This is the best B@B we have ever stayed on .

We stayed in the retreat cottage it was amazing.
It has two double bedrooms ,living room with small kitchen area, large sun room looking over a wonderful garden.
The cottage is decorated in a tasteful antique quirky fashion that is so interesting and mesmerising.
The large queen size beds are so comfortable that we had the best night sleep ever.
There are all the amenities you would ever need from a substantial choice of toiletries to all the cleaning products you would need.
The fridge had fresh milk and orange juice every day along with cookies and chocolates.
The cottage was spotless and had a wonderful shower.
The Internet connection is excellent .
There is sky tv.
I don't know where to start with the breakfast.
The choice is excellent and Mrs P tried them all from the wonderful soft large pancakes with bananas and bacon. And syrup. The fabulous full breakfast with poached eggs thick bacon mushrooms bread and tomatoes with wonderful good quality sausages to the amazing eggs benedict.

All delivered booked on a tray every morning by Peter.

But the best part of the B&B are Annie and Pete who own it ,what fabulous friendly people .
I cannot believe it is so cheap to stay here...
We will definitely be back and will recommend it to everybody.
There is nothing anyone could ever complain about.
From the welsh couple Thank You Thank you .Thank you

This has to be one of the best equipped places to stay, given that it offers everything (and more) needed for a self catering holiday, but also includes an excellent breakfast. The breakfasts are much commented on and deservedly so. However the accommodation comes fully equipped with excellent beds, quirky details, and is in a peaceful setting which is handy to the varied delights of Warkworth, Matakana, Goats Island and more. Also close enough to Auckland for it to be used as a base for day trips to the CBD. (The use of the Park and Ride Express bus services from Silverdale or Albany especially at weekends is the best option for this?)
The hosts have included many very thoughtful touches - for example a spare sticking plaster and sunscreen in the bathroom cabinet. They deserve high praise. This is a glamorous resort - but a homely and comfortable option.

If ever an accommodation deserved an Excellent rating, then this is it. Located with easy access to State Highway 1 we stayed here touring north of Auckland, then again on the way south.

Staying in the apartment the first time then the cottage the second. Both were amazingly well equipped and so well decorated. So many thoughtful touches, like milk in the fridge and so many other things too numerous to mention. The cottage comes with a beautiful garden. Breakfast is included with a range of options and served to your own covered patio area. Our hosts are so welcoming you will wish you had booked more days. Pictures are from the cottage albeit rest assured you will not be disappointed with the apartment.

Stayed here for one night only but would have been delighted with longer. We had the cottage and it was just lovely, decorated in a quirky way which matched the vintage store next door which is on the site.
Really appreciated the chocolates, biscuits and milk in the fridge as well as the well stocked kitchen. The breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake-I had eggs Benedict and my partner had an omelette, served with bread and jams and orange juice in the fridge and brought to our door at the time we asked for.
The garden space at the back is also beautiful and we were just sad it was a rainy afternoon though we made good use of the back covered porch. Thank you to Peter for your hospitality.

We stayed here on two separate nights during our road trip to the top of NZ and back. Absolutely amazing place. The rooms were so well prepared, excellent beds and atmosphere. The breakfast provided was 10/10! Would return here without hesitation and definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay. The hosts are also extremely friendly and accommodating!

A very peaceful and restorative night (sadly only one night). Peter was the perfect host (interested and interesting, but not intrusive) and the room was more than we expected - lots of extra goodies and an excellent cooked breakfast. We had booked for one night too few in Whangarei but this MORE than compensated for abbreviated family time. Excellent value. A bit of traffic noise but not excessive or sleep-disturbing. THANK YOU, Peter.

Annie and Peter went beyond expectations to make our stay incredibly comfortable and unforgettable. The room is fantastic, great decor plus, you can find everything you need to have a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is delicious and served to your room. Garden/ country view is a very nice touch to the relaxing environment of the place. Place looks exactly like in the advertised photos.

Wow.
Was humbled by all the treats.
Couldnt stop eating th little licorice all sorts.
The pillows were the best I hav ever ever slept on.
Breakfast was amazing.
Felt very spoilt as the best part was none of the goodies were expected so it felt like my birthday.
Peter had heater on waiting for me.
I stepped out of shower into one of the 5 plush bath robes.
It was then I new there really was heaven on earth too,
Each time I pop down to auck I wil feel that it's my place and anyone there is really in my space as I left a bit of my ♥️ there.
Thanku
Anne
