equipped... All in all the place is really quiet and chill, plus really near to the vineyards ! Special thanks to Peter who is really caring and prompt to share his good advices !

What a great place with really helpful and knowledge staff. Great place to visit the local wineries as it's right in the midst, and Watson's have good cycles to rent. Renwick is a quieter location than Blenheim, but this suited us perfectly. There are a couple of bars close by and a supermarket which are all good places. Peter is a great character and very helpful we thought. If you don't think so then it could be you .... Cheers Pete ;)

We all arrived at the inn. At first everything went well then quickly we noticed the unpleasant characters of both hosts. They were very inquisitive and unhelpful all our requests were denied, however simple things like a small heater in the rooms. Indeed the rooms are not heated ... It is so cold all night. We then had to pay a lot for accommodation and a deposit was asked, we were sworn we would be returned if we did not kill anything but after we fired from the hostel for no reason he refused to return this deposit ... Note also the fact that many unnecessary and binding rules are mandatory, you will not have the right to invite anyone, showers and laundry are paignante in addition to the excessive price of the stay, no cooked after 9:30 pm, and many others ... I strongly déconteil this hostel, the owners are unpleasant and useless ... It is more a slot machine than a place of conviviality and rest ...

Pros: good kitchen, clean, hot shower, wifi Cons: we felt like the owners don't like hosting people and Backpackers. The woman was so rude and unpolite (except when we paid...). We are respectful and clean people so please respect us as well. We didn't feel welcome AT ALL. Very harsh rules for everything (I'm OK with rules but say it in a nice way please). They observed us through the camera to check if we don't sleep on the sofa ! Avoid this place. Bad spirit.

Drove through Renwick hoping to find somewhere reasonably priced to stay and close to the vineyards and came across Watson's way. Within 10 minutes of arriving I had a bed allocated in one of the dorm rooms and a bike hired and ready to go! Hostel was clean, spacious and has a lovely garden. Enjoyable stay!

Fantastic place to stay! My husband and I were only planning for one day of biking to the wineries in the region but ended up staying for 2! Peter is a wonderful owner, very kind and patient. The property is sparkling clean with an excellent and spacious kitchen/dining/living room area. The location is amazing, biking distance to plenty of wineries, and Peter gave awesome advice with his custom wine tour map that we followed and had a perfect 2 days! He also gives discounted bikes for guests staying on the property which was a great deal. We didn’t want to leave!

Peter could not have been more helpful. We arrived in our camper van in a rush to go on a wine cyling tour. Peter parked our van in a tight spot & we got off cycling. When we got back he had even connected the power. The facilities are great & very clean. The kitchen has everything. The showers are hot & clean. The wireless is free & fast. What more could you ask for in Renwick.
