Very run down and expensive for the facilities available. Was very unkept and needs a good tidy up. It was a s of check in, no one around $43 no wifi and paid for showers. It was handy to town. We only had one night there and will not return. We travel a lot in our motor home.

Hospitable and friendly hosts, comfy beds, spacious and well equipped. Great views all round, I highly recommend the skyline hike just a 30 minute walk out of town. I stayed with Kiwi park for several days after some personal car trouble outside of town. The hosts were incredibly reassuring, and quickly turned a potential disaster in to a totally stress free surprise vacation. Even going the extra mile to check in and see how the rest of my journey had gone a few days later. 10/10 Thanks Lynn & Brent.

This is a quiet, well located campground staffed by friendly and helpful people. The facilities are excellent (take a 50c coin) and clean. Surrounded by trees you are in an oasis just a 2 minute bike ride to town.Very good rates for NZMCA members.

We stayed here for 1 night to break up the trip to Pohara. It was OK for 1 night I wouldn't stay here for longer. We travelled with 3 small children 1 was a 10 month old there is a $15 charge for a porta cot FYI. Could do with a re-furb even a paint lift. Beds were comfy and clean. We didn't cook but also found there wasn't much open on the Sunday for takeaways we got pizzas from the restaurant by the hostel they were delicious a bit pricey but worth it. Fine for 1 night stopover also no pool just to clarify.
