Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were warmly greeted by Renèe who showed us around the apartment to which she pulled every tourist info map of Tairua and gave us the best tips on where to eat, see and do in the area. You can’t go past the view - it was breathtaking! Situated on Mount Paku, it’s a quick brisk walk to the summit or the beach below. Close to town with a 4 square and dairy so if you forgot anything at home you can get from here. Cute little town with some great local people. This won’t be the last time we visit Tairua xx

My goodness this place lives upto its name!! A VIEW TO DIE FOR!!! the most beautiful house and graden you just feel so welcome in from the moment you arrive. Lovely hosts with lots of local information and spades for the hot water beach. Loved the butterflies hatching in the green house, so interesting!! 360 degree views and even more on the Paku sumit just behind the house. The little town is great and just surrounded by breathtaking views, beaches and homes. Would definitely come back!!! Thankyou for a lovely honeymoon stay!

This apartment is the closest we have ever had to 100 out of 100. We arrived late but was cheerfully greeted by the owner, who gave a thorough rundown of accommodation and attractions. Thoroughly recommended. Best view in town too. Was like staying in a luxury house!!

Couldn’t fault it. Stunning views, very helpful host with lots of information about where to go. We stayed in the double room which was very well appointed. Everything you could want. One night just wasn’t enough. Good location to visit Cathedral Cove and Hotwater Bay.

We stayed at this lovely BnB in Tairua for two nights. We were excited to see our country's flag being flown as we arrived, and our host, Renee, was amazing. These people do everything they can to make your holiday the best it can be. The room is spotless and the view? WOW! It would be hard to beat this! We had every type of weather in our two days, and the view was spectacular even in the rain! The suggestions to make your holiday even better are thoughtfully organized, and numerous... more than you'll have time to try! We wish we had booked for longer!

We have been there in summer. It was great. The view over the Pacific Ocean was amazing. The owners are very friendly (thanks to them they welcomed us with the flag of our federal state). We felt at home there. It's a nice place to stay again.

When we arrived at this property a Canadian Flag had been raised to welcome us. The room was lovely and the view of the bay stunning. We received useful tips on local restaurants and attractions from the host. We had a very comfortable and quiet stay and were able to fit in a quick hike to the top of Puka Hill (the trail for this walk leaves across the road of the property), before we had to leave for the rest of our vacation the next day.

This apartment offers a superb view over Paranui beach, an external dining area and comfortable living for two people. It is equipped with a drawer-type dishwasher, combination microwave, washing machine and electric hob, thus offering all you are likely to require for your stay. The owner, Renee, was very helpful throughout our stay, offering to assist us with luggage in and out, giving us tips for places to visit and also providing small spades for visiting Hot Water Beach. The apartment sits part-way up Paku, an extinct volcano, and you can walk to the top of it from the apartment without requiring a car, should you be fit (or daft) enough. The location of the apartment does require that you have use of a vehicle, as it is quite a long way from the centre of Tairua. The views from the apartment and the outside patio are superb in good weather. Tairua itself is very well-situated for touring the Coromandel but is also a very pretty place in itself, and we found Coastal Heights to be perfectly positioned for exploring both the town and the surrounding areas.
