Stayed here over new year, actually reasonably quiet. There was a bit of an issue with parking as they bays are not right in front of the room allocated so it’s very tight and people double park.
The kitchen facilities were very new and quite high tech I was impressed. There was a washing machine dual dryer in the room which was an added bonus. Beds comfy and lots of space and places to plug devices in.
It was very clean.
I did note they charge a 50 dollar cleaning fee for not cleaning AND drying dishes. Yikes.

Room Tip:Use the dryer twice as the first run didn’t quite dry our clothes properly.

This motel was a surprise treasure. We booked this at last minute as all of the hotels near Lake Tekapo and Pukaki were full (or very expensive) due to a long weekend.
I would do the extra drive to come here and get away from the craziness of the tourist area. The unit was large and very clean and bright, with a well stocked kitchen and even a washer/dryer combo in the unit. A very comfortable stay.
There is a good pub a 5 minute walk away that had good food and a fun environment.

Comfortable motel a couple of minutes walk from a number of cafes and restaurants. Stayed here as part of cycling tour doing the A2O. My room did not have the laundry facilities available in some of the other rooms/apartments but there is communal washer and drier ($4 dollar each) which met my needs. Fairly standard motel, with very comfortable bed and reasonable amount of space.

Comfortable hotel in Omarama. Traditional and clean room, comfortable beds and not too much traffic noise in off road rooms. Some 200 meters to the town center where is pub, cafe and supermarket. And one cafe next door.
There is 50 NZD penalty fee if customers don't wash and dry dishes. We have travelled many times in NZ and stayed at so many motels, B&Bs and hotels and this is the only place where I have seen this penalty fee.

There sre many kinds of rooms in this facility making it a little confusing to book including new apartments. We stayed in one of these. Everything appeared new in the apartment providing a very comfortable stay with a dishwasher a large TV with 50+ sky channels, comfortable bed, washer/dryer and heatpump. I would highly reccommend.

Pretty good overnight stop on the A2O cycle trail. Clean, comfortable and well-appointed rooms. Seems fairly recently renovated. The thing that swung this rating from a 4 to a 3 though were the aggressive rules - $50 fee if you don’t wash and dry your dishes, don’t bring your bike into your unit or all members of your group will be asked to leave. I highly recommend the Denheath custard squares at The Wrinkly Ram cafe next door!

This is a really clean modern motel. Really surprised that each room has a washing machine, fridge , dishwasher. Really hot water and impeccably clean. Will keep in the list of places to stay if we return to this area. Bike racks outside each unit and have a fishing shop on site for fly fishing!!

We had room 4. It consists of a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, toaster, microwave, kettle, sink and stove with oven. Perfect for preparing a meal or breakfast. There is a grocery store within a 5' walk. Seating area with sofa, table, TV. Wifi. Air conditioning heating. Separate bathroom and toilet. Dry your hair. The room is spacious consisting of a king size and a small bed. In a closet we even found an ironing board and an iron. Quiet motel. Washing machine and dryer for 8$NZ. In November everything is quickly sold out. This is the most expensive room of our stay (125€/night) but that's all we could find when booking the same day.

Really nice rooms, spacious. Ours even had a zero-clearance shower with a surround designed for handicapped use. Well-equipped, with a plus-sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and even a teeny dishwasher! WiFi works well, too (not something you can say for all hotels!).

Colin & Sue provide immaculate accommodation along with awesome local knowledge. The Wrinkly Rams restaurant is next door and 5 minutes walking South is the Boots and Jandals restaurant. Both serve beautiful food. I'm a linehaul truck driver and it's very handy having six truck parking spaces off the road, oposite the motel. Highly recommend this motel. Kind regards,Al.
